S TAGS: South Africa outh Africa has regained its position as Africa’s largest economy in dollar terms after hovering between second and third place. In April 2014, Africa’s most advanced economy was relegated to second place by Nigeria after the West African country rebased its gross domestic product (GDP) data. In 2016 it flirted with third place as Egypt moved to second position. Now it is back on the top. According to Bloomberg , “based on gross domestic product at the end of 2015 published by the International Monetary Fund, the size of South Africa’s economy is $301 billion at the rand’s current exchange rate, while Nigeria’s GDP is $296 billion.” The change comes as the rand gained over 16 per cent against the dollar since the start of the year, while Nigeria’s naira lost over a third of its value following the Central Bank of Nigeria’s removal of the country’s currency peg in June, says the media company. http://www.cnbcafrica.com/news/financial/2016/08/10/south-africa-economy-size/

Ubenedictus:If you say peter was the first pope and other popes are his successor...can u tell then who was the second, third, fourth.... etc and trace their lineage to this generation. |
Esseite:They are the group of unintelligent people who are filled with nothing but fear and lack of understanding. They are not interested in creating anything for themselves because of their inability to think and so they bask in vain glory. |
caracas:Where was Peter made the head of the church? The original church you are talking of is definitely not the Catholic church because it's not in the Bible |
Elzends:Jesus Christ did not find any church and Peter was not the first pope. There is no mention of any denomination as we know them today in the Bible. The churches were only identified by their location. e.g church in Ephesus, church in Corinth, church in Rome, church in Galatia etc |
The story is actually the other way round...It was a woman who bought the car to apologize

The run up to governorship elections in Edo State took a bizarre turn on Sunday when the candidate of the Accord Party (AP) and younger brother to Godwin Obaseki of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Don Pedro Obaseki turned on his own sibling. According to reports from Benin, Obaseki has stepped down for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the September 10 2016 election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and merged his entire political structure with the PDP’s campaign machine. Greennews.ng gathered that Pedro Obaseki, who is a veteran writer and university lecturer, reportedly merged with the PDP and endorsed Ize-Iyamu because he realised that Ize-Iyamu is the best candidate for the election. He also reportedly described Edo Governor, Adams Oshiomhole and his brother, Godwin Obaseki as ‘betrayers who are unworthy of trust’. http://greennews.ng/edo-polls-apc-candidate-obasekis-brother-turn-against-him/

Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding, sources close to the club have told ESPN FC. Holding, 20, has been tracked by the Gunners all summer after he burst onto the first-team scene, making 30 appearances in all competitions. The centre-back came through the ranks at Bolton and was one of their shining lights last season despite their relegation from the Championship. He was rewarded for his fine performances by scooping the Bolton Player of the Year award and he was also a member of England under-21 squad that won the Toulon tournament earlier this summer. Arsene Wenger's scouts have been keeping tabs on Holding's progress throughout and they see him as one for the future at the Emirates. Bournemouth were also keen on signing Holding, but Arsenal have moved quickly to try and agree a deal to bring him to North London. Arsenal are close to agreeing a fee in the region of £2 million with personal terms unlikely to cause any issues. If Holding does secure his move to Arsenal he will become Wenger's third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Granit Xhaka and Takuma Asano.

There are many wonders in this world. One of them occurred in China when a boy was born. The most unusual thing about this baby was the number of the fingers he’s got on his feet and hands. His mother has gotten good medical care during her pregnancy. She has gone through several screenings, but nothing prepared the young parents for such a thing. The boy was born healthy, but… He has 31 fingers on his feet and hands. 15 of them are found on the tiny hands and 16 more on the little feet. Moreover, the little kid has two palms on each hand, but with no thumbs on them. The parents of the child try to find a solution for the situation. Surgeons can remove extra fingers, but the operation would be costly and very complicated. Presently the boy is just a few months old. This condition is called polydactyly. It’s not a very rare condition, too. One in every 1000 people is born with more fingers than is deemed to be normal. As you may see, the boy’s mother also has it. She has one additional underdeveloped finger on her hand. However, 31 fingers is a very rare case of polydactyly. This family is poor, and the parents do their best to find enough money to pay for the surgery which has to be done before the baby turns one year old. Until this time his bones are still soft and the operation would be easier to perform. We hope other people can help these parents to get enough funds to give their son a normal life.
