td2tnkstr:I'm sure you're Yoruba. Cus if you aren't, you won't post these pictures of other tribes. Plus there's nothing to prove that the pictures are actually of the captioned tribes. If u didn't have better pictures, why create a thread to start with? Petty things like these breed contempt. |
Ngokafor:Lol, exactly my point |
The pictures look scripted. IMHO The first two igbo pictures are not igbo. I have never seen any igbo with more than 4 tribal marks talk less of the whole face like the second old lady. Second observation: Yoruba pictures look screened / recent compared to other tribes. Third observation, that monstrous side view picture of the Fulani is very hard to prove its Fulani. It may be a northern or even southern tribe but not Fulani. Nigerian Fulani are of Arab descent which gives that that mixed look. They have soft looking hair and are not really known for plaiting these styles unlike the kinky dirty looking hair there ....... |
Afam4eva:All igbo names are sentences. My name can be as short as 4letters or as long as 23 letters when my mum is calling me on a good day/occasion. An igbo name without a complete meaning is not a name. I've heard of : Ndi'irom naegbuala'chimnaekpochise and Enedalamaduanyamakaechidimkpa ![]() |
Opentokwowledge:Nma though I am aware that most names could have several suffixes |
Being someone with a very popular native name, I've been searching for unique and meaningful names for my kids and came across some very lovely names and thought I should share. NB: All igbo native names are unisex 1. Zioranachimdi 2. Zioranachimuanya 3. Zimchikachim 4. Yagazienkeoma 5. Kamsiriochi 6. Kamsirionna 7. Olaedochiziri 8. Nkechizitere 9. Omaka 10. Dota'aku 11. Chikayma 12. Merayanma 13. Raaluyachi 14. Oyolimanwa 15. Oyolimachim 16. Chinaeletam 17. Olueze 18. Daberechi 19. Danyenma 20. Dachinso 21. Iosonma / yosonma 22. Chimamanda 23. Ginikachi 24. Olanma 25. Nwaka'aku Before you copy any name, ping me for my account details. Feel free to add your own #Igboamaka |
IamLaura:Nothing shameful here......... It's the honest truth. Everyone on this forum will attest that before opening this thread they knew the op was igbo including you. Why won't I be ashamed ? If the Igbos owned lagos, do you think lagos will be what it is today ? A big no and let me tell you why. The moment the capital waas moved to Abuja, Igbos will rush to move their families and investments to the "capital" |
Ppl like you just make me wish I were yoruba or another sensible tribe. Another person's village is now town, while your ancestral home is village. How many of those ppl advising you to build in their village has a mud house in your own village ? Or your family aren't worth your first house well, in the end, it's your life your biz. |
RationalTV:In Ojukwu's voice: Ndigbo ndi nzuzu, kwenu.............. Ndigbo ndi isi kpuru nuo nu.......... Ndigbo odozi ala ndi ozo kwezuo nu oooooo *drops mike and walks out of the thread* |
My husband, I've come to understand that children are just visitors in our marriage. In the beginning , it was just the two of us, in the end, it will be just two of us. |
A stubborn lady will be stubborn irrespective of the age difference. Age aside, observe her, do you see stubbornness in her? If yes, know she is a stubborn woman. You can either deal with it or waka |
sisisioge:Lol I really hope you're joking |

@funkyibodude @donTbone @Michellla @STFUareyouGod @pinkbarbie @Nubian113 @Strawberrycream What is osu? Osus are people who were: 1. banished, sent into exile or cursed for an abominable deed committed by them or their parents. Deeds as grave as incest, incuring the wrath of the local deities through intentional or unintentional acts which in turn triggers a curse on the entire village and the likes. 2. People who are dedicated to serve the village Idols either by choice or force. Their entire lineage can't mix with others. These types often enjoy wealth and beauty from the deity they serve as long as they serve it and face tough battles if they stop. 3. Osus are sometimes people suspected or known to be possesed by powerful spirits capable of bringing ill fortune on the village or those around them and as such are bansished to live in the evil forest with other spirits. Failing to steer from osus in the past have triggered rows of death, curse or ill-fortune in the family or entire clan of the offenders. Support is needed from as many people as you can. LOVE IS NOT ENOUGH!!! If love is enough, why do couples break in as little as 1week. Why do ppl date scores of men whom they all loved at a point? My advice: if she can bear being cut off from family and friends and bear whatever spiritual implications follows those families then she should go ahead. If she wants to stop, she should xplain to her family that she is ready to do as they wish but she is already pregnant for the man then follow whatever they decide. She will not die if she doesnt marry the man. He's just one man. |
henribj:We never graduate in the institute of marriage so yes, I'm still learning. |
hmmmmm some of your points are contradicting sha. e.g no 38 & 95 |
@op, why are you blowing out these precious secrets ? Anyway, im my own boss now but these. I faithfully practiced all these and more back in the days. It works o! |
Work on your finances first. Be careful about the punishment you dish out, it can very easily turn against you. Get a life, work yourself into shape, hang out and tell him squarely that you decided to go sightseeing with someone else cus he's ignoring you. But! Don't try to pretend you are blatantly cheating. Just convey the message that you need attention and there are plenty pal willing to give it if he doesn't want to. |
She should simply move out for his siblings to dominate. WTH! Beat a sick woman? From another point of view: Didn't she know he was a wife batterer before she married him? There must have been tell tale signs of violence. Why did she close her eyes to them? Or, did she tie him down with pregnancy or cheapen herself before marriage? Ive seen brute men stammer before their wives and their wives only. Its about how you cheapen or honour yourself to him |
Orisirisi o Today, guys are making long lists on do's and dont's for women. Be faithful, loyal, submissive etc. Those who are naturally romantically stubborn are now going through hell trying to change so that they can find a good hubby. Meanwhile there are men who will love them the way they are. Moral lesson: Your flaws are someone's aphrodisiac don't change for anyone. The one who will love u the way u re is on the way |
StOla:Better still, get a Financial manager. They are everywhere, they tie your hands when it comes to reckless giving. No loose cash to throw away. At the end of the year, you have properties and you have money you never knew u could save. Let me explain how it works: You find one, explain to them how you want to save your money, you let them know how much you currently earn, your expenses and your goals. You either hand over your income to them or sign an agreement on how much you must save every month. Failure to do that, will attract punishment. They will also help you plan a budget and cut loose spending, as your savings get to the stipulated amount, if you agreed to buy a house for e,g, you all will go and get a house that falls within your budget. They will manage it, and the income. You will hold your papers etc, they give statement of accounts every month. Individuals normally charge 10% of everything you saved while corporate bodies charge 20% Charges vary sha |

StOla:My bro it is well..... All these are stories, d bible says that strong men keeps riches, you aren't strong willed, you will be poor? For how long will you keep being the beast of burden to others? One easy way is to get someone who is principled and get them to go to that person to seek approval before you give. Dont you have children? Dont you want to leave a legacy for them? Giving all you have is out-rightly WRONG!!! Promising your future pay check is purely STUPID!!! Sorry if I sound rude but I am angry reading this. Another way too is to get the money, put it in an escrow acct or with someone you trust, come rain, come sunshine, the money isn't coming out till you provide a legitimate need you own. Listen to yourself, Giving 500k, yet you have a debt of 200k. My father was like you, a real father xmas, ppl used to wake us up from sleep with unending stories that touch the heart, now he's late but do you know that when he died, the only thing we received was a mockery loaf of bread. Our house became as quiet as a graveyard, nobody comes anymore, they didn't even attend his funeral, they said he was a secret sinner, and God has punished him cus his money couldn't have been pure. I can keep telling you stories. You need to think of yourself first. Go and keep your cars somewhere safe for 3months, move your family to your wive's parents place, put a quit notice on your door and call them to help you out with house rent and see how fast they'll leave you. I better stop here |
jaybee3:will do that |
