Can you please advise, users posting news articles from newspaper to always make a comment on the news article they have posted, to set a direction for the debate. this is meant to be a discussion forum not a newspaper
it would be helpful if they indicate the part of the news they find worthy of discussing

Politics › Re: Seun Is A Disgrace To The Nigeria Youths For Supporting Ibb by Jarus(m): 12:13pm On Aug 20, 2010
This coming from Hollandis, I'm disappointed.
A forum is meant to accomodate every shade of opinions - the reasonable, the outright foolish, the in-between, the funny, the jejune, the genius etc
If somebody comes here and campaigns for IBB, he will be welcome, as will be for any other person.
I'm pro-Ribadu, as is my co-Mod, Aisha2, I don't know Seun's inclination but I doubt he's for IBB. Even if he supports IBB, he's entitled to that.

IBB's presidential bid is perhaps the hottest political topic in town, and homepage is about hot topics.

On NL, we'll continue to accomodate all shades of opinion without bias.

If you had been civil in your titling, like IS SEUN SUPPORTING IBB?, then I could have left the thread open for discussion, but with such an insultive caption and post, I can't help locking this thread.

I'm actually not guaranteeing a faultless performance from Ribadu, but of all the candidates being bandied around, he is by miles the best to me. I will register, vote and campaign for him.

@ current topic,
The only subordinate I have is a female,  and we relate even on unofficial level. I boss over her jokingly, like asking her to give me '10 reasons why I should not sack her for spending more time on break', as if I can sack grin. She knows I'm joking. I have even introduced her to NL, although she was an inactive member before joining our company, but I restrict her coming to NL and browsing in general.  She's very hardworking and meticulous, and I doubt if I can get that from a guy. Now, we relate beyond official level to the extent some colleagues are already asking whether we had known one another pre-here. I personally like a relaxed office environment, with joking, discussing politics, etc by the way. So I relate with everybody formally and informally and I'm enjoying it.

Over all, I prefer having ladies work with me, especially as subordinate. As peer, I prefer them too. As boss, well the only direct female oga I have had was in my former company and she was a great woman, but I can't generalize.

@Krendo,
I have actually gone past replying to petty issues like that, but for those who may your post seriously, I can afford to waste my time to reply.
I support Ribadu, not because he's a Muslim, but simply because I admire his patriotic zeal. In 1999, even though I haven't reach voting age,I supported Falae, a southern Christian. In 2003 & 2007, I siddon look because I didn't believe in the system. With a little hope from the current INEC, I decided to vote for the first time, and incidentally one of the few Nigerians I admire is contesting. And FYI, Buhari appears more Muslim that Ribadu but he doesn't have my support.

Nothing wrong in criticizing a leader but having a screaming curse as title or thread subject is my problem with that thread.
Like the thread in question, this thread too is destined for the bin as soon as I put on my system.
And you risk ban.

For the first time in my life, I'm going to vote because of Ribadu. Not only that, will actively campaign and mobilize for him within my own little capacity.
