How the hell can someone cut off a childs head ? |
tpia@:I did not do any seremonies, but yes, they treat me like I am a fulani. My husband fight the family for them to give me the same party an celebration as if he married a real fulani-woman, and they did that for me. It seems like they do it because I show much respect for the tribe, and their culture and ways. I love the clothes, the language, the music, the tattooes, the jewelry..and that has uch to do with them taking me in. If I was just another fat tourist-toubab who wanted to live in the hotels and only see Senegambia and did not care less for his culture, they would not have treated me the way they do. |
PAGAN 9JA:And still I talk the language, had a half-fulani kid in my belly for 9months, and have fulani-tattooes. Wopdido. Yepp, white and norwegian. Aint nothing wrong with that ![]() |
I find it strange that so many african people in here dont even recognize the fact that tattooing has been part of the african culture for many, many years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tattoo Little bit about some of the history about tattooes. In Scandinavia and Eu, tattooes are more and more common. Some do it for fashion, some for statement, some for the love of art. My husband loves my tattooes. Maybe because he is a fulani, grew up half-nomadic, and all the old women he knows, have face and chest heavily tattooed? He thinks it is beautiful, and a part of me, but at the same time, he dont want me to get TOO many. But; too many for him, and too many for me, is not the same ![]() Yes, they look down at people here with tattoos as well, and it is not for everybody. Yes, I tend do cover them slightly before a job interview or request to rent a house ( but I have never gotten a no on either.. ), because I know people might judge. I love my tattooing, and there will be more. The only thing I regret it not getting more big pieces done, instead of ceveral small ones. But that will be fixed in some years. If you do decide to get a tattoo, please: - Dont take something for fashion, or because everyone else does it - Dont go to the cheapest one, unless he also have a good rep - Do your researc, and never get a tattoo from an artist who do not use a brand new needle - Take something important for you. - Think about your future Any questions about tats? Feel free to ask.. ![]() |
Mcleo007: Btw, where can I get tatoo done in Lagos at a decent price. I want body write ups…Never go for only good price, always look at the reputation of the tattoo-artist. You risk getting infections, that the colour fade fast, not enough filling, bad lining, etc... |
musaogunnubi: we nd 2 ask ourselves few questions. where did tatoo originated 4rom? who're d calibre of pple dat started it? and what comes 2 ur mind if u see dose ppls? well tatoo began 4rom haiti &jamaica by d bad boyz (gangstas) not united states as some ppl thinks! later d american gangsta started copyin dem. dose days, if u see anyone wit tatoo, it occur 2u dat dis is one really bad guy. even uptil 2day u can find it on all america musicians but only on d bad eggs. now tell me what is gud about tatoo?Wrong. Many ethnic tribes in Africa has used tattooes for many, many years. Google it. |
stagger: Has anyone bothered to study the health implications? And that is why you should always go to a tattoo-place that have everything in order, and ALWAYS use a new needle. |
A full back-tattoo will take about 18-30 hours to complete, depending on the artist and how fast he/she is, and depending on how much pain the body can take ![]() |
~Royal~:Lol. At all of it. |
Oluesther:The northern culture of Norway. |
Idowuogbo: Who initiated d rudeness? He: Come home with me and have a coffe ( I was at the club celebrating a girls birthday, husband home with baby, it was 03:30 in the morning, going home. ) Me; No, I dont think my husband would like that. He: He dont have to know, blablabla Me; Still not going eith you, sorry mate. He; YOU A DAMN LovePeddler, I WILL TELL YOUR HUSBAND WHAT A DAMN BIATCH YOU ARE, BLABLABLABLA So, I answered back after that. |
My people, the norwegian, as mostly known for oil, and tamdadaaam; inventing the cheese-cutter ![]() We had the Vikings, we are the only EU-country who is not a member of EU. We are the most expensive country in the world, and the goverment is one of the richest. ( ..go figure. ) We are not very religious all over ( the state just got divided from the religion ), and we have many immigrants. Beautiful nature and fjords, and the Nobel Prize gets given out here. Norwegian people, specially down south in the "bigger citys", may seem cold and not interested in other people. We have different dialects and cultures spread out the country, and we have native people called samis. Meh, thats pretty much it. |
Idowuogbo: D effects of juju will take place soonest.Pfff. I dont fear this boy juju. I know how to protect myself. What you think I should do, take the rudeness AND a smack, and just walk? Naaaah.. |
Idowuogbo: I figured!I already did. Not MY man though, and he hit me first. |
ebonyfades: I am sure you jerked off when your dad used to beat your mum cos she let the gate man get some of her cookies! Dumb nicca!Say what now? My dad never beat my mum. My step-father beat my mother, though, and he was later to regret that when she payed him back. And I aint black, dude ![]() |
Oluesther: lol!!!Pfft. You dont know women from my culture; they dont fight other women in battles "on the street", they fight other men. So yes, I could beat him if I wanted to. I`m a big girl ![]() |
edakedkay: To an extent i agree with you but the bit i wont take is you saying if a woman cheats, beat her.beat her as what? Na you born am? You dey reason from your anus abi?. Na guys like you dey make me summon my "5 woman squad",all made up of my sisters,to whoop your sorry and miserable arse.@poster,what's the name of that "zoo" your friend calls her bf's house? Shei, she's the "animal" and her bf the "zoo keeper". Tell her next time tourists visits the zoo they'll be attending her funeral not sightseeing.Yes, I do mean that if you fool your spouse, and cheat behind his/her back, you deserve a few slaps. Not in-the-hospital-bed-beating, but a little beating? Yepp. |
Racists come in every form and colours. I am sorry that you had to get bullsh-it and negativity just based on the fact that you are black. I wish people could open their eyes more. In the darkness, and for the blind, there is no colour. |
Hell no. |
kandiikane: Lol@jallowbah trying to prove something. What am I trying to prove? And yes, it has..mostly because of the rastafarian religion. I always get questions about that, and if I dont smoke weed.. ( Nope, I dont. ) |
Her mother is scared that you will get her converted, wich I can understand, when they consider them self religious. I grew up in a christian home, liberal christians, I would say. My husbad grew up with a strict muslim father, who did not even allow singing inside the house, that was haram. Still, we match good. Why? We respect each others beliefs. I am not a very religious person, but I do believe there is a greater power out there, and I do believe the universe calls when asked for. He is a muslim man, but a moderate/liberal one. I know it would make his world if I converted, but I do not think that will happen. ( Never say never. ) If you both respect each other vision on religion, and you agree on how to raise your kids and deal with problems in the marriage, that is the important thing. If both of you will walk around scared that the spouse will "burn in fires of forever", it will not work. You need to sit down with her mother, and explain how you see this. How you look at their faith, how you respect it, and how you see your marriage, and raising your kids. Will you teach them the bible, the quran, or both? Go to the church, mosquq, or both? Will you marry with an imam, a priest, or at a gouverment-office? I do hope you both have really discussed these things already, and that you already have answers for all of this. If not, its time to sit down and really have a talk together. |
kandiikane: All these men here complaining because the weave is chopping their money.Pffft, I look damn good with my dreadlocks. That hair is not only for african people, even Indian people had dreadlocks for many, many centuries. But braids..nah, some white girls pull it off, other white girls look like shit. It depends on the shape of your head, and your style all together ![]() And I always wanted a afro! But I aint got no curls I have seen natural afros on white people too, but ainly red-heads. They tend to get mmore curls than blondes/brunettes.I love braides, and started fixing my girl hair up much. Beads in all kind of colours, I use patterns, I try to make it as special as possible. I love the way african people wear the weaves, its not only a damn wig. They sow, they braid it in, they fix it neatly..it took me many, many years to see if a womans hair was real or not, and still I have problem at some times ![]() Wear your hair proudly, no matter if its weaves or not! |
Tolaaaaannni: When i was young i use to secretly wish i had tribal marks because my mom had it, and i still do. There is something about tribal marks that make someone look nice, i know people might disagree with this but thats what i think. Then why not do it? |
PAGAN 9JA:Many fulanis tattoo tribal-marks, honey. And so did I. The fulani-way. |
Oluesther: Why should you beat up a woman just because she cheated on you? Don't men cheat? Will you also appreciate it if you were beaten because you cheated?I already answer the same question. Yes, I would beat up my husband if he cheated. And yes, he is welcome to do the same to me. Other than that? No. |
GboyegaD: So you support a man beating a woman? Then the day he wakes up to beat you because he is suspecting you of cheating or he dreamt you cheated on him in his dream, please do not blame him. BTW, there is no reason whatsoever why a man should beat a woman.Pfft. If I am stu-pid enough to cheat on my husband, I hope he beats me. And I should not have to explain that this is if the cheater tell it him/herself, og if they get caught red-handed. NO "I think you cheating, I`ma kill you!" And if my husband is stu-pid enough to cheat on me, yes, I will beat him. |
