My brother that's beside the point. We don't need to add 'first' before we know its a milestone project.
is it your first? let us add it!!! it's the first of it's kind in Nigeria. tell your governor to innovate too

That's a senseless comparison. Comparing students who are being taught to daft politicians who know what to do but would prefer deceiving the people with small inflated projects which they use tax payers money for. You want to praise a governor because he is doing what you voted him to do? Praise him because he used his personal money and is doing you a favour? I don't blame you. Suffer head has distorted your way of reasoning. You are so comfortable with the rubbish your useless governors dish to you. Asking me stupid question about what state im from as if any state in the whole nigeria is anything to be proud of.
daft politicians indeed. can you really say fashola didn't perform well in Lagos? whether you like it or not politicians can be likened to students who will be graded based on their performance at the end their tenure. you are the daft one here for now understanding a simple explanation.

ofcourse he didn't use his personal money but if these politicians deserve to be crucified for the high unemployment and poverty rate then they deserve to be commended when they build something that is the first of it's kind in Nigeria.

what kind of educated individual wants to apportion blames but is not ready to commend when a beautiful project like this is carried out? at the end of the day I'm sure your state government is somewhere using your money to build statues or build hotels in Lagos and Abuja.

what have we done to the likes of uduaghan, the two orjis, timpere sylva, akala, mimiko, gbenga Daniel, etc that mismanaged public funds? nothing!!! we only insult and scream. but when one man decides to do the right thing and build a bridge for public use to ease traffic and save man hours you can't commend him.

Mr pseudo intellectual, when next you want to call someone daft be sure you are making use of your brain in the process. hater!!!

When you see the way they praise their useless politicians for rubbish, you just wonder if they have been cursed. They do not even realise that these inflated projects are done with tax payers money. Nigerians deserve all the suffering they are getting now
in a class where the average student scores 3/10 a student that managed to scored a five should be praised and shown ways to improve!!! which state are u from? what are your governors doing?

To all those saying "fashola try", " Ambode is working ", i'm sorry to say but you're no different from political lackeys and N50 praise singers who sing the praises of their political benefactors.
You guys need to travel, pls go out and see the world develop at astonishing pace and less noise. For all the supposed wonderful things they have done in Lagos, its just a scratch on the surface. Our standard as Nigerians is too low and we're too comfy with mediocrity.
yes there is corruption in the country but pls give Kudos when there is the need to Mr traveller. a lot of states in the US have higher GDP than Nigeria yet you are comparing us with them in terms of infrastructure?

you have to crawl before you run Mr traveller

My dear, its becoming irritating sef. If not first in Africa, they will say First in Sub-saharan Africa. If not, na West Africa.
If others had beaten us to it, we will claim first in Nigeria, or first in southern Nigeria. We just have to attach a first to it for it to be any sensible. Some will even say first since 200X like seriously?
it's the first of it's kind in Nigeria. if you know any other cable bridge in Nigeria pls tell us the location

They could have made the bridge shorter and saved a lot of money.
uneducated one. the bridge has to link admiralty way. if the bridge takes any of your red lines do you know each plot of land the government takes from the owners will be at least 500m naira each. what about the cost of those mansions that would have to be demolished? the right way is to avoid demolition of billions of naira worth of property. that area has the most expensive set of buildings in nigeria

Guess you are too dumb to realize foreign reserves isn't what you think it is, you probably think it's an account we can withdraw money anytime, I pity ignoramuses like you, reason our foreign reserves is high is cos this govt decided to sale our euro bonds there is nothing magical about what they are doing, our foreign reserves will take a hit once the effects of the sold bonds are gone, we have been here before.
Olodo foreign reserve is where the government keeps money in foreign currencies for the purpose of trade in order to defend the local currency when there is shortage of the foreign currency in circulation. was it not dollars that GEJ was sharing to the obas and PDP delegates? we've not forgotten the one he approved for NIA DG that was found in ikoyi!!! instead of putting money in our foreign reserve Jonathan spent recklessly!!!

Hasn't this govt been spending too, and paying subsidy illegally I wonder why you guys are fixated on GEJ, is he contesting in 2019, face the failure you voted in and leave GEJ alone, he is miles better than dullard
you are very dull. PMB has been spending too. he met the reserves at 28b dollars and it currently stands at 35b dollars. how come the reserve is rising now that oil is lesser than 60dollars and it was falling when oil was between 70-110 dollars under Jonathan? stop being foolish grin use your brain before you argue.

as long as illiterates like you try to blame pmb for the recession without acknowledging the fact that your otueke thief Jonathan wasted our golden opportunity to save we will continue to hit you with facts and figures. olodo

Oh realy ahah Im far more educated than you can ever be in this life, its like comparing MTN to Virgin broadban.U think Im your mate who uses MTN Modern to acces NL.Tell us the capital in the FR b4 and after GEJ and as we speak howmuch is left?let us see if you are not a product of a failed school!
stop being an ignorant fool grin this has been debated here very well

obj met 4b and left 42b in 2007. it grew to 62b dollars in 2008. part of it was used to defend the economy when yaradua was there. by the time yaradua left it was at 42b dollars in 2009 when Jonathan took over.

there was no global economic crisis between 2009 and 2014 and oil sold between 80-110 dollars per barrel. so what did Jonathan do with 14b dollars of our foreign reserve at a time other oil producing countries were growing theirs? at the same period Saudi Arabia grew their foreign reserve to almost 700b dollars!!! Jonathan didn't grow ours instead he was spending it!!!!

https://www.nairaland.com/4230282/where-65bn-obasanjo-left-excess#63231540

when oil was selling for high price Saudi had over 700b dollars in FR. read here https://www.reuters.com/article/saudi-cenbank-assets/saudi-foreign-reserves-resume-falling-in-july-idUSL8N1LA5RY

now tell us what Jonathan did with our money. illiterate grin

YOu did not answer the simple question rather chose to call me names.Look we are allowed to be silly sometimes but you my friend is taking the P*****ss.Where you dead when a group of State Governors took the then FG to court to share the Money?? or was you too poor to buy news papers thenhuh and B4 you start, waht did you own state governor do with his share of teh money?
now for your own OLODO sake waht has slashing of salary got to do with the question I asked or you lack the ability to comprehend as well?
Olodo grin governors took Jonathan to court to share the excess crude oil account grin as for the foreign reserve Jonathan depleted it on his own. illiterate you don't even know the difference between ECA and FR grin

Saudi had over 700b in it's foreign reserve. why did Jonathan deplete our own from 45b to 28b?

you guys just like to talk grin grin
Olodo

if you ate earning 100naira and you refused to save won't you run into financial crisis when your salary get slashed to 35naira?

Jonathan refused to save. Jonathan caused the recession. get yourself educated bloody illiterate
Politics › Re: Recession: 5 Facts Before President Buhari Took Over Power In 2015 by Jaideyone(m):
good one OP. Saudi Arabia had over 500b dollars in foreign reserve during the oil boom. Saudi was able to defend it's economy with it's foreign reserve. Nigeria refused to save during the oil boom and there was nothing w would use to defend the economy when oil started selling at $40per barrel.

the recession was unavoidable!!!
