Good day house.
Please I need urgent help.
For those that claimed sibling in Canada point, which documents did you submit for family member proof of status?
In my document checklist , they asked for :
Sibling PR card/ citizenship certificate PR Card should be submitted
Sibling proof of residenc in Canada. Bank letter can be used
Proof of sibling relasionship birth certificate showing same last name can be used
Family member proof of status i guess PR can be used for this. No need to submit twice
Am particularly confused on this last one, are they still asking for the PR card, can IRCC request same document twice

Responded with my thoughts. Others can pitch in.

Hey guys,

Been a while I've been on here, but I guess it's timely.
If you're an IT guru ie Desktop support and the likes, and you're currently in Toronto, see the following available positions.
Please and please, ensure you're fully qualified for this role before reaching out to me or applying (for those who don't want to reach out to me).
I can't give you the job, I can only give you a referral and prep you for the application processes based on how I feel about your LinkedIn profile or resume (sorry but I've got to be sure)
Please again, ensure you're a good fit before reaching out or applying.
All the best.

@Bolded. Another misconception. You are never marked on how relevant your answer is. Capital NO.

You are marked on how you are able to present your answer relevantly.

Take a sh.it point, garnish it with good grammar and related rare vocabs, show how the point relates to the topic, minimize spelling errors, structure it well and link the sentences appropriately. You will get above 7.

If only you know the points i used in my essay, you will laugh at me till next year. Only noticed i was answering in parallel towards the end and left it like that.

Hey guys,

Been a while tho.

About the writing test, spend a few hours studying the marking scheme and find out what they are looking for. It's not a thesis you need to prove if it's true or not, but an English test which examines your ability to express your ideas in simple, easy flowing words. You don't need big grammar, too many points etc to get a good score.

Keep It Simple Stupid - KISS!!!

5 paragraphs is enough to get above 7.

Paragraph 1 - Paraphrase the question plus your opening statement.
Paragraph 2 - Points for. State one or two maximum in different sentences.
Paragraph 3 - Points against. Same as above.
Paragraph 4 - State the pros and cons of your points comparing them.
Paragraph 5 - Your closing statement where you take a stand.

Conjunctions, adverbs, pronouns etc can add to your points....

Examples:

Additionally
First and foremost.
Firstly, second, finally...
Furthermore, conclusively, in conclusion
Either.... Neither
Where as,

I'm sure you get the idea. Let your reader flow with your points. Let him or her be guided to your conclusion. Just as I did with this writing.... I think lol

This is just a method I thought of, ensure you study what IELTS is looking out for and practise everyday.
Don't give up!!!

You guys should really research job opportunities before deciding on where to land.
Housing in Ontario is skyrocketing too.
Single applicants have more flexibility to move around than those with kids.
Winter is coming lol.

That being said Toronto is also lovely haha. grin

Hey guys,

Thanks for being nice. smiley

I've got a friend who intends doing a short landing cos of some personal stuff to handle before returning permanently.

1. I know he'd have to wait until his PR card is ready before returning to Canada, I have heard of other alternatives but with sketchy details. Is there a way he can return even when his PR card isn't ready?

2. His goods won't be coming with him cos it's a short landing, on return will he be taxed for his goods?

Thanks for your anticipated response.

Just a brief word of encouragement.

I got into Canada November 2017. Was quite concerned about how my fiance would join me, all options looked quite long. We settled for her to follow the EE route, she wrote IELTS in January, ITA in February, Submitted in March. Finally got PR August.
I'm so grateful to God as it's ending with praise.
NB: Wedding is in November. 2019 is going to be a great year for us.
Don't give up guys. Lots of opportunities here.

Good day People,

Some encouragement for someone out here.

Focus on the main goal ahead, make sure you have or can make people, cos local information and experience is really helpful here. They can help you settle in faster, give you advice with stuffs too.

The Joke part.

Whatever you've heard about the cold in Canada, just forget it, it's not really what you're thinking... But it's certainly 70 times more than what you're thinking...

Way forward.

I've got to start building now, work mode activated. Might not be here again but I certainly pray for us all, that it'd end up in praise as it has for me.

Plan. Plan.. Plan...
Plan very well and pray as well cos what you're searching for is attainable.

Have a wonderful White Christmas.

Hello from the other side....

Hello Y'all,

Landed in Toronto yesterday morning,

Went through the whole process within 20mins, these includes going through immigration, customs and waiting times on both queues.

Wasn't asked for POF, only asked how much I was bringing in and some other basic questions for travelers.

I provided an address for my card to be sent to.
That's pretty much it I think.

It's ending in praise....

Hello Guys,

Late post, was banned when I posted my PPR Update, but well here it is anyways . . .

For Guys writing IELTS, don't take it for granted. It is your key to getting a high score.

Gift Deed Affidavit can be used, regardless of how long the money has stayed in your account, Utilize your LOE well. . . Maybe it's Favor or not, It worked for me.

The spirit of waiting and patience is key. I battled with these for long, but pray to be filled with the Spirit of Positive Mindset, this will help tame the doubting Thomas and the negative "What Ifs" that will make you Worry.

My Timeline:

ITA 19 April 2017
AOR 04-06-2017
Med Passed 07-07-2017
IP1 07-07-2017
BG NA 20-07-2017
IP2 30-08-2017

Hello all,

Urgent question please!

Is there a format to request for bank letters for POF or will only bank statements be ok?

Not necessarily a defined format, the letter should include the requested information by CIC. You can find that in the document upload section for the POF.
Bank statement is fine with LOE as support.

What I did:
Got the letter from the bank, with the most of the requested info, including my bank statement, and then I explained some more in my LOE that the bank had a format for the letter, and I also attached my statement as an additional document.

Others can weigh in too.
