European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Liverpool F.C Fans Zone - the Mighty Reds ! by jalether(m): 12:27am On Oct 01, 2010 |
Why is Hodgson finding it difficult to replicate his Fulham performance at Liverpool considering he's better equipped with the reds
He's finding it exceedingly difficult to get the best out of his top players, . . Gerrard and Torres have been a shadow of their former selves, carragher's
form has dipped significantly and joke cole is only confirming most pundits suspicion/prediction that he's past his prime. . . . in conclusion, Liverpool, given fierce
competition by spurs and city, are shaping up to end the season outside the top 4. . . . so Liverpudlians should start getting used to playing in Europa cup for
a couple more years |

Spurs, IMHO, has sufficient quality to go the distance in this competition. . . . .with the exception of usual suspects like chelsea, barca and inter, spurs are on par with the rest of the big boys in terms of squad depth and quality. their lack of experience will be the main and obvious factor that might count against them. I actually want them to do well |

Dotman01: . . .kakuta is a fringe player and he might not be able to play perfectly for 90mins hence he's a sub, same thing applies to josh mceachran. . . . No his agility is needed, his physical presence will be a great advantage in the absence of drogba Listen to yourself How on earth is Sturridge better than josh and kakuta talent wise. alternatively, what has sturridge done to justify a place in the starting line up ahead of his main competitions? He has featured in gazillion games and I can only point to one game, community shield, as his best and only impressive performance so far Josh on the otherhand has impressed in his 2 or 3 appearances for the senior team and kakuta, eventhough had a stinker against Newcastle, has abundance of talent which sturridge could only ever dream of. |

Everything in life is relative, the fact that we now take some things for granted does not mean they are less important and shouldn't be appreciated. What we take for granted at Arsenal is what the Sheikhs at City are spending over 300m to get and are still spending. And if I may ask what may that thing be. . . .certainly nothing you have achieved in the last 5 seasons. Man city's sheiks are definitely not content with a top four finish. . . .they publicly articulated their desire to dominate the epl and Europe at all cost which loosely translates to winning the epl and uefa competitions hence the reason for their lavish spending. . . . they have higher priority and hunger to achieve success, a mentality arsene wengay, the players and some arsenal fans clearly lack these days. |

chic2pimp: Lest I say it, they've all performed quite admirably. Boateng in particular has added that much dynamism to our midfield. Barring the first match vs Casena, it has actually played well.
Ibra only gets sulky/moody when things don't go his way or when he ain't the star of the team. Since he is the focal point of the Milan attack, he doesn't really have to worry about the latter however it is the former that I am more worried about. It's either Berlusconi no get eyes for better players or he's arsene wengay aka baba ijebu's cousin . Ibra as we all know is inconsistent and Boateng is not an ac milan quality. That leaves Robinho as your only decent summer signing and given the right condition, he should form a great partnership with ronnie. I still think inter will retain the title |
