Dear landed seniors, I'm a silent reader and follower. May I know if it's possible to leave my money in my Nigeria account because I'm about to land and yet to get dollars as it's scarce and the BDC guys keep hiking the exchange rate. 1. How can I access my money when I eventually land. 2. Does anyone need naira and will give me Canadian dollars on landing. 3. Has anyone travelled without Dollars and accessed the money. 4. Does GTB MasterCard work in Canada. 5. If there's anyone with dollars that wants to sell at a good rate kindly send me a email. |

@ Crowndit: I saw u pmed me but didn't know how to reach you, so basically my husband got his Indian PCC from Indian embassy in Abuja February this year, ensure you persuade the security official at the gate, they might be the one who turned you back. Try give them some change to pacify them so you can enter. The Indian official issuing the PCC is a cool person his name is H S Bisht; Assistant Consular Officer. The PCC cost about 13k which you will pay in cash once inside the building. Make sure ur fiancee goes with all her certificate issued in India and it's photocopies. Also, go with the passport that shows the Indian visa. I wish you luck. 3 Likes |

MsLee: Hello MsLEE: you can get Indian PCC from the embassy at Abuja, that is where they can get it done for you. However, its not immediately issued, so if you want to travel to Abuja prepare for a trip of 3-5days. Wishing Goodluck... 1 Like |

Hello everyone, its a shame people dont read up when they want to start this Canadian process... this is for people that are contacting David Cohen Law firms, i did state my experience with them in the previous pages i think 523 or SO. If you have paid half of the fees please terminate the contract, and if you are thinking of using them look for my previous post by searching. A word is enough for the wise.. You can do it.. successfully by yourself.... take time read up and gather information.. Information is Power.. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Dear Family, I just want to drop a few points to encourage someone this hour especially people with IELTS scores that didn't come out as expected. So i started this journey since Aug 2015..i rushed to do IELTS Without much practice and i scored: LSRW: 7.5,6,8,7 and i hired David Cohen Law Firm paid 2000 USD but nowhere was i advised that my score is bad and i need to retake the IELTS. I figured that out on a thread like this that was closed. So Practically, i read the previous thread and have been reading this thread since it started from Page 0. Dont be in a hurry, every step is a major step: Practice, pray and Plan, and Read.... I Retook the exam in April 2016, when i figured out the CRS draw kept going higher: Behold: it was the hardest test i ever came across this was after so many practice sessions on Youtube, my hubby scaled thru because he listens to rap music... the listening was terrible..so i understand if the exam is tough..the result was: LSRW: 7.5,7.5,7.5,6.5.... it was a terrible try i must say coupled with the fact that i was heavily pregnant. I eventually lost the baby at delivery in May and i was devastated and numb for weeks... But Guess what i bought a book in church: JOYCE Meyer: NEVER GIVE UP...That book quickened the fire within me in this terrible times and i made up my mind to re-write IELTS exam, my hubby felt it was the wrongest time to write an exam because of the situation surrounding but my spirit man was lit and on fire..I paid for another IELTS AND Practiced, rehearsed, like my life depended on it..Prayed like my life was going to end..JESUS Did it: AUG 2016 Result: LSRW: 9,7,7.5,7...My score went up to 465.. but the subsequent draws were high.. I kept faith alive...till Jan 4 when i saw dat the draw came down and i didn't get an ITA after contacting DAVID COhen law firm they said my profile expired a day before and my contract had expired that the contract was for a year, remember i contacted them in July 2015 because a family friend relocated his whole family to Canada some years back and advised me they were the best and anytime i plan to take such a step i should contact them. I was furious sent a mail to the whole high ranking officials in the firm and how they were joking with my relocation plan.. apparently we were not on the same page .. They decided to give me a waiver to renew my profile in the POOL... Jan 11th draw i got ITA.. They informed me..and said they will collect 1500USD to assist in compiling my documents and submit my application to avoid mis-representation. I had already had enough of the firm and their shit.. so i told them i wont be continuing my application with them. With the help of this amazing thread i was armed with information to submit a successful application.. which i did with my spouse.. We keep reading...Never GIVE UP.. Guys..see you all in Canada.. 41 Likes 2 Shares |

cookies: Dear Cookies: I got my UK police clearance last month so i understand your question. For proof of current address: You can use your bank statement, be very sure your bank statement carries your current address if not go to the bank with your Nepa bill, and International passport and change your address to a current one. I made use of two bank statements e.g: GTB, WEMA Bank.. So if you have accounts with two different banks e.g: Zenith, Fbn: Then go there and request for a month bank statement that is sufficient to proof your current address. I tried the Network provider route it was totally a wasted effort. Besides if you have a good relationship with your doctor he can write a letter for for you as well, showing your address and all other information requested. Regarding delivery: its best you have an address in the UK, SO that once it lands there you can tell them to scan and send you a copy. in my case my aunty sent me the delivered copy few weeks later through a church member coming from London. 2 Likes |

boldinc:Thanks Boldnic..we have crossed the checklist stage now successfully. Pls house i have more questions : 1. Employment Records shows in multiples but i have a work reference letter that shows the two different positions i have held at a particular company, will i upload this work reference letter twice or do i have to go meet my supervisor to split the reference letter into two so each will show a particular job function. 2. Educational section to upload: do i have to scan my MSC, Bsc and Waec certificates together as a single file or do i leave the Waec certificate out, should i also include my transcripts or should i leave it out as it wasn't requested for by IRCC. |

@ Hally, Esosa, Vcole and optionese.... Thanks for all your response. I have successfully linked my application. May I ask that in the checklist under personal history : personal activity: Activity type what should I fill.1. Since my hubby got back from his masters degree in India 3years ago he has been hustling himself, Therefore he's self employed But there is no option of self employed there. Should we click Unemployed will it raise a red flag even though am the principal applicant. 2. Besides will I include educational activities since i had my masters Degree Within the 10 years requested. Thank you all for making this platform educative and instructive. |

Hello Everyone: May i ask if anybody has linked an application before on CIC portal. As am faced with linking to my old application which i used in getting ITA, because David Cohen law firm was handling my application up till receiving ITA. But because i want to submit my applications and not use them as representative, they suggest i create another account and link to the old application which has been quite difficult to accomplish. if anyone here has linked to a previous application before kindly put me through on what to do. OR: Used a lawyer/ agent and choose not to continue with them after ITA, Pls ur contribution will be appreciated. |

Goodmorning amazing family, i have been an ardent silent follower of this thread since it began. However, the good news is i just received ITA, though i had already hired an attorney in Canada, before i discovered this thread and found out the application can be done by self here and a lot have been successful. May i request for guide in submitting my documents to CIC by myself as the attorney is requesting for more payment which am not ready to. would like to interact with people who just got ITA and compiling documents to submit as well. kindly assist all you successful candidates who are already in canada on what step to take as i will be withdrawing the services of my attorney. will be reading for responses. |
