Your idea about this matter is not of standard. If you have spent 11 months on a job, you are entitled to a 1 month annual leave. So if you are giving a notice, its no different from when you are giving same during any of the month of your 11 month service. In any case, a 1 month notice doesn't stop you from collecting the salary for which the notice is given. Its only when you never notify your company at all, that you will have to forfeit a month salary in lieu of notice

Annual leave is let's say 22days out of 12 calendar months. So if you are not going to stay the 12 calendar months with them but want to take all your 22days, then get ready to refund some of your leave allowance with some interest if care is not taken.

I suggest you speak to someone in HR informally for proper guidance.

Yes, you can give a notice at same period.

Good day guys, hope the weekend's going pretty well? I just spoke with a big bro who's been a staff of NNPC for over decade, that's excluding his years as a contract staff. I briefed him on the cancellation rumours currently gaining traction. He immediately told me it's a lie from the pit of hell, but then i insisted on him finding out as opposed to just assuming. So, he made calls to 3 other guys, 2 of whom work in the HR department, and they all debunked such rumours..

He went on to enlighten me on how difficult it is to abandon a very credible recruitment exercise based on certain individual's grieviances. He also said, your connect has to be really tight to get in through the backdoor, especially in cases of a mass recruitment of this nature. Plus, those few top guns are usually not given more than one or two slots, and that depends on certain factors I'll rather not divulge, plus their names are also ascribed to whoever they put forward. I am not here to discredit anyone's source, put i really don't know where these cancellation rumours emanated from.

He also said, there is a lot of reshuffling currently going on and this is geared towards increasing professionalism, efficiency and productivity within the corporation. let's keep hope alive guys, God bless you all. Cheers..

The payment of EH is because EH will receive APL first,remember many of the GT will be supervised by the EH,especially the supervisors.

I think APL is around the corner, because payment is now more rapid. I mean they don't usually pay on Mondays,but they paid this time.If they can handle the remaining few payment before this week runs out,then APL is just very close,say anything from second week of the month and till Month end...APL may likely drop in batches too...

Was searching through some of my documents today and stumbled upon the NNPC Corporate Policy and Procedure Guide that was given to us during orientation.

It is a very detailed manual that talks about everything associated with NNPC including benefits/ entitlements, training, conditions for leave of absence, working hours, recruitment process ( shortlisting, interview types and panel composition for different grade levels, criteria for success, etc), specific kinds of jobs for each grade level, loans, long service award, secondment to IOCs...name it.

Quite interesting..

Remember that during interview,each staff calling applicants out to be ushered to their various panels are having separate lists and each doing their thing. So in payment I think, they are doing it one after another in a rotational form

You are right. We are all KWARA and EH. So it means they are doing it batch by batch. Although I wrote my exams in KWARA,but I'm from Kogi by Origin. So no particular pattern to the payment in relation to selection..

Your analysis makes sense. I was interviewed on the 4th as well. Had my CBT at Ilorin and scheduled for the same time with someone that had his CBT at Ilorin too.
