SixSeven: Thank you for this comment. It is just like the comment I saw about the Zaynab woman who married Akume and they are crucifying her. Human beings are wicked. If she sleeps outside, they will call her a whoore, she sleeps inside with a husband, it's still a problem to them.
They give advice they themselves cannot take. So because she lost her husband, she no go do activities for the other room again? If she no born pikin during her youthful period, these same people go remind her how she waste her youth. Human beings are insatiable.
Edit: again I am sure it is the women who have a problem with this. If their fellow woman die, these ladies don't waste time flocking around the man who just lost his wife. They want to 'help' him take care of his children, wash plate and many many things. Women are just too manipulative. Most of what they blame patriarchy on are what they do to themselves but find it easy to blame others because they don't like accountability. Men don't usually have a problem with this but WOMEN. Please read the MEN AGAIN in M.E.N. Oh my, your meme picture made my day. When pleasing everyone becomes your goal, your life stops being your own. |

todaynewsreview: Should the users pay for these? It's business. If you provide more transformers and meters, you'll definitely get more ROI.
Take Dangote for example, if he decides to invest in this sector, everyone will meters and transformers since he knows, the more he provides, the more ROI. That's exactly what he's doing in the oil sector now. That's a different topic, check the title of your post. |

todaynewsreview: Outside the increase hours they get, I don't see the need for differential rates. Are you expecting those who get at least 20 hours of electricity daily to pay same rate as those who get 4 hours daily? That's unfair and an outright cheating to Band E users. The more you use the more you pay is as simple as that. |

todaynewsreview: The point is, let's say both pay 1,000 naira for 20 units for example, Band A will exhaust theirs faster than Band E, thereby even buying more units since they enjoy more hours of light. There shouldn't be any discrepancy on the unit cost. Let's hear you, what do you think should be the best way to charge Band A users for service rendered? You definitely don't expect both bands to pay same cost for units, since the government is not subsidising anything here. |
Politics › Re: 'NEPA' Category Of Areas In Different Bands: An Unfair And Unjust System by Jakarta: 3:10pm On Dec 26, 2025 |
I don't think there is anything unfair here, it will be only unfair, if the band A users don't get the promised minimum 20hrs of electricity daily. There will always be an extra cost for extra services. You don't expect those living in Banana island to pay same rent with other areas in Lagos state, same thing applies to land cost.
I use both band A & E, and I must admit there are huge differences between both in terms of service delivery, as such the service cost of one is bound to be higher than the other.
A power outage of more than an hour on Band A will be considered abnormal, while 4 hours daily power supply for a month will be considered a miracle on Band E. 3 days of complete power outage are considered a norm on Band E in my area, though the cost is cheaper.
My grievances with DisCos is, the end user is responsible for cost of metering, transformers acquisition\installation and maintenance, electric poles and cables. Yet they still say we don't pay cost reflective tariffs. Expecting the Consumer Protection Agency to look into it, will translate to expecting the lion to start laying eggs, given the Nigerian factor. |

SeriouslySense: Maybe we are complaining too much. Maybe we should show it to the less privileged around us. I have always wanted to visit the orphans.
Those at idp camps. Or those who lost families to attacks. Show them that Jesus loves them. Bro the Nigerian factor is turning certain people into monsters. 2 years ago we gave a female worker at an orphanage home serious beating. She was secretly stealing and selling notebooks, and kids clothes gifted to the orphanage home, we've been tailing her, untill she was caught red handed. She mentioned names in positions even higher than hers in that orphanage home. Some were arrested but released hours later, after money exchanged hands. Given the Nigerian factor, the next man wants to take advantage or exploit the kind gesture of the other. The average Nigerian is corruptly heartless and wicked. |
Politics › Re: If Nigeria Breaks Up, North Will Be Far Developed Than West by Jakarta: 10:44pm On Dec 25, 2025 |
Richtaiwo: You and your tribe of like-minded echo merchants continue to regurgitate this infantile myth of the North as a parasite, long after facts have dragged it to the grave and buried it without ceremony. Yet you exhume it daily, not because it is true, but because your thinking seems allergic to evidence and addicted to convenient falsehoods.
Tell me, slowly, if necessary, what exactly does the North depend on from the East to survive? Produce a single indispensable commodity. Just one. If none comes to mind, that vacuum you feel is not oppression, it is the sound of an argument collapsing under the weight of its own stupidity.
And let it be clearly stated, I am not a Northerner. I am merely someone who finds self-deception to be the lowest form of intellectual poverty, and who has little patience for people who confuse prejudice with philosophy and noise with thought. Lol!! See how you exposed your bigoted and shallow thoughts process, so anybody that calls the North by its name, (a parasite of course) is automatically an easterner? For your info I'm not an easterner or affiliated with it, I'm a proud southerner the lubricant servicing the shithole and disgraced country of concern called Nigeria. |

Yet they remain parasites and poverty capitals of the country despite producing the highest numbers of head of states/presidents. Should Nigeria breakup the North will be the poverty capital and terrorists headquarters of the world. |

This is not about being demonic, but being ignorant. Haven't you seen cases of sons and daughters abandoning their parents because a pastor/native doctor labeled them witches & wizards? People are religiously ignorant imagine somebody strapping a bomb on himself just to kill himself and others because a religious leader brainwashed him that he is doing the right thing.
Sometimes it feels like outrightly banning religion or heavily regulating it should be a good call. Because it is bringing more harm than good to our societies, we all claim religiously righteous yet ignorantly wicked, blind spiritually, and heartless. |
