I'm sure list will come out before opening of camp, logically obvious. Also, like how many days interver between the releasement of the list and camp opening. Anybody can answer

They should have done that by now, it's part of background check.. u shud ask ur family or neighbors or refrees anybodi u put in the documentation form those are the folks dey will likely contact. I think all dat is done sef right now all DATs left is camp list and camp date to the selected few.

Did any of your family member or your neigbour was contacted? I know they do background checks but most of the checks you won't even know or hear anything about it.

Which training ground are u talking about? Each Cadres has it own training ground in each selected city. Someone even posted that here sometimes ago. I don't think what u said is logically correct

1: who has any idea about dia supporting/admin staffs recruitment process, do they even advertise d positions?
2: how tough is d physical drilling in camp, at least if there will b any sort... A while ago somebody list camp requirements but didn't include shorts.
3: Pls short sentences, summarize d camp life/activities.
4: what is the flexibility of a dss officer or A. S. O.
5: how good is their salary and all d bonuses. Or u can specify d range!

I can only answer no 3, the camp is lively. The feeding is a top notch, very classical that's why its costly too trained a DSS officer. The budget for the training use to be high, the pay and the feeding are good. They don't share meats or fish like police do. They don't manage, they make the training conducive for the trainee. Finally, its more of intelligent training though some physical

DSS has been like this for many years, this is how it started some years back when I also applied for DSS and having done my documentation wit them, the delay took effect as you guys is still waiting till another exercise was announced...
my advice for you guys to gentle rush and grab prison, Road safety and fire service form or find another thing and start doing.... as for DSS, they are confuse

it depends on what you want to do, they can only support you to procure ancillary equipment. ancillary equipment like chairs, Air condition, generator, furniture etc but not building and the likes

I observed that 90% of those contacted me just want to start up their business.
BOI supports start up businesses but start up businesses are very difficult to push through BOI. Here are the reasons;
1. Every lenders wants a return on their money and also want to reduce the risk to the bearest minimum. Risk associated with start up business is very high
2. Lack of experience which can lead to poor management of the loan.
3. Inadequate market knowledge. You can't just be producing when there are no adequate demands for your products, is not a guess work, you must have demand from prospective customers. BOI wants to be sure that there are demands for the products. In fact BOI likes Demand to be more than supply.
4. Debt to equity ratio must be satisfactory. You must be able to contribute to the project. I:e if you want 100 from BOI you must be able to provide 30 additional by yourself. At least you will pay processing fee.(appraisal, commitment and legal).
5. Security
What can a someone just going into a business provide as a security to cover his loan by at least twice? Though there are external guarantors option for loan below 10m but you will still have to pay 10% of the loan as a security deposit in a BOI micro finance Bank which the borrower and the BOI will be the signatory of the acct. When you default on interest for some months, BOI will deduct from the money deposited and if you don't default after you have successfully paid the principal and the interest you can withdraw the money with interest.
