Mine was done since 13 April, and it is yet to be updated. chuksinfotech: Good Evening Everyone,
Please how long does it take to for an Upfront Medical Examination to be updated.
My previous upfront medical exams expired in February and i repeated it on the 25th of April and submitted via email same day and also submitted via webform the next day.
Although i got confirmation of submission by IRCC on Thursday 28 April.
So how long before it would reflect on my portal? |

Good morning, all. Application submitted via old portal. Biometric requested, and booked appointment. Medical - showing 'Not Required'. Should this not be a concern to me?
However, I have gone ahead to do medical with IOM. How will the results be communicated to them? Any advice...please? |

Thanks so much. Ketima: Hello,
24 hours after payment/submitting your application, you will get Biometrics instruction letter BIL telling you to proceed to book for Biometrics.
But in applications I have done recently using both the GCKey and new portal, I noticed that BIL came just few hours after submission. |

Facts about my SOP (7 pages) • I called it Letter of Explanation (That is what I saw on the IRCC portal). • It was written by me within 3 weeks, with the help of the Almighty God. Contributions were made by my husband, 2 student already in Canada, I also got a contact from Nairaland, already in canada whom I sent it to for review and he shared an SOP (an extract) with me. I added somethings from the extract to my SOP. • I used this format: Introduction, Academic background and Work Experience (BSc. Biochemistry; completed 2008, MBA; completed November, 2021 and 10years work experience), Why I decided to study the course, Career aspiration and Volunteering experience (I added my volunteer experience because I read that it is appreciated), why school of choice, Why Canada, Proof of Means of Financial support (I created 2 tables, one showed expense and the second table showed amount available; Rella; OJC group also affirm this format when I shared with her). I had 2 lump sums: 7.5M from my co-operative savings which was transferred to my account on 04.01.2022 and my husband transferred 5M to me; a day before I submitted my application (I contacted @TheGabby; OJC group who advised that my husband should transfer it and not leave it in his account) • Home ties: Family ties and Economic ties - My husband and Children, my professional membership and responsibility, aged parent (my mum will take care of the children to enable me focus on my studies and not be distracted), prospect of the course I’m going for and increased earning power when I return, Impact on Africa Continental free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Stages of Anxiety • Medical Update: Feb 3rd IOM, but was not updated until Feb 23rd. This took long compared to the timelines I’ve being seeing (I did not receive mail from IOM after medical, so I contacted them and they sent my result and informed me that it has been forwarded to IRCC). N.B: NO Webform was sent until it was updated. • Passport sent to Abuja: When my passport was delivered by DHL to VFS for stamping on the 28th March, 2022, there was no acknowledgement email, I had to mail them before they sent my tracking number (4 mails was then received within few minutes intervals). Whenever I track it on the VFS site, the same message (application is under process at the IRCC office) is what was displayed for 4days. On the 4th day (31st March, 2022), I sent a mail to VFS Abuja to let me know the true status of the passport sent to them for stamping. Few minutes later, I received a mail from them stating that decision envelope has been dispatched (different message from what is shown when I track it on VFS Portal). About 3 hours later, I received 2 emails that the decision envelope has been received from VFS, Abuja at CVAC, Abuja and has been collected from CVAC, Abuja. (I checked my IRCC portal and Counterfoil just updated; No email received from CIC) • Passport picked by DHL from VFS Abuja on the same day; 31st March, 2022
How I coped with the anxiety • I prayed to God (I’m a Christian) • I surf nairaland for any info, a lot of screenshots to read over and over again • OJC group chats
Note: I decided to do it myself because of the experience I had with a college admission gotten through a popular person/company on Instagram offering a free admission processing (but high exchange rate for application fee). When I got access to the application, he used an unknown person as my next of kin and included unknown number as my next of kin contact. I changed it on the portal and when I complained, he said it doesn’t matter. I was shocked and right there, I made up my mind to secure another admission (University) and apply for the student visa myself which I did with the help of the Almighty God.
It has indeed ended in praises.
To all PPR hopefuls, I wish you all the best and to those keeping all the do-it-yourself platform active, thank you so much. |

Hello! House. Zenith bank and First Bank sends MBS straight to embassy on request, and copy you a pin or so. How does one capture this on the IRCC Study permit application? Is it the pin/code you fill? How come one don't get to see what they sent? Assuming there is error in sent My bank statement? How does one get the IRCC to know it belongs to a certain applicant? This has got me worried.....oooo Pls, who has been thro this route......kindly help! |

Thanks, ShowYoung. The question still needs clarification: who sends the medical to RICC for the already submitted study permit application? Is it the form that I will submit? How about the results? ShowYoung: 1. IOM will provide you upfront medical form. It's stated on their website.
2. You must wait for biometric request letter which is important for accessing VFS office. That letter usually comes a day after study permit application submission. After getting this letter, you can book for biometric appointment.
3. You don't need to send your biometric result yourself. Most people get theirs updated before they get home the same day the biometric is done. |

Good morning, house. I need to get clarification from the house: 1. If you do book for upfront medical, and actually submitted the study permit before the date for upfront medical; which form do you use at the IOM?
2. If one submit study permit earlier; will one wait for biometric request, or you can proceed to book for it immediately? 3. How do one send a biometric result to IRCC, if one decides to do before the IRCC request?. Thanks, all. |

Gift212: An easier to convert visit visa to SOWP is by flagpoling (google/search youtube for more info). It's basically going to the border, tell them you're here to flagpole, they allow you walk into US, walk back into Canada and there you tell them what you're there for. You'll need to go with your passport, spouse study permit, not sure what else. Do more research, but yes it's possible.
Duration of visa is on the visa stamp, but one cant stay more than 6 months at a given time Wao...... Learning a new thing here. Thanks@Gift212 |

I began my immigration process initially in June 2021 and to ensure things went to plan, I sourced out the packaging of my profile to an agent who had assured me that he was knowledgeable and experienced in the Canadian immigration process so I could rest easy. After a tedious process and a shabby profile package this guy put together for me, my application was refused by the Canadian Embassy on the 23rd of September, 2021 on grounds of purpose of visit, limited employment prospects and not truthfully answering questions asked of me. That was my first refusal and I became very much distraught.
In my quest for a re-application, I got wind of @Frankrobbn1 services, the MD/CEO of fandrglobal.com, through numerous testimonies. Due to my previous encounter with agents I was initially skeptical about him but once I contracted his services, my story changed for the better. He was the angel sent to me by God to turn my story around from sorrow to joy.
Truly, Mr. Frank is one agent who I can assure you is worth his salt. Once I contracted his services, he calmed me down and asked me to place my confidence in his expertise while promising me that he would strategically tackle the grounds for refusal claimed by the IRCC. I initially had a huge fear about my program being flagged as I was applying for a PGD program while holding two Master's degree in MBA and International Law & Diplomacy from OAU and UNILAG respectively but Mr. Frank assured me while my profile presented certain peculiarities, he would be able to sell the necessity of my program and I should trust his services which I did and lo and behold! I now proudly celebrate my approval.
@Frankrobbn1 the good Lord will continue to bless you for me. You are truly one of the few out there who truly are knowledgeable in their craft. I bless the day I came across your services. For those reading this and questioning if they should contract @Frankrobbn1's services, I don't know what your previous experiences are but one thing I can assure you is that it would be the best decision you will make in your canadian immigration journey. I do not regret any money I spent in procuring his expert services as it proved to be worth every penny and more I spent.
Thank you all for the correspondence and assistance being given on this platform for aspiring immigrants. I wish everyone expecting updates positive responses. Keep at it, it will end in praise for everyone. Congratulations! 1.Please how many kids are you travelling with, at the same time? 2. Is your spouse joining you at this first travelling? |
