zuchyblink: why are u making it an igbo vs Nigeria affair? Ur post is the joke of the year. Go and ask people of NE what they are undergoing for putting their investments in one basket. If it gets hard in North America;igbos in Asia will strive;if it gets hard in SE;igbos in SW will strive;if it gets hard in NC;Igbos in SS will strive. For the facts that our innvestment cuts across the globe is an advantage and not a disadvantage. am not making this igbo vs Nigeria. I tried to counter your quotes with reality. They say, reality awakens a proud man. Your investments in Lagos has brought about a high value of properties and assets in Lagos, increased tax returns, development, higher federal allocation based on population, increased return for investments, increased jobs and success prospects etc. Am not making this sound sarcastic, but bringing reality to your doorstep. If every Easterner who owns a car bought IVM, u will be amazed at the transformation in the east. If every Easterner purchased suits made in Anambra and not China, if every Easterner built those schools and estates they built in Lagos in the east...... Don't seek ways to curse or condemn but be upbuilding. My simple advice is "look inward". There's more to do in the east than import. |

asorocker: The decline of the oil industry is going to be worse on the states of Lagos and kano.
Lagos because an analysis of the igr of Lagos shows that Lagos derived it's revenue from the income tax and the income tax bulk is from the oil workers whose offices are in Lagos. The oil and gas component of the Lagos igr is more than 40% of the igr. Income tax paid by high earning oil and gas industry executive who gross average of N5m monthly has helped Lagos
Secondly kano will be the worst hit as the only state whose take home is equivalent to the take home of niger delta states with their 13% derivative.
Kano doesn't have the human capital to generate income tax.
Third state /city is Abuja. It is said that Abuja was built with oil money, where would the money to sustain and maintain Abuja come from if not the same money from niger delta.
Some states like kwara, benue, adamawa can easily with agriculture fight the downturn of their economy, how would sokoto, yobe, jigawa whose populace don't farm and whose land is far from economic centres for export of agricultural products survive.
The next in line are the hausa cities of katsina, batching, kaduna who benefitted from the lopsided federal allocations. Now that the oil wealth is going and there is no human capital we hope they will not turn to insurgency as a means of raising attention and revenue.
The states that would enjoy and be kings in the new dispensation.
Anambra, Nigeria's brain box and commercial hub will have its non oil economy growth unequalled and unrivaled. Anambra survived with no oil allocation managed the little it had and built an enabling environment for investments.
Akwa Ibom, this state was blessed with resources and good managers who used it very well to grow infrastructure and are currently working on a sea port.
Abia this state hosts aba, Nigeria's city of enterprise and football, aba is living beyond oil already. very biased analysis. when I was 10, I was told my grandpa sold his goods in the Onitsha market. I visited back in 2009 and when I compared pictures of Onitsha in the 70ies to images I saw, I wept. Onitsha could have been China of Nigeria, rather China is imported to Onitsha. You called it a brainbox? What i saw was a box, then where is the brain? A federal university situated in Awka could have sprung development, but no. No tourist will spend his cash to visit Anambra. Investors are mainly indigenous people, and their manufacturing factories and head offices are in Lagos or China. So where is the brain? The market has no roads, no roofs nor standard built shops. What I saw was cubicles and litters all over the places. Don't cry for ND. Cry for yourself. ND has rubber which was one of our major exports, the oil will be in much need till the world ends, they have agriculture, they are on the coastline, they got fishing and a sea port. Way ahead of Anambra state. ND doesn't survive on oil, instead the oil pollutes their survival. The money don't get to the people, they hustle their way. Ever asked where the supplies Onitsha brings from China go? Before u cough, try dredging your river and try some development. Money to sustain Abuja? You did ask that? Is a capital and need I say more? Don't cry for Lagos, cos u depend on it to survive. Cry for yourself. Don't cry for kano, and other northern states cos before the oil, the north was lucrative. They hold your belly. They are very commercial in their crafts. My sorry is fory Igbo brothers who have built their empires away from home. Your investments have enriched others and raped your sustenance in the east. If u can't see it, then hear it |

If you can tell us what scale of hierarchy you stand on, we will understand you better. Solomon says, "all is vanity". How do you classify hierarchy in vanity? What's your definition of poverty? So long as one has comfort and peace, he's rich. " poor people " never said those words, the Bible did. Ecclesiastes 3:19 explains it all. And don't go thinking you are better than animals not talk of your fellow. In the end, all is vanity. HungerBAD: Pastor getting powers from an herbalist?
Wife blowing his secret out?
This indeed is an interesting story. So it is safe to assume, the woman has lost a husband, and it is safe to say the Pastor has not only lost his Job as a Pastor, but his wife too. I still wonder what transpired between this husband and wife?did he threaten her with divorce?was he doing other "females" in the Church?or was she arrested by the "Holy Ghost"? questions and questions.
Lessons to be learned here, by men who blab all their secrets to their wives/girlfriends, just learn how to shut up, even if the food and sex is good.
Now, back to this Pastor. I am always amazed when i hear there are actual men, who make a living using the Lord's name. I am not even Born Again, but the name of God scares me silly, and that is why i am always puzzled when i see people using his name for gains.
It had to come an ending anyway(life as a fake pastor), like everything in life usually does. But, i am assuming anybody that can master nearly all the Verses and Chapters in the Bible, and can preach very well, shows a degree of intelligence.
So, why can't this fake pastors use their intelligence for something meaningful? like, really!! how lame are you? Ppl like you have no shame at all. You sud praise the woman for speaking out. I corroborate, though the part of steaming your heat on Timaya is digressional. It was the choice/fault of the officer to drive the car. Timaya, I believe, doesn't even know the law or understand how degrading that pic was. He, as we all know, is barbarous and might have felt a pic of a police officer as his chauffeur would stir a notion of class or glitz amongst his audience/mates/fans However, I understand the annoyance boiling in u from that previous thread. Is shameful seeing our men in uniform begging, with appearance like they don't belong to any organization. I marvel at what Nigerian police breeds!!! Men with heavily dirty teeth, deep red eyes, very low IQ, looking so unkept with saliva gleeking out of their alcohol smelling mouths. Very aggressive and animal-like behavioral exhibitions. My last experience with them was an eye-scorcher. I saw how they dealt with an Okada rider with guns and batons over 500 naira while others watched. Gory!!! On the overall, the pic of the sokoto first lady's porter police is disgraceful and I wish the authority could put a ban to it. Who knows, she might read comments here on NAIRALAND Acidosis: Moral corruption is about to kill this country. We lack work ethics, moral values and human values in this part of the world.
Its not about the "Nigerian Police" as most people want us to believe. Some private Security firm workers actually take more bribe than NPF. Our Banks, Private organisations are cases in points. Its only in Nigeria we see security men beg people for money. Its a common practice and we shouldn't institutionalize it. Instead, we need to address the CURSE upon UNIFORM MEN/WOMEN, including those standing at ATM joints, fast food, event centres, banks, etc.
The other day, a well dressed NPF guy was seeing driving a Niger Delta Rastafarian-Charlatan called TIMAYA.
Are we going to say the NPF guy is poorly paid? Is the problem about minimum wage? NOPE!
The higher we are paid as a people, the dumber we become! Just imagine the yeast-like swollen puff-puff called Timaya acting like the world must revolve around him ALL because of SMALL CHANGE.

And funny enough, listeners prefer the secular music more. I accepted your previous comment in good faith, but this one shows that you have a spirit called enviousness against secular artists. Your comment is stereotypical. E.g everyone can agree with me that My brother, Tuface, if included in your list of secular artists, is way humble compared to the lists of Gospel artists I know. Antagonising the audience for their choice of music is judgemental. I don't c why gospel music sud be sold. If you are singing for God, then y sell it to humans? Thats why people are not buying it, cos your gospel songs are produced to compete with secular music n not to praise God. |

Divorce is guaranteed on the basis of adultery, my brother. I don't think she is blind enough not to have read that portion of the Bible. She has concrete evidence and she isn't ashamed to proclaim her liberty. If you search deeper so many truths will come out. She has chosen to save the face of her children and just let out some air, that wise ppl would understand. Dont be biased, she isn't stupid to file for divorce. God gave her the right to free from a marriage that became a bondage. She's right. She was the darling to you all some years ago, not u despise her. She didn't nothing wrong by my stand. And the court that granted the divorce might know something you don't. So don't judge her, she is in her own right. Living4christ: The bible says that if any woman (widow) lives in pleasure, she is dead while she lives, 1 Timothy 5:6. According to her comment, she stated that "God freed her from bondage", she is of course referring to marriage, will God ever want a christian marriage to be broken? With children for that matter. Looking at the case study she filed the divorce - that is not a christian attitude, even though her husband cheats on her,, looking at what she had said, she is comfortable without any remorse and probably even loath her ex-husband, that is not a good christian attitude, her comment is not far from what speaking as a feminist.
I Corinthians 7:10-11 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
Let her be reconciled to her husband. But for them, they are not following the word of God, even though they might be known around the world. God told the church in sardis in the book of Rev. 3:1, that they have a name that they live but they are dead, so for me they are not living a christ like life, they should return to Christ.
A pastor that cannot keep his family is not qualify to pastor a church - 1 Timothy 3:1-5

And you even said you are sinful [but not as 'sinful' to fornicate]. So your sinful nature now has a measure? Please throw more light. firstly, I was born of sin, but growing up to learn about my God opened my eyes in many ways. Fornication is a serious sin, bro. 1 Corinthians 6:18 explains that every other sin is committed outside the body, but fornication. It goes a long way to shedding the light that you desire. Our body is the temple in which God actuates, now when we pollute it with sin of that nature, that sins against our own body, where then can God reside? The reason for the argument on fornication is because it is the subject of the thread. I didn't pick it out, I am only standing up against it. My take is, the OP went on analysing the benefits of fornication. Is appalling, knowing that he could be a Christian or a Muslim. Where the hell did our conscience go? Ppl call it testing, how cheap have we reduced ourselves before God. I've met many men on a quest to taste women from all countries. Isnt that an adventure of death by your Christian conscience? Can you summarize you write up, pls? craziebone: of course, at the time of quoting you, you will get 33 likes; and that only confirms there are about 33 stupid people in this thread!
First of all, the op never said sex guarantee anything. He never made a statement remotely close to that. So, instead of reading your warped preconcieved world view in an innocent and some-what beautiful write up, why don't you just get off your popish attitude and stop being a hypocrite and a bad influence!
And who told you "holding on" saves bulllshit? I just graduated from the University and you think people who 'held on' actually liked what they did? I have a friend who, all through our university days, did not have a single girlfriend not to talk of being sexually active and he confessed to me that he didn't like it. He echoed what i have experienced myself when he said that parents and religious 'holy-holy' people like your pathetic self do tell us to abstain and never to keep lovers in school and they give reasons like: "you will not concentrate in school". But he told me (and i have experienced it myself too) that that is actually not true; and that he even feels distracted that he is trying to keep by the rules. Studying was a problem for him.
You likes should stop scaring people about what is in itself, not wrong. By the time you tell your daughter or son that they should never have sex before they get married and you try to paint a picture that students who are sexual active arre not serious students, you think that child of yours will never go to school and find out that the opposite is actually the case? And when he finds that out, don't you think that that stark revelation is going to cause a needless crisis of faith and culture in him? Don't you think that that crisis of faith and culture is what will undoubtedly unsettle such a child hence a poor performance in exams? No wonder my friend and i felt distracted even when we were forming chaste!
Finally, what in this world brought in Black people into this discussion? Don't white people have a liberal view about relationships? Sarah Pailin, a christian republican hypocrite like yourself preaches this same thing you are preaching, but her daughter of just 17 gave birth to a baby and she is talking about having another baby already! I will not be surprised if all your children make you a grandad before you are 40! It is the likes of you, like Sarah Pailin, that breeds such children the most, hypocrite!
If Obama's daughters (liberal democrats) gave birth to a baby before 17, the likes of you and your partner in hypocricy, Sarah Pailin, would have pointed accusing fingers at the Obama girls as evidence of black ghetto lifestyle.
Just get off here already, your proselytism isn't welcome here! |

Sorry, I could not read the entire encyclopedia, but I can happily announce to you that we must not agree at a point. The beauty in all of this is sharing viewpoints and that's period. We are all entitled to our reasonings and beliefs. But, one point to note, saying kitten doesn't define anyone. Is only an English word that you find in the English dictionary and it is also taught in schools (just incase you missed that part of education). Don't be naive, I never said I was a saint and let me tell you one thing, no man alive is a saint (Romans 3:23). You cannot commonize sin and then making ppl see the advantages of it, it's heretic. I only told you my firm belief. Take it or leave it craziebone: when i called you hypocrite in the first post, yo think i was lying! I wonder why you, who is claiming to b pope and assistant chineke, cam utter the word punnani! Don't you see the hypocrisy already?
And what on earth made you think everyone is a christian, or that everyone who is christian subscribes to that which you are saying or believe? Why don't you just open your mind and see the diversity we all have in this world already! What made your idea about sex and sexuality an absolute truth? Infact, i see sexism and misogyny in your post. You mentioned your daughers only, but what about your sons? This is another classic case of oppressing female sexuality!
Our body being the temple of God? Again, when exactly did we all make that pledge to 'God'? And why must any christian and anyone for that matter understand that scripture the way you understand it? I wonder why that scripture doesn't spring up anytime you commit other sins like lieing, extorting money from worshipers in form of tithe and offerings. Why must it always be mentioned anytime premarital sex in the topic? And whatmakes you think that just because sex is in marriage, you are not defiling the 'temple of God'? What about when sex is offered by one partner out of 'obligation' and not true and genuine desire to share something with ones partner?
Why don't you just show it to us already why people have to have money before they have sex? Why don't you just show it to us, fool! |
