PoliticsAbia State Deploys Israeli Technology To Fight Kidnapping- by Jaybee2412(op): 5:54pm On Nov 19, 2009
The Abia State Government has concluded arrangements to hire an Israeli firm to assist in the war against kidnapping in the state. Multiple sources in Umuahia and at the Israeli embassy confirmed to this reporter that a team of Israelis who are intelligence and security experts would soon arrive Nigeria armed with a sophisticated technology designed to find criminals.

Elendureports.com was informed that this is not the first time the Israelis would be deploying this technology in Nigeria. According to our sources, “it is already being used in Rivers State and when these guys come into Abia State you will see that the rate of kidnapping will drop.”

The technology is designed to trace targets through telephone calls. According to one source, “the moment a kidnapper calls a victim’s home or family member, probably to make ransom demands, a trace is put on the number and it can actually be traced to the exact house from where the call was made.”

This technology has been used effectively in Israel to find kidnap victims and terrorists, according to one source.

Kidnappings in the South East of Nigeria, especially in Abia State have adversely affected the state to a point where businesses and even indigenes have been leaving the state in droves. Many of these businesses and individuals have relocated to places like Lagos and Abuja.

A business man who before now had lived in Aba all his life told this reporter a few weeks ago: “My brother I have left the place. Obviously they don’t want young men and women in Abia so I have relocated to Abuja. My family and I are here now and we like it. I regret leaving Aba but the Aba I used to know is gone and the government is not willing to do anything about it.”

Critics have posited that Gov T.A Orji has been slow in addressing the wave of crime in Abia. According to one of the critics who spoke to this reporter from Aba, “I think T.A Orji has no business being the governor of Abia State. Since he came to office crime has spiraled out of control and the man is not doing anything about it. Even if he is doing something it has been too little too late.   By Jonathan Elendu”

PoliticsThe Psyche Of The Average Nigerian Under Scrutiny - pictures by Jaybee2412(op): 6:12pm On Nov 18, 2009
I have been reading various posts and the replies to them on the state of the Nigeria Nation.  These have occupied my mind in recent times and have been giving me a lot of concern. I begin to wonder what has happened to the psyche of the average Nigerian. Could it be true that the average Nigerian can no longer think straight due to the psychological warfare that has been unleashed on him from all fronts? Could it be true that his psyche had been seriously affected by the daily traumatic abuses by our corrupt polititians; by our fraudulent religious leaders; by our unscropoulus businessmen;  by our shameless traditional rulers; by our immoral lecturers and professors; by our clueless and ignorant law enforcement officers; and above all, by our kangaroo judges. Do you think he will continue to eat crumbs from their tables for-ever without any question or challenge? Do you think he will continue to live in squalor and think his reward is in heaven?
I think there is a corellation between increasing level of corruption and rise in poverty.

@posters and all his supporters
Before I go on, I would like to make it clear that I am a full blooded Nigerian though I hold a British passport. I am as patriotic as anyone living in Nigeria. We really need to use this forum as well as other similar fora to engage ourselves in meaningful discussion on how to make Nigeria a better place for all of us to live. Nobody is happy in deriding Nigeria or all our people living there; its only fools who will jump into conclusion rrhat by critising those in power and who are responsible for the precarious situation in which we are will condemn us for speaking the truth. Or perhaps the poster is one of those in power disguising as a nairalander. I have three of my siblings living in Nigeria, all graduates, all unemployed, and you are asking me not to rebuke the system that refused to do anything about their situation. I work 16 hours everyday to be able to cater for them and our ageing parents back home. If most Nigerians back home should be thinking like this poter, it means the psyche of the average Nigerian has been systematically destroyed by our political and religious elites.
PoliticsRe: Militants Attack UNIPORT by Jaybee2412(m): 7:16am On Nov 17, 2009
what baffles me is why people keep reffering to them as millitants. These are nothing but a bunch of hoodlums,  thieves and rapists who will never be able to integrate into a civilised society. In most countries of the world they would have been sent to maximum security prisons doing long terms. It is only in Nigeria that such animals would be giving VIP treatment by   been paid salaries for attending training institutes. It shows how low our society has descended and how misguided some policies could be.
PoliticsRe: Which State Is The Worst State In Nigeria? by Jaybee2412(m): 6:48am On Nov 17, 2009

The question is a stupid one and need not be answered. All tthe states are in a state of dire staights due to bad leaders. The question should have been ' which states are improving?'
PoliticsRe: Fg Indicts Obasanjo Over N200bn Ecological Fund by Jaybee2412(m): 6:24am On Nov 17, 2009
Where were these people when OBJ was in charge of this fund? Were they not part of the PDP Cabals doing the looting together? Why couldn't they say anything by then? PDP has been in power for 10 bad years and all we hear was corruption here and there. None of those accusing OBJ of mismanaging the fund has the moral right to do so. Its too late to cry when the head is off. As for those accusing Ribadu, was he the AUditor GEneral of the federation or a member of the National Assembly? He was a law enforcement officer, he could only act if any crime was reported or suspected. He could not possibly go after OBJ when nobody raised an eyebrow by the time.

They should be asking for good roads and rail lines. Planes and airports are for the greedy ruling class and their partners in criime. Get smart!

If all of you want a change, then don't allow any politician to steal or buy your votes in the next election. Standby and ready to protect your votes whatever it takes. Last time it was do or die for the politicians, this time let us make it a matter of do or die to protect our votes. Curses won't change anything but your counted votes will certainly do. So make your votes count. Period.
