Thank you for your reply. I did not know about the receipt. And I had it done yesterday.

Reach out to your contact, ask for the receipt, they'd back date it for you. Go with the document so the names really match.

Good morning. Hope we all had pleasant night rests. I have a question please. For those who have used gift deeds, did you draft your letter and and take it to the notary or the notary did the typing?

Also is the deed done on regular A4 or on a letter head paper?

Thank you

You have the information you want to tell CIC, you can get a format by searching here on this thread, that's what I did. The major thing is the opening and closing information, the body is just yours. What you'd be paying them for is the typing.

What I did, got the relevant information, who to address it to, the heading and who to sign amongst other info. Searched and got this info here, you can look for my post. Go to the court and sign it, get a notary too but do ensure to get an official receipt from the court cos you have to upload that as well.
Negotiate well with the guys who will assist you to take in for signing, roughly 2,000.

Hope I did answer your question well enough.

Hello Guys,

Congratulations to the past and current recipients of (P)PR.

I do really imagine the great number of talents, skills, people etc, leaving this country for a better life.

It's well with Nigeria. My only plea is try not to forget your motherland. Keep this nairaland family tight, this unity we've shown here, take it outside this forum. A new Nigeria is coming, I see it and I do believe in it.

I still await My (P)PR. I'm staying positive too.

I celebrate with you all, as I'm expectant y'all will also celebrate with me.

Have a great evening people.

Sire,

Hard to say really. I can't categorically tell you one is better...I don't wana say one thing and then my... lipsrsealed

On a more serious note, none is easier or more difficult to do. If you are however referring to the processing times, the timelines of people i have seen on other fora shows it appears faster if you add her just after PPR. Adding her before PPR and after AOR seems to delay the process more than adding her just after PPR (the ones I have seen added within max of two weeks after getting PPR). But then again, several factors can cause variances in processing times from case to case depending BG checks carried out on your spouse. Please note I am not saying this authoritatively but based on my observations of timelines of people in similar situations.

Cheers

So worse case scenario for her getting it before/after PR is how many months?

Congrats on your PPR! You may find some of the answers below useful. All the best.

Planning on getting married before moving...

So is it easier to add wifey after getting my PPR than waiting till after PR, That's after completing the whole process. . .?

In plain English, should I wait till I get my PR or before I get PR to add wifey?

Hope my question is clear enough... Phew.

Hello All,

Found this resource on this site and thought i should share, I hope this helps calm the nerves of those in the Waiting Room. . .

https://www.myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-e-apr-tracker-express-entry-permanent-residency-application/analytics

It might not be accurate but sure gives a predictable timeline for possible scenarios.

Enjoy. . . .

No. There is eligibility hurdle and background checks - The background checks involves confirming your assertions and also includes criminal and security checks.

Thanks @Boss13.

Can you give an estimated timeline? I know it differs for individuals. But I'm guessing from what I've seen, that medicals is usually the one with the longest waiting time, am I right?

My people abeg make sombori respond na.

For your first question:
Bank statement is fine but you'd also need to explain why you didn't provide the letter as requested by CIC. Even if you do get the bank letter, the content might not be exactly what CIC requested for, thus you also explaining in your LOE.

My advice:
Try getting the letter from the bank, it shows you tried complying with CIC's request, but if you don't get it or the letter doesn't reflect what is requested, you mention it in your LOE as well.

For the second question:
It doesn't hurt to prove beyond reasonable doubt the source of your funds. This will give your VO the impression you've got nothing to worry about.

My advice:
Get whatever document you need to prove the source of your funds to avoid any issues.

Hello house,

Here is my scenario, for each section I uploaded all the documents related to it. Like for POF, I merged the bank statement, bank letter, gift deed etc as a document and uploaded.

Looking at some posts here and other sites, some mentioned they merged these documents with their LOE.

Which is preferred or more effective?

I know there's no one way to do this, but your thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.

I'm sure you already know the answer to your question (read your responses to Elfman on page 428). What CIC requires is what is stated on CIC's website, you only use 6 months statement if you're unable to get the letter from the bank that states the average balance over 6 months. As for your money spiking up to 3m in one month, you should be able to explain it to CIC using a LOE.

Just some misguided thoughts making me second guess my decision. Don't want to make a mistake. Trying to get as accurate as I can get.

Thanks for your response. @40manlappy

For the LOE, I know there's no particular format, I'm planning to use sections for each required upload. Is this approach advisable?

Guys,

For the POF, which is better, the requested financial profile or six months statement?

Bear in mind, the account balance hasn't been up to a million. It spiked up to about three million in one month. Is there a way to go about it?

No you don't. You just get it through the post at the uk address you've provided. I recall the wait time was 10 working days +/- 2 days.

Gotten it. Thanks

Will explaining every attachment make my application look weak? Cos I only have a little challenge with POF which I have a good deed for as supporting document.
Which is preferred, the specified cic letter or 6 months bank statement?

It depends on the option you go for, the normal 8 to 10 days processing time which is 45 pounds or the 2 days processing option for 80 pounds, shipping within the UK should take 2 to 3 days after it has been sent to Royal Mail. For the regular one, they usually complete the processing within 5 days, except there is a problem with the application.

It's the regular one I opted for. Do you get an email notification when it's been processed or despatched?

Hey guys,

Concerning UK Police certificate,
Please how long did it take to get it, using a UK address?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Java47: 1:28am On May 21, 2017
Currently waiting for my police certificate for UK.
Thinking of my LOE for POF.

1. Not printed my POF, cos I want the cash to stay a while, at least a month before I print my bank statement.
Is this safe?

2. After completing the form, can someone else login and make the payment for me?

Online money laundering service. grin

Anyways, this is what I'm thinking of doing, I made sure the highest about was not more than 200k and also didn't do round figures, make it 198250 you can say they deducted tax or anything. But in all I'm not allowing the balance get below the required amount needed.

But in reality IRCC wants bank certificate not statement of acct. So in this case, manage the acct and let d bank write the letter as specified. Unless IRCC later demands an update wrt statement of acct. Don't shoot ur foot by yourself. Mbok!

I'm Not a banker but from what it's on CIC site it says balance of account over six months, doesn't this mean statement of account, i.e. transaction details: credits and debits? Or just a letter stating the balance with other info required?

Please, is the 300k a single transaction? if yes, you might need to get an explanation for it. I remember in one of those discussions, we were deliberating on how much is termed 'large sum' and one of the seniors advised that anything from 1,500 CAD must be accounted for. Just his personal opinion tho.

I hope this help

The highest transaction is what I reflected in the gift deed, the other huge amount is from my other account. Which can be proven with bank statement, all other payments were broken to the maximum of 200k. One from a company account, the other from personal account. Others below 200k. I've got a registered company with cac certificate I intend to attach what doo you think?

Bro, I know I'm new here but I think we all need to chill on this gift deed matter. I am a member on Canadavisa forum and I have been through over 400 pages on Reasons for Rejection, not once was the gift deed mentioned as a reason for rejection.

If the person that brought it up can provide evidence, then we can start worrying but till then let us just calm down. A lot of people got their PPR using the gift deed and people are still using it.

I will advice that we get all our gift deeds notarize. It could like 2K or 3K. And try to provide evidence of the transfer into your account.
Thank you.

I have all the forms used for the transfer scanned, and will attach them too with the gift deed.

Quick question, people owing me also paid me, and was also paid for some other personal jobs i did (website development etc), but no receipt for them as it was via transfer from personal accounts and one from a company account. How can i handle this? The tune of this is actually below 300k. . .

I'm exploring all the options i can use. Thanks.

Just write a letter of explanation explaining what your relation does and attach a gift deed. they could also write using his letterhead to CIC. you could also attach their bank statements.

At the moment the person isn't around. And getting the bank statement and letter really won't be possible. Isn't the gift deed sufficient with the LOE? cos now I'm worried.

Interesting! they were refused even with gift deeds. Was the money in their account or did they use a fixed deposit account?

This ain't funny y'all. Gift Deed is supposed to assist with that na. I'm waiting for it to be almost month so I can apply. The funds came in less than two weeks, the account hasn't gotten much credit above 100k+ for about three months and the maximum it ever got is about 900k. Now I got 1.6m from family and did some deals with a couple of people that were owing me also paid back. I only did gift deed for the 1.6m.
Please what do you guys think?
When is it best to apply? My 60 days is due in 25 days time.

Help is needed asap. cry
