Built2last: Churchill Umoren writes
From what i gathered from the state department here in the US, the Niger Delta Avengers was serious about killing Buhari. It is instructive to note that the NDA had always done what they promised. No bluffs. they give the military notice of blowing oil installations, and it has been serial. Learnt the US govt with d benefit of Intel, advised the Presidency to cancel, because even if Buhari escaped, there would have been collateral damage. Also, The Avengers have cells scattered around Ogoniland run by foot soldiers. Said a source " To attack during the visit was very imminent, they operate as guerillas, so his DSS, and soldiers would have been blind sided. To harm the Nigerian President in such environment would have been easy because the soldiers have no clue, not well equipped for such, and his secret service are not trained in counter terrorism, like the FBI and US Secret Service who protect the US President. the Nigeria President is viewed as "enemy of state" in the Delta, to them he is persona non grata" Who warned him not to go to Lagos? Who warned him not to go to Calabar? Who warned him not to go to Senegal? |

Former President Goodluck Jonathan visited the Presidential Villa where he held a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday night, The Trent can exclusively report.
According to an authoritative source, Jonathan and Buhari had a private conversation in the presidential villa at about 9pm on June 2, 2016. The same day that the president backed out of his trip to Ogoni in Rivers state to flag off the clean up of the land devastated by years of oil exploration and spills.
The meeting was cordial and the matters discussed by the two leaders was not disclosed, even to aides of President Buhari.
The former president returned from Cote D’Ivoire on Wednesday evening after spending two months travelling around the word in connection with work for his foundation, The Goodluck Jonathan Foundation.
He immediately went to his hometown in Otuoke in Bayelsa State and left Bayelsa for Abuja on Thursday evening.
Jonathan’s return to Nigeria follows rumours of him being on self exile in Cote D’Ivoire. The former president had refuted the story of his exile to The Trent.
Close friends and associates of the former president were surprised to see him in Abuja on Friday morning as they were expecting him to come in later on Friday, a close source told our reporter. http://www.thetrentonline.com/jonathan-buhari-private-meeting/

Politics › Re: How Buhari Averted Disaster In Ogoni Land! by jamesibor: 12:18pm On Jun 03, 2016 |
tallfish145: If Buhari visits Ogoniland today and an attempt is made on his life, two things are bound to happen and both leads to only one end. One is to take him out using snipers or whatever and then what? The army will wipe the entire Southeast and South South off the surface of the earth. The army, Air force, Navy and all other security forces will be given a 'shoot at sight order' to keep shelling the entire region until nothing moves again, yes, nothing. The other is to make an attempt on his life and he escapes the assassination plot; either ways, the security agents will still kill everyone and everything. So, who wins? No matter how it plays out, the northerners will immediately commence #ethnicCleansing against the #Millions of southerners in the North and the Southerners will also annihilate the #Few northerners in the South and a full scale war that is worse than the #Biafra cum #bokoHaram war will begin. Every ethnic group will take up arm against the other and continue to kill one another till the whole country is littered with corpses. Then the international community will wade into the crisis in the name of quelling the fight and take our oil and lands away from us. Then another round of #Colonialization will begin in full gear and the few ones that are lucky to be alive will become slaves to the West. Biafra is lost and One Nigeria is also lost. So, who wins? Then 60 years from now, one of the few lucky survivors of the war will author a book with the title: 'There was a country' or 'Buhari's visit to Ogoniland: The beginning of the end of Nigeria'; or something like that. Again, who wins? But after a deep thought, I told myself that Buhari was right to cancel his visit and take the #Shame that comes with it. He has clearly demonstrated a rare statesmanship that is worthy of emulation. The Buhari that I know is not worried about his life; he fought in the Biafra war 49 years ago. He is a war General who has seen death on several occasions. He is only concerned about the millions of life that will be wasted because of him as well as the aftermath effect of such bloody situation on the over 170million lives of fellow Nigerians. Thank you baba for saving our lives. You have just earned yourself the title of 'The father of a new Nigeria! Shame on you #Wailers! God bless President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR! @op, yes o and he also averted disaster in Lagos, Calabar and today in Senegal. Good man he is. |

When a society imports everything, how can people be productive hence they turn to crime like the Avengers.
Let's import everything just to show we have the money to buy anything from anywhere.
Your type hardly understand the workability of a normal society. I don't blame you sha... You are d ignorant one here. Tell me what the UK and US bans from imports? |

Tomorrow will tell.. Investors are still in Iraq, Lybia etc drilling oil. As long as the oil is there, there won't be shortage of investors, so don't cry more than the bereaved. Bombing these infrastructures is criminality though. |

Do you know you can have money without seeing food to buy, will you eat your money?
Common tomatoes being scxare and you guys are crying like babies... Continue forming commando maybe you'll drink crude oil. Tomato is scarce because there is a ban on the importation of tomatoes. Let d govt remove d restriction and let's see if our markets are not flooded with cheap tomatoes. If you have your money, you can import any food you want bro. |

thomasthomas: Okay, I hope you won't blame President Buhari when you lose your job or you siblings, uncles, parents, friends start losing their jobs. You won't expect the conmpanies to operate when their facilities are blown up.
Continue cheering them, I'm not crying, I'm self sufficient. Let them destroy their farmlands, soon the north will stop giving them food let's see how they farm on an oil spilled land.
Continue... WTF are you guys on about North giving them food? Someone goes to the market to buy food stuffs with his money and you say the seller is giving him food? If the seller won't sell to me, I buy from other sources. My money is more important to the seller than his food is to me. Let the North feed its hordes of almajiris first. |
