Business / Re: The Secret Revealed: 1 NGN Can Equate 1 USD If Nigerian Government Can Do This. by jaybabs1(m): 10:15am On Feb 16, 2018
omokoladejames:
Like what Ken4Christ said, even if the government stops printing higher denominations, that would not make the naira strong.

What can make the naira strong is if its purchasing power increases. There are more than one factor that increases the purchasing power of a currency but one of the major factors is increase in the productivity level of the country. In simple terms if the productivity level of a country increases, the demand for money will increase thereby causing prices within the country to fall and the purchasing power of the money to increase but this is only valid if the supply of money does not increase.

So even if the government removes 1000 naira from the system but they continue printing 100 naira like say na water, that would not stop the person in the market from charging 15,000 naira from me, it would only mean i would have to carry a lot of 100 naira with me.

But imagine if it becomes alot easier and more profitable to grow rice in Nigeria(by government initiative, technology etc), more people will growing rice, also if the price of the nylon that they use to package the rice reduces because of of increase in nylon manufacturing and also if the cost of transportation of the rice from the farm to the city is reduced because of reduction in fuel cost etc, eventually all this cost reduction will reduce the cost of a bag of rice in the market to lets say 4000 naira. Now if all other production of goods and services increase like this and the government stops printing money like say tomorrow no dey and also no one person is given monopoly over any particular industry, then generally the overall price of things will fall, which will you will need less money to buy things. If you dey use 500 naira to buy plate of rice before, because of the general fall in price that 50 naira wey no fit buy you better pomo before go fit buy you full plate now. Its value(Purchasing power) has increased, so you won't even need to carry around 1000 naira in your pocket because it will be too much thereby making the need for 1000 note obsolete.

In terms of the exchange rate of the currency , there are a lot of factors to consider like economic growth, political stability, debt level, interest rate etc. But i believe it all starts with economic growth as i tried to explain earlier because remember our modern currency has no value on its own, its value comes from how people much people trust it's government and its economy. Ghana's currency is better because investors ghana's economy to be better and alot stabler than ours. If not for the oil and other potentials wey we get, with all the rubbish wey our government dey do since, our currency suppose don worse pass Zimbabwe own sef. But we thank God.

So bros I believe first things first, we need to increase our productivity level to cater for our needs(which will reduce unnecessary excessive importation) and also for export.

Just my opinion but I stand to be corrected

Bros, am a macro economist and I agree perfectly with your opinion. You are well-learned! To add to your point, it is supply and demand forces and deregulation of production or of supplies that create equilibrium. If $1 will be equal to N1 then the amount of $ available or supplied to the Nigerian economy via either Foreign direct investments (FDI) or forex earnings from exportation of products and services demanded by international markets must be at equilibrium with the indices of Nigeria's export-led industrialization or export oriented production.

The higher our export oriented product the more $ will be supplied to purchase these exportable goods and the lesser the exchange rate, Naira gets stronger, more employment is created, GDP increases, and the economy gets all better ...its a chain reaction! The Goverment's part is to provide favourable policies, incentives to production, provide financing platforms and enlighten the masses.

I once had a crazy friend who drove me in his vboot that has a c-class engine from kano main town to tiga dam and back with full ac on (about 80km) and guess what? the car's engine had less than a litre of engine oil. Never knew until we returned and he confessed. Asked him why he maltreated his car? Says 'the.engine is.built to withstand such' that c-class engine is military grade!

Thanks a lot for your responses.

Also, I appreciate all the positive responses I have received so far, for those asking me to render a full-scale service that will comprise both production, distribution and marketing, thanks for your contributions.

I am considering to upgrade the proposal into a rice production consortium of a sort. But that will be later.

For now, we will have a limited operation within the first few weeks/months and then we can quickly scale things up. I promise all investors an unflinching commitment to make this project a success and a breakthrough!

Our production consultancy is N200 - N400/bag depending on volume of production and as advised by some respondents, if you want us to handle marketing, distribution and sales within Kano markets, our marketing fee will be N100 - N200/bag depending on the volume too. We can use our company branded bags or any brand of your choice.

We will produce, package, sell and return profit and capital back to you or return profits alone and recycle the capital.

Please also take note that price of unprocessed rice is not static, so prices quoted may change either upward or downward. However, whenever prices change at the farmer/milling points, there is usually a corresponding change in the price in the market to reflect the changes and it is almost instant. So your profit is always guaranteed!

Thanks for your patronage.

Hello Entrepreneurs,

I am inviting any interested investor to partner, co-plan and co-invest in a high profit potential rice investment idea. I have done a very extensive research on the idea, i have visited rice farmers, processors/mills, rice middlemen merchants in kura Local Goverment in Kano, I have contacted bag printers. I have also contacted several large volume finished rice distributors/dealer in singer market in kano and I have done price market survey.

The idea in brief:
Purchase of unprocessed Rice
- A 100kg bag of CP rice variety (long grain) as of last week cost N9,500 - N10,000 price varies slightly per farmer/per location. This price includes transportation to the milling company.

Processing/Milling
- When this 100kg bag is processed using modern/imported milling processes and equipment. It will produce a 50kg of fine-polished, unbroken, de-stoned, parboiled and de-husked rice. I have pictures i took from the processing companies and the rice produced is very good looking, very comparable to the foreign/imported rice.

The companies charge N1,000 - N1,300 per each bag of 50kg bag fully processed. Later, we can decide to purchase our own small scale or large scale milling equipments. we can import it or buy it here in kano. The milling machines are very portable but they surprisingly mill the rice like they were milled by a large industrial size machine.

Packaging
We will give the milling companies our branded bags and they will do they packaging and sealing for us. It is all inclusive in the processing fee.

Marketing
We can sell it to any market we wish in Nigeria, we can work with dealers in kano, they supply to kano and all northern states and neigbouring countries. We can sell it through dealers to all over Nigeria.

Profit metrics:

Total cost of producing a 50kg fully processed rice N11,450 - N11,900
Breakdown
unprocessed Rice - N10,000
processing - N1,300
bagging/branding- N150
Total N11,450

Production consultancy charge per bag(My charges) N200 - N400 depending on volume of production.

Selling Cost:
Last week rice is supplied to dealers in Singer market at N12,800 - N13,200

This week the Price has jumped to about N13,800 - N14,200.

Some of the dealers I discussed with are able to move about 200 - 500 bags weekly for a start and it is expected that the figure will be increasing weekly as our brand gains more recognition in the market, and as other dealerships are opened in other states. It is possible to go as high as 1,000 - 2,000 bags weekly and even more with proper planning, coordination, strategic marketing and good network of sales rep positioned strategically in major cities of Nigeria.

If the deadline of rice importation will be implemented by December, 2017 as announced then we have more guarantee of bigger gains and faster market penetration. Most of the dealers are preparing for the import ban and hence they have began to pay serious attention to well-processed locally milled rice.

So, it is possible to make an approximate income of between N800 to N1,500 per bag. Thereby netting a weekly income of between a range of N160,000 to N600,000. And on higher scales it is possible to net between the range of N800,000 to N2,000,000 weekly.

This plan is not a comprehensive business plan, it is just a presentation of idea, I believe there are still more details to be discussed and addressed to make this plan a success for any interested investor. So I am open to cross pollination of ideas, joint-planning, further analysis, market survey and if you have a different view on how to achieve this plan, I will be willing to cooperate and run things to fruition.

Thanks for your interest.

wow just one.
God is a master creator he created so many things at last he said to himself let me create a thing that can think for itself and he created man.

and man created so many things and thought to himself let me create a thing that can think for itself and he created computer chip.

look around you don't let anyone judge for you. all this things you see from man to animals to plants and the universe all maintaining their law, animals mating and giving birth to a being like themselves eating, sleeping and playing those this things look as though someone planned it or spring up from a dot that expanded (evolution)?

I tire for all these evolution theorist, does it make sense to believe in the first place that life began from a big bang or tiny dot what not when you aren't there to witness it happened, not one among all these pro-evolution scientist witnessed the big bang. so why the senseless guess? speaking as someone who is religiously biased, I think it makes more sense to reason and deduce that our universe and all that exist therein is a very intelligently planned and organized existence and this can be corroborated by the simple points of the poster I quoted. Now, what pro-evolution theorists do not want to accept is this, this entire sequence of activities in this universe is an intelligent design and every design should have some separate existence that designed it. Either the designer is seen or unseen, the fact still remains unchangeable that there is one super intelligent and highly ordered master designer responsible for all creations and their respective sequence of existence.

in religious context, this master designer is called God, and some school of thought calls him 'the source' he conceives this natural creations, plans how they should operate and determine where they should fit and function in the other creature he made. The subject of biology and anatomy explains a lot about this. wait why is science contesting the existence of this infinite intelligence when the same infinite intelligence was the one who gave knowledge of science?

I believe in The reality and existence of a master designer and an infinite intelligence who conceived and created the entire universe. All that exist now is simply atoms and molecules under continous vibration, but he is not a vibration, He is the very one from which everything gets the energy for existence. He is real, more real that any other thing or person in existence.
