Someone would have thought that private universities will increase the standard of education in Nigeria. But they are lowering the standards.

Those who failed jamb and failed to get admitted to federal and state universities are the ones in private universities.

I cant pay almost a million per session for 4 years and then still stand on the unemployment line with someone who paid 200k in a federal university.

If you are not getting your education from federal or state universities, you are wasting your time and money.

Must every graduate seek employment, where is the place of Job creation and entrepreneurship that most private universities advocate.

Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global
Community Church in Lagos, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Tuesday, warned that there could be 10,000 Sunday Igboho if killers and kidnappers were not brought to book.
A Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, well known as Sunday Igboho, had vowed to flush killer herdsmen from Yorubaland.
Bakare said he had spoken with Sunday Igboho.

The cleric spoke in an Instagram Live Chat with a famous journalist, Dele Momodu, monitored byThe PUNCH.

Igboho had issued a seven-day notice to quit to herdsmen accused of sundry crimes in Ibarapa and enforced the same. There have been reprisals since the incident.

Bakare said, "Immediately, Sunday Igboho gave that ultimatum, I knew there was trouble if nothing was done immediately. And he carried out what he said he would carry out.

The outgoing Inspector -General of Police , Mohammed Adamu , has reportedly handed over to Deputy Inspector General of Police , Operations, DIG Sanusi Lemu, as the most senior police officer .

Adamu who attained the statutory retirement age on Monday was said to have asked Lemu to oversee the administration of the Nigeria Police Force pending the appointment of a new IG by the President .

The IG came to the office briefly earlier today to transfer the authority to Lemu .
A source said, “ The IG has not officially handed over power to DIG Lemu ; he merely asked him to take over as the most senior DIG pending directives from the Presidential Villa. Adamu is still nursing the hope that he may get tenure extension. ”

Lemu was appointed the DIG Operations last November following the retirement of DIG Abdulmajid Ali.

He holds a BA ( Ed ) in Political Science and has attended several professional courses including : Intermediate Command Course, Senior Command Course, Peacekeeping Training Course.

He is a member of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies , Kuru, Jos .
The Niger State -born cop has held many Command positions including the Commissioner of Police , Kaduna and Bauchi Police Commands .

Until his promotion as DIG , he was the Assistant Inspector- General of Police in- charge of Zonal Headquarters ( Zone -12 ) , Bauchi .

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have taken in the Vice Chancellor, Federal University Gusau, Prof. Magaji Garba, for questioning over an alleged N260 million contract scam.

News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that a competent source at the anti-graft agency disclosed the arrest on Monday.

The university administrator was still being held at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja as at the time of filling this report.

The source said that the accused, sometime in 2018 fraudulently obtained the sum of N260 million from a contractor, Shehu Sambo, to facilitate a contract.
