Mr Acunon or anyone in the house,how do I make my tv sound come out of my home theater.I mean when watching TV,I want the sound to come from my home theater speakers.
My home theater has HDMI out,digital audio in, Auxiliary in headphone jack.
While my tv has video,audio in,HDMI,vga, digital audio in etc.
I bought a cable with two heads(red and black) on one side and headphone jack head on the other side,I try to connect it but didn't work.

Oga your TV should have an "Audio out" port which you should use an AV wire to connect to "Audio in" port of your home theater .

I will still advise you to augument the gen with the inverter of say 1.4kva which is around 250k for 2 batteries, you will still have savings on fuel, just that your inverter will not carry you fridge. If you run your gen for six hours pls six hours from phcn, your inverter will carry you all night or on demand.

Bear one thing in mind, if you plan to upscale the number of batteries in future, then the inverter has to be of higher capacity. Just search online shops like jumia to get idea of costs.

You will need around 650k to get an inverter that can power your fridge and other household electronics plus fans for at least 12hours on full charge.
You will need 4 200VA batteries at the least,each costing over 100k, plus a 3.5 kvainverter itself.
Mind you, you need at least 8 hours power to fully charge up that power bank.
So,I tell you, its a vicious circle if you cannot boost of at least 12hours public power daily.
Its a shame,this country is still talking about power failure despite the deceptive promises of Fashola and APC.

[ That's too high above my budget. I can't even boast of 7hrs power with the exorbitant bill I pay. I wil have to manage the gen. thanks bro!

Alright, but you still can not make use of Inverter on a long run without PHCN, if you can get an inverter try to add Solar to it later.

Your question is funny, you can not use an inverter without PHCN except you want to add Solar to it.

If you really have the money, then the Gen is okay but the amount you would use to fuel it for 2weeks would pay your PHCN bill of a month, if you then want to go totally independent i would advise solar power, though it is expensive.

Thanks for your contribution, I don't mean to do away with PHCN I only need a Gen or inverter because of the power shortage. I cook and stock up my fridge for at least two weeks. but lately PHCN made most of my food sour because of power shortage. I need to keep my fridge cool to avoid spoilage that was why i asked. I can charge with PHCN whenever power is available, solar is expensive.

A small fridge consumes around 120watts on a continous operation, if you add a 30 watts small fan, 1 energy saving bulb and a laptop, the batteries will still take you for 5hrs.

However, a 1.2kva inverter may not have surge capacity required to handle the initial power consumption of fridge wen you just put it on. I will suggest you try it though

100k can only get you a 1.2kva inverter with 100ah deep cycle battery. Although that can power you for for 5hrs on full charge provided that you reduce your load to 200watts max.

Generator will be more expensive over time due to maintenance cost and fueling.

Verdict, go for an inverter and increase ur battery overtime.
