fedex01: Lol, characterization of facts wouldn't prove your point.
I never stated nor do I believe that *all* Muslims are holy. That'll be weird since it is impossible.
However, what I'm comparing is *relatively* Islam enjoy much, much more global influence as compared to Christianity. And hence Islam has been the most influential and powerful religion of history (and will remain as such because I see no religion challenging it in future and no religion can arise in future age due to scientific advance).
That is a simple fact. Premarital sex happens everywhere..but relatively, it happens much, much less amongst Muslims than Christians globally. That's a fact proven by data-based research. Again, *relatively* Islam is practiced by way more people than christianity is practiced by christians--it doesn't mean that ALL muslims practice Islam--I'm just talking about in terms of relativity.
You have not countered any of my posts on previous pages regarding how christianity is a dead thing of past while Islam is thriving. It shows that even YOU know what I'm saying is right.
Again, don't come back and say "But lots of Muslims also do balh blah"...I know. I'm talking about in relative terms. For example, 80% to 90% of 'christian' (lol) girls in U.S.A have sex with multiple guys before marriage. Whereas, only 5% to 10% of Muslim girls have the same in Pakistan--You see, in relative terms, Islam is being much, much more influence in shaping people's lives than christianity ever has. That's my point.
You can't shy away from reality. You seem to not understand that Islam and Christianity have the same enemy- SECULARISM/ATHEISM. People are leaving religion to be irreligious. Most christians in the west would rather convert to atheism or buddhism before even thinking of islam. Christianity might not have the influence it once had but it is far more powerful than Islam. Churches wield far more riches and influence than most islamic clerics. |

fedex01: Lets not get carried away.
Saudi Arabia has one of the highest HDI in the world. They ARE developed. And did you really say that somehow Iranian and Pakistanis are similar to Nigerians? No disrespect but this is laughable.
Iranians have thrown their own satellites into space by using their own SLVs (one of the most advance technological machines ever built). Iranians make their own cars and have made their own missiles that can hit targets thousands of miles away.
Pakistanis have designed nuclear reactors and have developed miniaturized nuclear weapons. Do you know the magnitude required to build a miniaturized nuclear-reaction device? Only 6,7 countries have ever been able to do it in ENTIRE history!!!! And you say Pakistani economy is on same technological level as Nigerian economy? Please, don't embrace yourself.
That's like saying "Mexican economy is same as U.S economy" lols.
Btw, Pakistan has no oil. Yet they build their own fighter jets, tanks, construct french submarines in their docks, have their own missiles systems, and have one of the most advance agricultural system in the world. These countries you mention are the worst countries to ever emulate when it comes to economic policies. Pakistan is suffering from inequality and poverty but yet, the build nuclear weapons (albeit with the help of non-muslim foreigners' technology). 60% of the Pakistani ppopulation live under 2 dollars a day. Islamic Middle-East (GCC) are one of the richest and most developed places on entire Earth! Nigeria is not a poor country either. The funds are just mismanaged That being said, Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have useless economies. You are just looking at the oil money they use to build fancy roads and structures. fedex01: Sister (presuming your a lady), you aren't getting my point somehow.
christianity is no way near more popular than Islam. We are NOT counting "nominal" numbers. For example, in America (where I live btw right now), the majority of "christians" are not christ followers. They don't even believe in Christ. For them, since their parents were christians--they get 'registered' as christians. These "christians" don't read or care about bible..and they drink, do drugs, sex before marriage is normal, don't pray, don't believe in God, and even celebrate Christmas as a "cultural" holiday. Yet these irrelegious/non-believing people get registered as 'christians' because of their parents' registration with local churches and due to cultural reasons. What You fail to understand is that your islamic countries are not more holy or even more religious than the West. Do you think that muslims in Saudi Arabia and the middle east are all holy? The only thing holding them back is the laws and ostracization they get from being apostates or doing something deemed unislamic. In the UK, we see muslims from middle eastern origin drinking and eating pork. Do you think that people love religious laws? Do you think that muslims in islamic countries dont have abortions, dont steal etc? How many middle eastern princes have been caught fornicating, doing drugs and partying like mad men? Come off your islamic high horse |

finofaya: Like I said, the time difference does not warrant claiming that it is difficult to lay your hands on a file.
Each of the 36 states, the fct and the republic have their own judiciary so adopting a single standard for them is not likely. I don't see the relevance of this though. If I need something from a case file in lagos, it does not matter to me that kwara state stores its case files in a different way from lagos state. Fortunately in practice most states store files in a similar way, usually chronologically.
I was talking about any court. The registrars tend to know where their files are. More commonly however, you submit an application asking a a certified true copy of whatever it is you need from the file and the registry lets you know when the ctc will be ready. This works even at the magistrate, sharia and customary court level.
You can respect their opinions while accepting that other opinions have merit too. I think the fact that the court of appeal and supreme court are able to function shows that there is decent record keeping in place at the lower levels, considering that it is the records from these courts that are used at the upper levels. Bookmarked for later. When I get more evidence. I will try to find out by either going to get case records myself or through someone. I sincerely doubt that it is as smooth as you say. |

fedex01: Just for the record: I have been to Western World. Lived there. I know what I'm talking about. They are completely secular and irreligious and they don't care about christianity. For them, even holidays like Christmas as CULTURAL holidays and NOT "religious" holidays. That's especially true for younger generation.
Whereas, as I stated, Islam is far more successful and influential than christianity on global scale. Even countries like Pakistan--which are powerful, nuclear-armed states with one of the most powerful militaries of the world-- are based on Islam and are Islamic republics as stated in their constitution.
Name any one powerful state based on christianity and bible? lols.
You see, Islam has already surpassed christianity in terms of "actual" practicing followers and global influence. The nominal numbers don't mean much.
Also, Islam gained ~2 billion followers in less than 1450 years..Christianity took 2000+ years to do the same. Islam has been the most powerful and successful religion of history. No religion even comes close in terms of success, influence, and global spread in such short time (1435 years to be exact). Christianity couldn't even make it outside Europe in 1435 years lol.. Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran. These are countries that base their law on islam. Yet these countries have poverty, poor human rights records and poor women's rights records. (Iran is improving on their women's rights small sha) Popularity of a religion does not translate to authenticity or correctness of the religion. Even by popularity, there will still be more christians than muslims in 50 years to come. Atheism is exploding in Saudi Arabia, so be careful. |

finofaya: The records are kept reasonably well. While you might find a given file faster if proper indexing has been done, I don't imagine the time difference warrants claiming that it is difficult to lay hands on court records. I've never spent more than a few minutes waiting for a file to be retrieved. This is only for when you want to peruse the file anyway. Otherwise you just submit an application for whatever it is you need from the file and the registry tells you when to return for it.
This is Nigeria indeed, but it seemed like you were making it about the legal system. Just note the phrase that I bolded in your comment. What guarantees that proper indexing? Are there standardized methods of keeping court records across Nigeria? I highly doubt that. And also, which courts were you talking about when you said you only had to wait few minutes to get the files? I got my information about court records keeping from two seasoned lawyers in Lagos who have worked across Nigeria. Maybe times are changing but I respect their opinions. |

DeathStroke007: Despite explaining the meaning of jihad..you still think jihad means war. Is it quran meaning of jihad you will believe or media meaning of jihad? Oyo lo wa Yawn. Rilwayne01, Vedaxcool, Empiree. Why do you guys always tell lies about your religion? Are there not dual meanings of Jihad? One is the inner struggle to understand islam and the other is outer struggle- Wiki- Jihad Muslims and scholars do not all agree on its definition. Many observers—both Muslim and non-Muslim—as well as the Dictionary of Islam, talk of jihad having two meanings: an inner spiritual struggle (the "greater jihad" , and an outer physical struggle against the enemies of Islam (the "lesser jihad" which may take a violent or non-violent form.
Jihad is often translated as "Holy War", although this term is controversial.According to orientalist Bernard Lewis, "the overwhelming majority of classical theologians, jurists", and specialists in the hadith "understood the obligation of jihad in a military sense."[16] Javed Ahmad Ghamidi states that there is consensus among Islamic scholars that the concept of jihad will always include armed struggle against wrong doers.[17] |

finofaya: The judges, magistrates, alkalis, chairmen, assessors or what have you always write down the proceedings of the court they are conducting. Getting the record is as simple as applying for it from the registry and paying the requisite fee. Where did you get your fact from? Are you speaking theory or practical? I am saying this because, I did a course on business law and when I first wanted to start my company, I looked on google for a government database of registered companies like they have in the UK. I couldnt find one. This then led me to ask my close acquaintances who are lawyers about court records and stuff. They claimed that it is difficult to get hands on court proceedings, especially in the past. That the process was difficult. So, yes they might keep records but how well is it kept and how easy is it to access the records? In my hometown where the local court is struggling with electricity and everything is done on file and paper. One misfiling and a whole case disappears. Even your passport files are thrown in disorganized heaps at the immigration office. My uncle's passport (not the file) was mistakenly tossed into a heap of other passports in 2010 when they thought he was not around for collection after calling his name. Right there and then, he came and they couldnt find his passport for three days. This is Nigeria. |

fedex01: Losing ground? lol, it has already lost it. Nowhere in the world christianity has any influence left. It is a dead, humiliated, defeated thing everywhere. There's no countries based on christianity. No societies with christianity at their center. Christianity's only taken seriously in sub saharan africa but even they don't live a fully christian life and even sub saharan african countries have not based their constitutions on christianity.
While Islam is thriving globally wherever it exists. There are tens of nations that have Islam as the basis of their constitutions. Even in secular countries like Turkey--Islam is at the center of society and thriving. Even in Western World--Muslims are thriving, hijabs are common, halal food is everywhere, and thousands of new mosques build over the years.
Islam, as a religious force, is successful Mashallah--while christianity is a failure.
Sex before marriage, drugs, births out of wedlock, hedonism, gay marriage, mainstreaming of abortion, living without marriage, and non-traditional family are MAINSTREAM culture of "christians" in Latin America, U.S and rest of Europe. Toilet paper has more relevance to Westerners than "bible" and "christian" values. That's a fact. Even you know it, don't you? Interesting. |
