Travel › Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Jackossky(m): 1:48pm On Mar 26, 2019 |
19CannyMum: Don't be funny. A small class in UNIBEN has ~150 students. That's just one class, as per maybe 200 level. Multiply by 4 for all levels. Then by 8 for the department. And then 20 for faculty. Then by another 12 for all faculties/schools...
Then add part-time, post grad students. Then add those who aren't really students but just live in/around school and attend classes/hang around.
We're not yet talking of children of staff, students in the staff school, vendors who live in/around school to cater to student's needs... As per the last time, total students equal a small number above 70,000 |

Dear Freshers, how are you all doing? Yea, finally in Uniben!!! A sage once howled "When you get to Arab, behave like arabians' All eyes would be on you to extort you, don't buy things at the initial price given to you, instead, divide it by two. School is not a place to form, learn to haggle. While at it, be responsible. Girls, don't be rude. Guys, ummmm,Yea! They would probably collect her like artifact but don't fight, the tides would tilt to your favour as you go higher. To those staying outside school hostels, be respectful. Learn to say NO! You understand?
Be careful of friends, your mum must have probably told you this. Anyone you come in contact with on your day of clearance would probably be your friend till you finish the UNI. So, steer clear of the ugly ones. Just sat HI to the pretty and handsome ones, trust me, just a hello and you would be friends for years. Time would mend the relationship.
Lecturers are not your mate even if some seems so; please, respect them. When I say you don't wanna be in a lecturer's black book; believe me 100%.
Never forget, treat the cleaners and security men with utmost respect; it's not as if they want to be in that position but circumstance beg to differ, besides, most have kids that are through with UNI.
E joor oo, don't behave like a sissy, if what's been done is wrong, leave there, don't be the butt of a joke, you don't wanna be morose till you finish Uni.
I welcome you all once again to the citadel of knowledge. [s]Welcome brain, it takes only a brain to belong.[/s] Cc Sola Stay-lites Bosses at the top. |

So bad your mum's first child is unwise. He no just get sense so it becomes proper for you to generalize.
Come to think of it, if the phenomenon is ubiquitous in your area, it definitely means your community is suffering from 'First-child-retardation syndrome' Be happy, this sickness/virus is relative. So, it doesn't happen everywhere. |

patrick89: which oyo? the one Dahomey women came and chased away?
The truth of the matter is Egun peeps are not yoruba in no regard, they're forced to speak yoruba, my stay in badagry opened my eyes! they speak their distinct language, their culture musical instrument traditional attires are very different from yoruba! it just like saying ibibio are igbos! or Ijaws are igbos! they share nothing in common, most of them tend to understand yoruba to survive, yoruba don't understand anything in their language They are mostly traditionalists, they are veer peaceful and hardworking!! Egun peeps look more muscular than yoruba! Honestly the injustice is too much, you need to see their public schools! if you go to badagry you will understand, infact If I should suggest, they should join their kits and kins in Benin republic! They also enjoy dual citizenship, they are mostly uneducated, you will see a young girl of 20 years that can not speak come" and "go" they lack everything I have written something similar about this but, as usual they came and dismissed it! if you see any of them with yoruba name, then he /she must have adopted the name. Egun people are culturally strong! ie they are still deep into their culture!! Using an eye to look you. Who are you to speak for the whole tribe/populace? A 20-year old girl? You make me gasp for breath. Where did you stay in Badagry? I mean, where did you visit to say most are illiterate? Please, don't flack such misinformation. The primary/ secondary schools? I might understand if you say you visited the environ in the 50s, if you were here, you would know that development has become prevalent in the society; especially in the area of education. About the tribe, there are several asservations to support/ refute the claim that they are part of Yoruba. |
