egg can stay up to 2wks. in this hot season try n sell ur eggs as soon as possible or krep it in a cool place.

@pet01 I changed to animal care sometime ago and the production dropped drastically. but when I went back to top feed d production rose again. I dont want to try animal care again, I want cheaper feed and same quality with top feed. am thinking of supreme feed.

Fellow farmers. The cost of getting commercial feed is going up. Can u imagin that top feed layers goes for 2500-2600. This is not good for us in abj considering d fact that jos people are selling cheaper than us.

I want to change to a cheaper feed else I will end up working for people.

bros not meee, its oga fnk. what he faced is not different from what we see in coporate enviroments. in oil companies,banks,breweries etc people steal even with the high salary and other incentives

I still here ooo, just trying to get things going, has not been easy. especially my workers stealing over 230 bags of feed from the farm and over 200 grown 2kg and above birds. It is crazy.

the demand for big eggs is high. i dont know how jos farmers are doing it. they arer flooding abuja with big and cheap eggs. we will keep forging ahead till we get there

toskilo: Hi, had similar issue with their boilers. Lost 172 out of 500 birds in the first one week. I spoke with one of their vets who recommended doxygen. When I told him later that they were sneezing, he told me to get tylosin and not tylodox. I later told him I could not get tylosin as a brand name, he told me to get an antibiotics that had only tylosin without any other composition. I saw tylodox in my hunt and saw it contains oxytetracycline. Before I could get it the birds had stopped sneezing and dying. The doxygen had taken care of it. About a week and some days later we recorded mortality without them being sick and was told to repeat cocci and antibiotics every 2 weeks. You may wish to talk to your vet for her opinion. Good luck.

i have heard stories about their product. they need to improve else they will lose customers. most of the problem we farmers have is from hatchery. like the saying goes GOOD START GOOD FINISH.

Where do u buy the yams from?

i buy in Abuja. there are villages where you can get them. i once got a big land for 5k to plant yam but i couldnt farm the whole area due to shortage of funds. so i have decided to go into storage by buying from the villagers in the bush.

there is glut here in Abuja. Jos farmers are flooding the market with cheap eggs.

about the vets in Abuja. we dont have good vets, like Huru said, if your birds are sick they will keep suggesting different kinds of antibiotics to you. i must confess there are few i mean few good ones available.
