NetValueFX: I am back again. To push myself to higher limits . In my previous challenge. Link below. https://www.nairaland.com/6479984/12-months-forex-challenge I challenged myself to make a compound profit of 30% per month. Though I succeeded but I got bored after 5 months plus.
However in this challenge I am shortening it to 6months instead of the previous 12months target in my former challenge.
Here is the challenge:
Account: $500 Monthly compounding profit: 50% Max DD: 20% Average Risk to Reward: 1:6 Risk per trade: 2 to 3% Minimum Win rate: 50% Leverage: 1:500 Target Balance after 6 months: $5,500 Use of SL in 75% of my trade ( I have not used SL in years. So it's a challenge for my psychology)
Note: There was too much fight in my previous trade challenge because of too much negative energy. However, I will not be responding to any unconstructive negative comment.
It's called a challenge because it's a difficult task. It's called a challenge because there is room for failure.
Like in my previous challenge, I am hopeful to come out a Winner again. In as much as FX is a game of probability and many people barely make 5% in a month, winning requires a positive mindset and I must safe guard mine. Best of luck!!!!! |

Feshizzy: Market still dey dip
But I'm less worried, I have seen worse, This hasn't shake my account yet.
Once you believe in your strategy, You have more confidence in the market even if every dey red. You know say e go green eventually.
Cases like this is what turns me from a scalper to swing Because my scalp most confirm from a swing bias. I don't think you should be buying on the dip, just follow the trend. Reason: this is quarter-end, US dolllar & yield rises moreCongrat @pipsbasketings/gabsonfx on your winnings, this means you will be part of the FTMO team, right? |

CopyJoe: Sell continuation across my pairs. But I decided not to trade today. Till next week. Congrats on your 1st profit from FX. More money in your bank accounts/pocketWalinco: I just started now boss..thanks so much.. Be prepared psychologically when you finally start trading because the market will deal with you so much that you will run from one system to another thinking that is the problem. This is not to discourage you but in reality this happens to many of us even experienced ones too. |

@samfelly,
I wish you best of luck. (i) I will advise that you take this challenge as fun and not to solve immediate need. (ii) Once you have attained a sustainable profit, withdraw the initial capital to reduce the pressure on you, (iii) Try make sure that your trading system on PC is same for mobile MT4 (this will mean no customized indicator) considering the type of job you are doing now.
If you should ask me, I will suggest to change the challenge to one year. All the best! |

Forexislife: I look at forex factory at most 3 times a week. News na distraction. For me, it's trade the charts only. News is very important. Take for example UK CPI coming up @ 7pm with forecast of 2.2% vs 2.3%
This is expected to come out lower and should weaken GBPUSD but rather I will look to buy the pair because it is still higher than the Bank of England 2% target which may signify a hike in interest rate. |

Skanas: In my Opinion, your Trading time frame(s) should emanate from your Strategy/Style. I analyse( I scout for OB) on W1 and D1(this is where I get my Best Buy/Sell Zones) while I pull the trigger on H4 or H1 so as to reduce my SL size....so you see, I use different TFs for different purposes because my Strategy permits me... From your comments, you are an experienced trader. Your losses are minimal I'm sure |

GabsonFX: It depends. For Risk/Money Management reasons, I set my monthly target based on the leverages I have on each account. For the account with 1:100 leverage, my monthly target is 5%. For the account with 1:400 leverage, my monthly target is around 30% ish @pipsbarketing, you are really a very patient man. So you wait for both W & D time-frame to align before pulling the trigger. A big well done to @Pipsbasketings for organising this contest and doing give away to newbies.
I did a simple analysis of what each contestant should return for the 8 weeks and only @ProsperoTrading perfectly fit into it. He had the best money management rule that is why he was able to return the $15 for the 4th trading period in record time.
With a ROI of 15% every two weeks, I expect YOU to return $178 from the initial $100 capital if you risk, say 3% for every two weeks. This is why you will noticed that @ProsperoTrading returned $188. Kudos to him.

From the 19 trades taken so far, I can say that only 6 had good risk-to-reward i.e. you were very sure
I think you guyz should be very patient and wait for the right setup to come your way. You can even make your 15% in a day and go to sleep
Goodluck to YOU! I'm sorry Pipsbasketings for giving them expose. |

@pipsbasketings,
I picked from his comment, bolded. Though still with an ere of arrogance, he has been boxed up. I will suggest two things you can do:
1. Forgive him entire for this acts and let's move on; remember to err is human, to forgive is divine 2. Report him to Seun and the moderators so that he can be censored going forward; will give details why the FTA thread still going strong
To be honest, I will pick the first, but you decide.saxy4c: I enjoy what I do, I've not been in anyone's business here in a while. You give me advice and despite the fact I do not owe you or anyone allegiance, I still listen. I really do not mean any harm to anyone and if just one trader [who was active here and gave value] says I'm the reason they left this space, then I assure the good people that my silence would be promised. It's fine, no real trader trades like me so in summery I am a demo trader and I accept that I am which I actually am. So are demo traders disallowed on this thread? Let me know what all of this is about ladies and gentlemen? |

@pipbasketin/ Blessedisthelor,
I think you have provided enough evidence for everyone here. I will wait for Saxzy to explain himself out and counter your evidence
@Shevychen2 said : "It's easy to churn out signals than to actually trade", which is absolutely true.
@Feshizzy said if you are successful in your trade, investors will find you out even if you do not publish your track records. Truly, brokers will always recommend you and call you very often. This is just like bankers pampering you when you have a very fat and healthy account with good inflows
If by Saturday 31st October, he did nothing to these allegations against himself, I will tell you what to do. |

Michealeni: GBP pairs are moving in favor of GBP but GBPAUD seems to be bearish...pls expert in here why is it like that The market sentiment is risk-on currently. AUD is seen as a risky currency, hence when it comes to GBP/AUD pair, GBP becomes risk-off and AUD becomes risk-on. Hope this helps, I am also learning too! |
