OAM4J:There is nothing to address . . . I only told her the fact as I know it. I knew she opened that thread because of me and it turned against her, with everybody bashing her. And to validate my claim in that message to her, this thread she opened has also turned against her, with the torrents of responses she's receiving here. But for those who care to know her problem with me, this is the cause: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-202498.0.html Since this 2008 thread she has continued to attack me everywhere, even after apologizing to her through email exchanges. But I always ignore her. |
I think it's a bold step by The Punch, especially after that Steve Ayorinde's expose on Azu did them a great damage. I wonder why these guys failed to learn from the recent Azu-gate. |
How can somebody idolize Kanu in a country filled with soccer legends?
Very possible. Kanu is a household name in Brazil, simply because of what he did to them in 1996.A Nigerian journalist once wrote about how he went to Brazil on journalism assignment, and everybody kept asking about Kanu, on knowing he was a Nigerian everywhere he visited. Ghanaians will never forget Suarez. |
How will somebody beat his fiancee. Unthinkable to me. I don't think I can ever beat a lady, fiancee or wife. The only female I imagine myself ever beating are my younger sisters. |
This contest still appears dicey and very unpredictable(provided there is free and fair election). When is Ribadu coming out now? |
tpiah:you're better ignored. . . as i hav always done anyone still wondering why you're the most disliked nairalander of all time |
Oh boi, I dont know how I can help u again o. You lodged that complaint then, and I told you the thread was in page 3. You didnt check and update for it to go back to First page. Now you made me to waste efforts to search for it again and found it in page 14. https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/board-20.832.html#top It is clearly visible to me and I didnt see any 'spambot' mark to suggest it's not gonna be visible to normal users. I attend to a lot of issues everyday, and as human I can forget. Until you reminded me now, I had even forgotten I had sorted it out before. I mentioned spambot because that's the commonest cause of genuine threads disappearing, especially if it doesn't contain obscene picture or extremely baseless allegations. oga, pls i'm tired of all these stories. If you say I hate you, so be it. |
tpiah:You only first openly vented out something I had known you to harbour since at least 2 years ago, especially after that my 'Deepzone Vs Tpia' thread in 2008, which, if I had known your type of person, I would not have started in the first place. I'm even surprised you did not include 'religious bigotry' as that is another problem I know you have about me, which is very clear to me, but I prefer to ignore. I am a proud Yoruba guy but I try to be detribalized as much as I can. I have defended Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa, where need be, in the past. As a mod, I have sent warning PMs to erring forumers from all tribes - those that posted offensive posts about Ibo and Yoruba and, less commonly these days, Hausa. I have deleted posts from those Ibo and Yoruba tribal warriors. Stemming the tide of tribalism is part of my agenda here and beyond Nairaland and I will not be dissuaded by petty accusations, and if in the course of doing that, the table is turned on me, I will bear it. |
Please, can people that post duplicate articles be banned for a long time?Posting duplicate articles by same person is an offence that may attract ban, lenght of which the banning authorities will decide, and I'm not one. But if due to failure to search before starting a topic results in thread duplication, all I need to is to lock the thread, and warn the person, and if persistent, may be punished. And you can help me by naming names, especially for the particular poster. Thanks |
tpiah:Do I live in another planet? Or who doesn't know tribalism is the stubbornest cankerworm here? Or as active contributor and later Mod, I will not know what's happening here? Why not come out straight and call me a tribalist, instead of this 'wondering', beating about the bush ![]() |
Hmmnn agba ti de o . . I actually like Twenty-something ages, simply because you are still seen as a small boy, especially if still single, but when you cross that line, some things will no longer be pardonable. And I'm two years away from reaching that line now. Time to be a lil more serious, really. I can be very playful. That's the major reflection point. |
oya, cut your piece My tribalist frenemies are also invited ![]()

Thanks everybody for teh birthday wishes . . .no worry, after fasting ![]() Oga Ajanlekoko, you've started junketing again Buy Chocolate for your bois o ![]() |
ON JONATHAN: 2011: Alamieyesigha heads Jonathan's Campaign team Jonathan can contest 2011 - PDP Are we pro-Jonathan too? Ribadu and Atiku also have their topics on front page. Homepage is all about sensational issues and IBB is a sensational issue now. That's all. |
Fasting with no prayers_starving urself.wow . . u don become Islamic 'scholaress' o . . . . ![]() Many born-Muslims don't even know that |
Thanks all, Imela Nagode Ese modupe Jazakumullahu khaeran I no dey see my tribalist friends here today, wetin happen nao . . . one don even give me birthday gift here: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-501959.0.html ![]() |
TJust hearing about the Minna gifts now. Na wa o. Mbulela, I'm now left with no other option than to accept your accusation that I place too much trust on Nigerian columnists, especially with Azu and Abati-gates. |
Seen and replied to. Rushed there only to realize it's just another jejune ranting of a confused tribalist. |
First and foremost, pls Xavier, I don't appreciate the manner you called my attention to this thread, especially saying my character is badly smeared. Upon getting your tip,I ran to search for the thread, only to see that it's just another inane thread by an unrepentant tribalist, for whom simple, primary school explanations have failed to benefit in the past. I only believe your special interest in his allegations is borne out of your infrequency here, as people that know Seanets and his co-travellers in peurile posts will not take him seriously. 1,A mod doesn't have the right to edit somebody's post. We can only delete outright or edit title. We can't delete post. Of what benefit is it to murder grammar by changing those words as accused, when I'm a strong advocate of good English myself? I'm surprised you believe that. If his English language skills desert him while making a post, why should he put the blame on me when he sees his wrong post later? 2,This IBB accusation is getting serious and I won't take it lightly next time, because I have expended much time explaining things to these folks that thrive on wrong accusation. What concerns me with IBB? Has he ever seen me praise IBB before? I am for Ribadu, but I will not use my NL position to promote him, neither will I make the section a hell for IBB fans or whoever supports anybody. Everybody is entitled to his opinion. The simple fact guys, especially Seanets and his ilk, don't know is that the IBB internet merceneries are here and doing serious PR job for him. Ditto for Bukola Saraki, Lagos PDP, and other smart politicians out there. Instead of the anti-IBB guys to give it back to them with massive anti-IBB campaigns, they resort to fighting the mod for their woes. Go and up your game, I will not fight IBB for you, other than my own personal, passing comments. If the IBB guys here are having upper hands here, it is not for me to stop them for you. Go up your debating and political skills. I can't help u. 3, I have explained to you time and again that the Awo thread was caught by anti-spam bot that sometimes erroneously catch long or copy and paste posts, even if genuine. My own personal posts are also not immune from spambots. But being a mod, I can see it and you can't. I remember taking your complaint the other day but I'm not I remember to ask Seun to reinstate it. Will check. It will surely be released by Seun soon. Its spambot at work. Xavier, so where is the serious character damage here? Even without taking my time to explain like this I' sure almost 90% of frequent posters here will not take what he said seriously. I thought it was one big issue when u alerted me in the other thread. All the same, thanks sha. NB:Poster, pls make use of complaint thread to vent your grievance next time. |
Posting from phone, so couldn't open the link. Which section is the thread? |
I'm humbled by the avalanche of well-wishes here and in other places. Too bad the day co-incided with an unavoidable programme that kept me offline for the whole day. Read thru all your comments and wondered whether I truly deserve this. My simple prayer is that God almighty reward u in manifolds. Yeap, it fell into Ramadan and plan was to have a swell break of fast with family and friends, with office colleagues having their share earlier in the day, but the unpredictable vagaries of life just didn't allow that to happen. So everything will now take place tomorrow. I'm gonna PM the first ten posters and send them a token recharge card as my appreciation. For those not in Naija, they are free to nominate anoda person. Ese modupe, Nagode, jazakumullahu khaeran, eniyan l'aaso ibora mi. |

The guy would definitely do well as a Nigerian journalist. That industry is full of retards.
