You are right on the fact that christianity was used to justify enslaving and pillaging West Africa. The most popular slave ship was named "the good Jesus".

There is no punishment for slavery in the Quran, despite it being a worse offense than adultery- which has a prescribed punishment.

1) What other factors embedded therein? You want to formulate some subjective islamic opinions to claim lies abi? What stops a 12 year old girl from marrying in islam if she and her fiance agree and want to get married?


2) A non-muslim girl gave birth at 14 (due to bad parenting) and you then want to correct it by bad parenting by sentencing other girls to marry at 14 (to stop them from having sex outside marriage). Why not educate your children not to have sex until they are adults rather than forcing them into child marriage?

I have seen this argument time and time again- a nairaland muslim coming to explain that puberty (after first menstruation) is when a girl is ready to be married.

The issue here is that this puberty occurs in girls from 9-15 years. So, should a 9 year old get married? How about 13? Or 14?

This is very easy. You know in the West, some women are grandma at 30 true or false?. And they aint married.

A young friend of mine is 21 last November. Her mom is 36. She had her when she was 14 out of wedlock.

Question is, at that age did she understand what sex means?. Yes, if so, why can't she marry instead?.

If her first child was mistake, then she had another child at 16 by another man. And at 17 she had another child and at 20 she had another one.

Now, all her 4 children are grown. Oldest is 21. Her mom is 36. This oldest child also just gave birth at 20 a year ago to a thug, no marriage.

2) What is the justification for the prophet having more than 10 wives when 4 is the limit?

4) Why is there no hijab or niquaab for men?

5) Can it be explained why no islamic country is in the top 20 developed countries (HDI) in the world?

This is the religious problem in Nigeria.

Both the Quran and Bible have verses telling us to use wisdom in making choices. However, we in Nigeria just readily accept a conservative version of religion and continue without analyzing our choices.

Marriage is not a simple thing. There are many variables that have to be analyzed before settling down.

Here are the things one must think of with early marriage-

1) Marrying early has many benefits such as being able to have children at an early age when the body is still active and also, seeing your children becoming adults before one is very old.

2) Marrying early does not solve fornication or adultery. If one rushes into marriage, he or she might find himself or herself longing for divorce to meet a more suitable partner.

3) Maturity and responsibility are needed for any marriage to survive. Many young people do not have these two traits. A young wife or husband miight not be mature enough to handle marital responsibilities.

4) Patience is also a virtue in islam, isn't it? If one doesn't find a suitable partner, is he or she meant to rush? Do you know how hard it is to find a suitable partner in some societies? Ask any muslim woman or man living in certain parts of the west or secular cities, there are not many faithful muslims to enter relationships with. Sometimes, we have to wait/work for good things to come.

5) Pedophilia has to be mentioned here. How early is "too early"? This is because, it is common now both in the north for some people to look for brides as young as 14. Say "NO" to such practices. Say "NO" to VVF.

Marrying early is great but we must consider the variables, especially the kind of partner we want before we enter into it.

I don't know why these are issues in 21st century after men of great knowledge have utilized them. These things are perfectly allowed in Islam. If you say no, then it's bida'a to go to orthodox hospital or use orthodox medicines as well.

You have to understand that Islam encompasses all aspects of life including medicines. These stuff you mentioned are under Islamic edification, so long as they are used properly. Misusing them constitute "malpractice" not bida'a.

Likewise, if you question "black soap", you should as well question Lux, Imperial leather etc.

Those who criticize these things only impede broad exploitation of knowledge of the religion. Their excuse is "prophet didn't practice it. Sahaba didnt practice it. Therefore, anything not practiced by the prophet and sahaba is bida'a or haram". This view of theirs is shamefully ridiculous. Why should the prophet(SAW) and sahaba(RTA) use these stuff when he himself is barakat to himself and his sahaba?.
