Hello Everyone
There isnt enough infirmation on studying and relocating to New Zealand. I guess the distance is too far for some and New zealand is probably not in the first top 3 of major study route. Anyways i would like it if aspiring students who wish to study in New Zealand or students already there can contribute to this group and finding answers to questions like
1)HOW DO I APPLY TO UNIVERSITIES IN NEW ZEALAND
2)WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO STUDY A BSC,MSC AND PGD OR EVEN VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN NEW ZEALAND
3)IMMIGRATING TO NEW ZEALAND WITH DEPENDEDNTS
4)LIFE IN NEW ZEALAND

Suggestions and opinions are all welcome

Says who @bolded, there isn't just enough buzz about it, a number of people intending to school there have contacted me for a statement of purpose.

1) The number one way of applying is by narrowing down a number of schools you wish to apply to, it is presumed that these institutions have your desired course, send an email to their respective admissions offices.

2) Requirements may vary from school to school, so it is best you send a mail to the school's admission office.
For example: To pursue a Bachelor's degree at Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand, you will be needing an advanced national technical certificate at a recognised tertiary institution; or an advanced national commercial certificate at a recognised tertiary institution; or West African General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level. A minimum of three A-Level subjects, with at least a ā€˜Cā€™ grade or higher.

IELTS: 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher.

3) Variable factors will determine the mode of immigration.

4) New Zealand ranks high on the quality of life index, it is very safe, weather is highly unpredictable but you will definitely cope as a Nigerian, the landscape is mind-blowing etc.

Here are some other schools you can apply to in New Zealand:

University of Auckland
Lincoln University
Victoria University of Wellington.

Cheers wink, do not forget to send a mail for a unique statement of purpose cool

It will be in the best interest of your general well-being not to attempt to go to Uganda by road.

Do you know any unvaccinated persons that have travelled to kenya in the last 2 months? What was the experience like? Did they insist on having the Covid-19 vaccine certificate or not? What are the general entry requirements?

I asked several people and even some travel agencies if unvaccinated people are allowed into Kenya and I got very conflicting responses. 50% of the people I asked said unvaccinated persons are allowed. While the remaining 50% said unvaccinated persons are not allowed. So, I'm trying to find out from actual recent travelers of what truely obtains when travelling to Kenya.

Any response would be welcome

It is safer to get vaccinated.
Travel / Re: Not All Countries Are Suitable For Migration As A Nigerian by JapaProfessor: 6:46pm On May 11, 2022
Here are some factors to consider before migrating as a Nigerian:

1} Language barrier: If you intend migrating to a country where English is not widely spoken, you will do well to start learning the everyday language of communication in your chosen country.

2) Your skill: Never cross the border if you do not possess an in demand skill that can earn you a living in your proposed destination.

3) Legal migration: Migrating legally eases more than half of the problem you will encounter in a new country.

4) Lifestyle Comparison: While you might be tempted to relocate to Mozambique because your friend who has been in Mozambique appears to run a successful business, you need to know the success you see didn't happen overnight. A person who has been doing business in a country for over a decade will likely be able boast of a certain level of success and a relatively comfortable lifestyle. Do not measure the worth in days or in weeks else you will be frustrated when you eventually make the move, examine the long-term factor.

Albania
Major Language: Albanian
Not a member of the EU
Not a part of the Schengen zone.

If your friend had sent a mail requesting for a session, the overall reply will be a big NO.

CeceTravels:
HELP! My student visa was denied again:This was the cry of a friend who reached out to me on facebook.

This friend of mine has applied for a study visa to Canada before, but her visa was denied for reasons she is unaware of. I had previously advised her to learn the reasons for her refusal and to understand the steps required in obtaining a visa before applying for a second time, but she claimed she had it under control until she informed me that her visa had been refused yet again

Studying in Canada is a great experience but Knowing how to apply for a student visa can be overwhelming especially if you have no prior experience. I'll be mentioning few factors you should consider when applying for a student visa.

Gathering your documentation is one of the most important things to do when applying for a student visa and it is done by;
1)Receiving an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution(DLI): To apply for a student visa to Canada, you must first get an acceptance letter from the school that will be hosting you.

2)Provide proof of your ability to pay for tuition and housing: This shows that you have the financial means for paying your tuition and living expenses in Canada before enrolling. This should contain proof of student loans from a bank or bank statement from the last 4-6 months, or a letter from the sponsoring person or school, depending on which one you'll be applying.

3)Have a valid international passport: According to the Canadian High Commission, you must have a passport valid for the duration of your intended stay in Canada.

4)Present a letter of explanation as to why you're studying in Canada:You must explain why you are studying in Canada, list the course you plan to take, and demonstrate that you will return to your home country once you have completed your studies (this is vital). If you are unable to write a convincing statement of purpose, seek guidance from an expert.

5)Prepare 2 passport-size pictures to include with your application: This should be recent pictures of you. All of your facial expressions in the images should be neutral, and you should be facing forward against a plain background.

At this point, I'm going to stop. This isn't all tho; there are still a lot of factors to consider but I can't go into it now.

If your visa has previously been denied, don't be too hard on yourself; there's obviously something you're not doing correctly. You must discover the reasons for the visa officer's refusal; this is important; do not be like my friend, who failed to exercise adequate caution

This is your statement of purpose and it is very important. Do not hesitate to send a mail to get the best.
Travel / Re: The Reality About Kazakhstan And Warning To Nigerians by JapaProfessor: 10:14pm On May 10, 2022
Before settling for a country, you need to be sure it is a country that will accommodate your skill set, suitable for your personality and equally reliable for your long-term goal.

The fact that your friend was successful in Kazakhstan or South Korea isn't a guarantee that you will replicate the same level of success.

AntiTroll:

This is a good idea. If one person should go first, then I would guess it's the man first right? But through which route? Education? What about the cost considering the amount the man has?

Job route? What if the man's current job or past experience isn't in the occupation shortage list?

I'm just saying this based on ealier UK suggestions and from what I've read... Maybe other locations are easier but I don't know and that's why I'll appreciate more insight from you.

Thank you for your guidance

Since you mentioned your friend is in his mid-30s, he should try applying for a Master's degree in South Africa.

Depending on the class of his degree and work experience, he can consider applying for scholarship to schools in the US.

If your friend's major reason for relocating is to have access to basic amenities while working or learning a skill, then his budget will take him far in many other African countries before he takes a giant leap to Europe or North America. Pro: He will be able to move with his family.

Southern American countries like Colombia, Chile should not be overruled, they contain inherent opportunities as well.

Not advisable. It is majorly designed for tourists but if you have a degree related to hospitality and tourism, you may want to give it a shot by applying for a diploma program in culinary related skills.

What do you say about the cost of living in Rwanda, do you find it expensive or average compared to Nigeria?
