Politics › Southeast Governors Slam Soldiers For Invading Kanu's Home by JAWBONE(op): 8:49pm On Sep 11, 2017 |
Southeast governors have taken a critical look at the clash between soldiers and supporters of Nnamdi Kanu which resulted in some people sustaining injury - The governors condemned the action of the soldiers at a time they are working to create peace in the region - They however promised to meet to stop a re-occurrence of such incident Governors from the southeastern part of Nigeria have condemned the clash between soldiers and supporters of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The clash occurred on Sunday, September 10, leaving some people injured and one person with bullet wounds. A soldier and a police officer were also injured in the incident. In a statement by the director of information of the Southeast Governors Forum, Mr Mike Udah, the state chief executives are not happy with the incident. The statement issued at the forum’s secretariat in Abakaliki, the governors said the incident was worrisome and disturbing. The however expressed their resolve to continue to maintain peace in their respective domains and in the country. The statement said that the governors had met with Kanu and some other Igbo stakeholders with the aim of ensuring that agitations for Biafra do not undermine the unity and oneness of Nigeria. The governors said it was disheartening for security operatives to invade the home of Kanu when they were already intervening for a lasting solution to the issue. “The South East Governors had held meetings in order that the agitations by Pro-Biafra groups do not escalate. “The recent invasion of the home of Nnamdi Kanu does not speak well of the unity of the Nation. It is indeed worrisome. “Meanwhile, efforts are being made by the governors to meet and nip such development in the bud,” the statement read. NAIJ.com earlier reported that Nnamdi Kanu and his followers claimed that the Nigerian army stormed his house in an attempt to eliminate him on Sunday, September 10. https://www.naij.com/1124750-southeast-governors-slam-soldiers-invading-kanus-home.htmllalasticlala

Nigeriadondie:
Soldier boy u compare yourself with soldiers abroad pls be reasonable. The soldiers abroad I know and ve seen dont behave d way u guys behave. The way u guys behave makes me wonder if some of u are animals coated with human skin. Soldiers abroad join queue and dont jump line cos they are in uniform like u guys do. Soldiers abroad dont move on a wrong lane just to beat traffic which u guys do and sometimes cause accident. Soldiers abroad pay their fares and dont expect a free ride. Soldiers abroad dont see police as inferior but see them as part of d civil authority they must be subjected and hence u never see or hear of Army-Police clash. U dont hear of military brutality towards civilians abroad but it is normal here. In a traffic if a civilian mistakenly hits ur car as it cud with anyone, then d soldier wud turn the civilian into punching bag cos na for civilian body una get power. I ve even witnessed a case where the soldier was at fault but was beating d driver whose car he damaged. So in all respect dont compare yourselves with soldiers abroad.
I did my NYSC in d north and witnessed firsthand so much brutality by d military towards unarmed civilian many of whom were even people old enough to be ur father. Sometimes I ask myself is it d gun and uniform that makes u guys so wild to act that way or d wraps of weed smoked.
During my NYSC, I had rapport with some soldiers and I was shocked with d comments of some soldiers which reflects their attitude towards civilians. The comments are "bloody civilians", una civilians no get sense", "I go waste una", "civilians be animal/chicken".
I feel perharps ur training makes u guys feel that u re superior to civilians but u fail to realize that u all in uniform were born "bloody civilians", ur fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, wives, children, relatives and friends are bloody civilians.
U also fail to realize that if u dont die in active service, u wud retire to be a bloody civilian. U guys are so arrogant and full of yourselves as if no be blood they flow for una vein. Na for civilian body una get power but when Boko Haram where overruning ur bases u guys were complaining of lack of weapons telling us grammar that it is assymetric warfare bla bla but there is a never a lack of ammunition when u re called upon to manage peaceful protest of unarmed bloody civilians whom u wud use to test your shooting skills.
I also wish to use this medium to tell all our member of armed forces here on this thread and those who may be one someday that if u re called to suppress peaceful protests, use ur head. Dont be a zombie as late Fela call u. Most peaceful protests are means through which d masses speak to senseless leaders cos if they were sensible and sensitive to d needs of d masses it wud not ve degenerated to a protest. Hence dont use ur arms against d people cos those thieves in power wud use to maintain their grip on power and dump u when u retire to d point that even ur meagre pension wud be owed while they embezzle billions. Dont let d gun or uniform get into ur head. Dont be a zombie cos as Fela call u. And remember what goes round comes round. Wow..just wow...can we share this until it gets to the soldier and the Nigerian Army |

EVILFOREST: What else do we expect the GOVERNORS to say...? I never expected anything different.
They are after their 2nd term BIDS and Senatorial bids.. Nonsense. Igbos have been insulted to the MARROW. Igbos Loved NIGERIA so much , that was why they made efforts to travel, live and establish in other areas with the hope that ONE NIGERIA exists...
Then when those who claim to be PURVEYORS of ONE NIGERIA come down to the far south and east.., they dare not even RENT ACCOMMODATION .. They rather sleep like Bats everywhere, still fomenting troubles as herdsmen who do not pay operational permits and taxes... Chasing students out of classrooms with namas.
They are fast at publishing ARTICLES that IGBOS will not produce IG. of police in the next 20years... IGBOS won't be allowed to head the custom.. IGBOS won't be allowed to head the JUSTICE cadre. IGBOS won't be allowed to head the Immigration... IGBOS not qualified to lead NIGERIA ... When GEJ was president, they made sure they made his RIGIME ungovernable, just as they promised. They always say things any how and get away with such.
A POLICE OFFICER said he would kill 200 southerners if PMB should give up the ghost.... A Redeemed Christian Lady was brutally killed, yet nothing. Another was beheaded, despite arrests, they were released and compensated. Osibanjo is being threatened now and asked to withdraw his ambition of vying in 2019, should anything happens to PMB....Isn't he eligible...?? U claimed to be for everyone and for nobody, yet 2weeks into office you displayed what a kindergarten kid couldn't do, by addressing people with a mathematical blunder of the century (97% and 5%)
.....what sort of a country is this....?
Someone in the south bunkers Oil, they call him an illegal oil bunker.. Someone in Zamfara mines LEAD, they encourage him.. Are both not NATURAL RESOURCES..?? ...even when they come down with lead poisoning, they are treated by the Federal Hausa Government and compensated.
U say ONE NIGERIA, yet u spread Arabic inscriptions on our legal tender(money) and Nigerian Army logo without considering the feelings of others.. U built ASO ROCK and National Assembly like MOSQUES. Yet u open your mouth to say ONE NIGERIA....because you are well represented... abiii What nonsense....?? What do they take people down here for..?
So if all these have been planned, what else do they need the IGBOS for.....?. THIS shouldn't cause WAR nor any form of rancor... They should even help the IGBOS to pack their properties and leave the stupid recalcitrant IGBOS there.. Direct your grievances and dissatisfaction to your various state governments and legislators. They are your representatives in the Nigerian government. |

nerodenero: For this kain church, na Chelsea and Arsenal be their god, God is not preached here.
The church has been seriously abused and most Christians aren't disciplined. Apologies to Christians but this can never happen in a mosque.
Verdict: this is no church but a viewing centre for Chelsea and Arsenal fans . A church is a place where CHRISTIANS WORSHIP, HEAR GOD'S WORD,COMMUNE WITH GOD, not where people gather. For a gathering to be called a CHURCH, these things must happen |
