debosky: While you may have a point, you are over stating your case. The players missing for Arsenal can be deemed ‘spinal’ - Almunia, Vermaelen, Cesc and RVP.
The equivalents for Chelski would be Cech, Terry, Lampard and DD.
Given you had three out of those four available yesterday, you can’t realistically describe the team you fielded as managing with ‘fringe’ players.
Furthermore, it is clear that WITHOUT that spine it is unlikely Chelski would’ve won.
If we take the analysis a step lower, you were missing Bosingwa, Kalou and Benayoun as well. . . .those ‘could’ be equivalent to missing, Gibbs, Bendtner and Ramsey for Arsenal, so then again, in terms of personnel, Arsenal were missing a far greater compliment of their squad compared to Chelski.
The truth is that you need to be able to perform even with your ‘fringe’ players, but the ‘greater’ truth as it were is that Arsenal are without their CORE first team players too often during the course of a season.
DD, Lamps and Terry play 30+ games a season consistently. . . .you cannot say the same for Arsenal’s spine and that is a part (though not the only aspect) of the problem.
PS - DK you really need to get your brain rebooted. My comment wasn't a comparison of Arsenal vs Bayern, but an indication that you should mind your own business, be more concerned with your ailments and stop being this display of legendary buffoonery you are engaging in. reh reh reh. What happened last season when 3 of those 4 "core players" (Varmaleen, almunia and fabregas) featured. . . . you still got the beating of your life, losing by 3 solid goals and to further rubbish your claim, this trashing occurred at your own backyard. |

Van der vart is proving to be the bargain of the season. . . . some managers don't know the value of what they have until they have lost it I will be backing them to finish fourth once again even though it would be refreshing to see them break into the top three at the expense of their trophyless rival and why not. . they have got the quality and squad depth to accomplish a mission of that magnitude. |

FBS: What a barnstorming 100 miles per hour match. CRACKING! The usual stuff. . . possession game to arsenal, 3 points to Chelsea with the usual combo - Ashley- Drogba!!! How I wish we could play them every week . . . .3 pts doesn't get any easier than that. FBS: Mikel - He is improving everyday and won virtually every tackle and NEVER lost the BALL. The pass to find Ramirez was worth 500K. Good job dude.
Ramirez - oh Ramirez, full of energy and I'm sure he could run from Lagos to Abuja without getting tired but the lad loses the ball at least once in every five "battles". Against more lethal teams, it could have proved costly. However, he won a vital tackle and had a sublime pre-assist - Now, that one is worth 1M. . I don't know if it's just me but Ramires seems like an Essein clone to me. . . his performance yesterday was reminiscent of a younger Essien Mikel has been outstanding this season. . he's probably the most confident Chelsea player with the ball. His assurance and composure on the ball is peerless. I'm happy that he has proven his critics wrong and as they say, "success is the best form of revenge". kudos to him |

chrisical: Not a surprise result. We have continually carved out a strategy of beating arsenal.Let them have have the ball for much of the game, hit them on the break and utilize our chances in full. That was my prediction prior to the match and it came to pass. . . . footie is becoming too predictable these days Arsenal ending the season without a trophy and Drogba's infinite domination over them has been the story for the past 5 seasons. at this rate, bookmakers like williamhill will be forced out of business |

FBS: Thanks jalether, NL's one and only genuine leather.
Nateevs tells me you've been holding it down here and I say kudos man!!! So, by virtue of the powers conferred upon me, I award you THE CHELSEA FAN of THE MONTH!
On the issue of Bose, its good that he is back but the question is will Ivanovic be benched or revert to his natural position CB? What then happens to Alex?
More importantly, we all know Ashley is always flying on the left flank just as Bose is attack minded. Heck, we can't have the full backs exposing the defense like that. Mikel has a big job on his hands.
Predos? hahaha. . .I hate that thing!
A win is all we want. This leather na the real koko straight from Italy, no dey tear and no dey wear You are right on the bose issue, . . . Ivanovic is more disciplined and defensive minded as a result should be our first choice rb however, I have the feeling ancelotti will drop him to the bench with the return of bose as I don't see him playing ahead of Alex at CB neither. Based on his last season performance and the added security he provides at the back, I would prefer him (ivanovic) to bose but that's left to the manager to decide. Yes ooo. we have to win this match. . Drogba to get a brace and Nasri to end up with a broken jaw P.S Make Ancelotti no just start Sturridge and Ramires for this game or else yawa go gas |

THIS is why we are not moving forward.
What long term positive impact will a bag of rice have on the absolute poverty and poor standard of living that majority of the population are
subjected to. the money would have been better spent on creating more jobs and providing/improving basic amenities. . . . .talk about misplaced priority and lack
of long term focus. |

I don't support or condone atheism. However, a politician should be judged based on his political and moral merit rather than his religious belief
I will prefer an Atheist that adhere to the constitution and has the people's interest at heart over a cold hearted and greedy "believer". . , sadly, majority
of our leaders fall into the latter category. |
