How are we sure that it is not 1500mw they are calling 3500mw. Have you noticed any improvement in power supply in your area from what you had before? even an hour more? |

The sad thing is that they will consider it unnecessary to apologise to the people of Nigeria for not being able to deliver on their promises and tell us why. Did you notice the minister saying Dr Babalola revealed that power generation, as at the weekend, stood at 3,500mw but explained that the most important thing being put in place was to have efficient power system, “whether we realise the 6,000 or 10,000mw and this is what we are trying to do.” That was indeed very rude and arrogant. |

alias64: Poverty did not cause the filth depicted in the second picture. What caused the filth in the second picture is a break down in culture brought about by trying to provide the western values of the first picture to the masses. The poor do not have to live in filthy conditions. The so-called experts have a set of indicators used to determine poverty. These indicators are often revaluated but the last time I checked filthy conditions were not used as indicator to measure poverty. A poor man can starve in a clean environment ask the North Koreans. Its the duty of an elected government to improve the living condition of its people. That is not happening in Nigeria. The gap between the rich and the poor is too wide. |

Politics › No Credible Political Ideology In Nigeria –– Don by Jaybee2412(op): 3:31pm On Nov 22, 2009 |
Kola Oyelere, Kano Friday, November 20, 2009
DR. Abubakar Jiddere of the Political Science Department of the Bayero University, Kano, has said that there is no political ideology in the country's politics since the Second Republic, saying most of today’s politicians are pursuing selfish agenda.
He then called on the political elite to legislate for societal transformation as well as provision of basic amenities rather than pursuing goals for their aggrandizement.
Disclosing this on Thursday, in Kano during a one-day sensitisation workshop on Civil/Political Education for the North, organised by Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Inspirational Leadership Forum, held at Centre for Democratic Studies, Mambayya, Dr. Jiderre urged politicians to take the interest of electorate into consideration.
He further observed that only few politicians are credible to be voted into power in Nigeria, stressing that despite this, some governors such as those of Lagos, Kano, Rivers, Bauchi, Jigawa and Anambra states have done their best.
Presenting another paper, Dr. Habu Muhammad said he observed that there was the need to reform the political system, lamenting that none of the 54 political parties in the country could fashion out an ideology.
Dr. Muhammad, whose paper was entitled: “Reforming the Political Environment: A Panacea for Hitch-free Election,’’ stated that lack of ideology gave birth to 46 gubernatorial aspirants for the Anambra State governorship election, pointing out that the highest bidder would surely emerge as candidate.
He, however, noted that political institutions in Nigeria were taking shape, emphasising that the future of Nigeria’s democracy depends on free and fair election, observing further that if Justice Uwais Electoral Reform Committee’s report is adopted, it could take Nigeria to the promised land. ttp://odili.net/news/source/2009/nov/20/602.html |

You would order a ringtone for £1. His company will then send you 2 or 3 SMS every week, each of them costing you £1 even if you didnt order any more ringtones.
Back then, you would put £10 credit on your phone, and before you know it, Alex has taken all your money.
I would get so pissed off, I would call the company swearing at the staff for stealing my money.
May thunder fire Alex for all the money he stole from us ignorant kids back in da day!!! He is a smart guy and you are a fool. Who is to blame? |
