davidzfarm18: @Grownaira: Thanks a million. By LA. I believe you mean Laxota. E S T contains sulphur and pple say it's not good for laying birds. Opinion welcomed pls
dont use any drug that has sulphur. its like removing the birds womb(lol).
You can send/take some birds to jos for testing.i heard there are some labs there.

davidzfarm18: AkayTopsy: I'm having similar issue with my birds (Respiratory) No Lab in abuja. I have tried Conflox, tylodox, Anitilan, Eucament Plus,Ciprovet. Pls what drug solved the problem for you.
omotititi: @Jamp....I will advice those that want battery cages to buy good quality cages. All these locally made will disappoint in the long run. I will rather buy 2-3 cages monthly till I get what I want than spend money on local cages.
What happened to your cages? i bought locally fabricated cages since 2013 and they are still in very good condition....please share with s your experience so that we can all learn.
Thank you sir.
The cages are still ok but some parts are rusting and some nuts are weak. The cages can not last up to 10yrs without maintenance. Also you will not get good return incase there is urgent need to raise cash .
shiningme: You can continue trying but would never get an answer. The addition of three odd numbers can never give you an even number just in the manner that ,- x -x- = -, three minus signs multiplied can never give a +.

shiningme: It has no answer. No need to disturb people, except you wanna change the base from base 10. For example using base five, 5+5+5=30., using base three, 3+3+3=30.
Are u sure it has no answer. I have tried dis severally and decided to bring it here
Eggcelent: jamp. OK. Thanks for your response. I was just thinking about it earlier today & concluded that it might be an idea worth trying since Starter Mash contains higher M.E & C.P than the Growers Mash. Consequently, birds feeding on the former should gain more weight than those being fed Growers. The only question I haven't answered is the possible impact of the feeds on the birds' digestive system.
Yea starter mash contains high M.E & C.P but its mainly for building of reproductive organs and other sensitive organs. At 14wks most of the organs are formed already. The question that needs answer is does SM increases body weight. If yes then one can use from 0-16wks.
Like you said Its worth trying. I will experiment that once my 8wks batch reach 13wks.
What do you have to say about their weight? Do u think they can lay at 24wks?
Eggcelent: jamp. You once thought of giving some stunted 14 weeks old pullet starter mash. Did you eventually go ahead with it? If yes, for how long & what was the result?
I didnt do it again cos some people adviced I placed them on multivitamin an feed them well. Someone said its not wise to give a short 3yr old boy breast milk.
My vet doctor wast happy that I didnt try it but I will try it with my 7wks birds when they are 12-14 wks.
I weighed some today the weights range is 0.8-1.11kg. They are about 20 in number n 17wks 3 days today.
AkayTopsy: @Jamp welcome back, I believe ur mum must be very proud of u within her, seeing u helpin d oldman. .
As per d birds nice job on farm. Nice to know u have several batches. I need to come around urside with my lecture note again for some schooling.
@obnelly how r ur birds now? hope u've started treatment and they r responding? pls share with d house d medication they r taking for future reference.
Bro I want to visit ur farm dis period but dis fuel scarcity in abj is too much. Pls give me a day to come from now to thursday.
Eggcelent: jamp. The weights of your birds is testimony that your staff have done a great job during your absence. Welcome Bro. endy247. Are your birds on deep litter? If yes, kindly take note of what davidzfarm18 suggested in addition to that of FarmTech. You may also wish to spray ashes in sufficient quantity on the litter. Success.
Thanks brother. I appreciate. I want to allow the birds to get to 20weeks before adding light. I hope they will lay early.
Eggcelent: jamp. It has been awhile since you last made a contribution here. Hope you are good.
my oga thanks for the care.i took my leave and travelled with my family to my vila and the network there is bad (lol). U are doing great keeping the forum alive. I miss u guys an ur wonderful contributions. Am on my way to d farm to see how things are going. Wil report situation when am back.
While in the vila I helped my dad with little farm work but my mum was angry that I didnt look her side.....
tucurj: @eggcelent,yes i know.its just that i thougth of giving them eds vaccine b4 but now i cant aford it,a friend of mine told me that komarov can be given @ 8wks n 16wks or @16wks n 32wks just that @32wks it will affect production but will later increase than b4.that is y am asking d house what is there take on the issue,is it advisable?
injecting laying birds will affect production. I had the experience last year when I injected the birds @ almost the same age.production droped and we lost some birds. Since then I ve been using lasota.
NB. This is my own opinion n experience. Others may ve a different view.
davies427: @eggcelent will do dat this morning. We used tylodox, it did nt work. We even just completed dose of colestine a week back. Same thing. But like u said. Will take dem to the lab this morning. N give u a feed back. Thanks n God bless. Any suggestion is also welcome
in that case go for test in a lab maybe the bitds ve devrloped strong resistant to antibiotics like eggcelent said
