thanks for your kind input. I leased it for one year. As it stands now, unless I get more funds, it's unlikely that I will be able to plant this year again. the leased land is located quite far (19km) from my home. So I don't feel it is worth it doing anything less than a hectare. (if you get my point) excanny: How long did you lease this farmland?
And do you still intend to plant maize again. Seems the year is almost gone.
I would have suggested you start small like say 2 plots and perfect everything before going big as much as a hectare cos you have so many stuffs draining your finances.
I like your zeal tho. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Do Christians Fall Sick???? by jackomagnus(m): 4:00pm On May 25, 2018 |
The simple answer is: you fall sick because you are human; flesh, blood, susceptible to disease. It's like also asking why we die. I don't know where in the scriptures people, while in this world, were promised they will no longer fall sick. The bible only talked about healing and being healed. And for you to be healed, you must first have fallen sick, right? oluwakayodae: We have surrendered our lives to Christ and accepted him as our Lord and personal saviour and even live the life of a good Christian and pattern our lives according to Scripture but why do we still fall sick?
is it God's will? is it our sins? WHY?!!!!
This link below leads to an article posted by one of Nigeria's leading gospel blog that sheds light into this puzzling question..

I would like to correct an impression, pleaseI tried using the brush cutter again and it worked like magic! I think the problem I had about the cutting initially was with the technique rather than with the machine. I can say for sure now that with the machine, one can do what a machete would do- and even more! jackomagnus: There's a thick layer of previously dried weeds underneath the new bushy growth. It poses unsurmountable cutting problems for the brush cutter. Ganyak: I am about to acquire a brush cutter. Pls, what makes the cutter useless in your farm. |

Things didn't work as planned. Only very few of the weeds were killed and so, the burning was virtually impossible I'm also out of funds so, I might just defer it till I have more funds. Hopefully by the end of this month |

The back-to-back rains had been quite an impediment to burning the bush. So, I was on my way to burn the bush in the farm on Saturday, only to be stopped by security officials on the way: LG elections were going on and there's restriction of movement. Yesterday Sunday, I geared up. On my way out of the house, the car's gear system collapsed. It's Sunday; no mechanic to help out. Looks like some Egba principalities are on this matter. Holy Ghost faya! Today, this morning, I'll fix the car and zoom right there to start the burning. Hope rain will not fall before I'm done. Wish me luck |

16 years for a dog is like 110 years for man. Anh-ahn bros, if na you... you no go prefer to die in peace? Why are you such a weekid sombori? Ishilove: Well, at least he looks like he is dying. He is now emaciated and all his favourite food is being rejecteted.
He has lost all his teeth and only eats soft food. He is even rejecting fish and ordinary soup. The poor thing is perpetually hungry but when we give him food, it is the lizards in the compound and neighbourhoods birds that it (you should see how fat those lizards are now).
Can anyone suggest what to feed a sixteen year old dog who seems to have lost his taste for food? Please, it hurts so much watching him waste away. Yesterday he was staggering around like a drunk because of hunger. We had to feed him left over meat pie and gala before he could get himself.
Please, suggest something.
*sob*
PS- My dog's name is Ruggedman, so no one should go and harass the rapper with 'get well soon' messages. |

You are quite unintelligent. QED Proudlyngwa: Wrong move.
They should have allowed this to cool down before making a statement. Except the so-called sales rep has been heavily settled or threatened, He will damage Emzors reputation beyond recognition.
Such high level acts, don't go without the involvements of factory workers, managers and security personnels in the company.
That being said, cough medicine is an over the counter drugs and it is not illegal. The BBC should not come and cause a storm where there is none, There are people who are addicted to paracetamol, a lot of British youths get wasted on nitrous oxide which is not illegal.
The sales rep might have been doing illegal transactions but he never sold anything illegal. |

It's illegal, bro. You shouldn't sell codeine or drugs containing codeine without a doctor's prescription. NwaAmaikpe:

This is pure fvckery,
The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria is yet to outlaw the sale of Codeine.

The project has resumed! Just yesterday, I commissioned two people to spray the farm. They'd be using Paraquat at 0.75 litres/acre. Earlier, I tried using a brush cutter: it was useless in this case! I had to consult the local farmers and that was their recommendation- either glyphosate or Paraquat. The expectation is that say, four days after spaying, the bush should have dried out (dessication), then we burn them. Then we plant! Pictures coming soon. |

Agriculture › Re: Reduce Farm Labour Cost : Get Powered Mini Weeder/cutter by jackomagnus(m): 7:12am On Mar 26, 2018 |
Quite objective. Kudos! Newway2: For now, d price ranges from 90k (for 3 in 1) to 170k (for d 9 in 1 configuration).
Habgito is a hand push motorised farm tool. it is a lot more expensive than our own hand carriage & portable motorised weeder. D cheapest Habgito machine is 430k. Am sure u know that an average 1-10acre farmer can't afford Habgito machine.
While admitting that in terms of tilling, Habgito does a better job. Our mechanical can do lots of other farm work which Habgito can not do.
e.g, Habgito can't slash, mow, cut shrubs or trees or harvest. These tasks are equally important & needed on our farms.
Meanwhile, our mechanical can perform all these tasks & still till & weed.
Put side by side, for small holden farmers; mechanical weeder is a better choice.
Thank you. |
