Nigeria has always been the sub - regional power house in Africa and will continue to be so for the forseable future. Distabilise Nigeria and what you've got is a distabilised Africa. We need a holistic approach in making Nigeria a sustainable power house by getting rid of the greedy fews. Just dismantle PDP and you will see that Nigeria will become the greatest country in Africa within a year. |

SEFAGO:What do you expect? A space craft? ![]() |
Nemesis will soon catch up with you. Don't be too quick to celebrate because God dey. |
Political machinations. Another attempt to deceive Nigerians that UMYA is still in control and given presidential orders. How are we sure that this order was not from Turai. Turai will soon be sending soldiers on missions if we are not careful ![]() |
The ingenuity of the Nigerian individual is unparalleled, given the pathetic state of infrastructures and enabling enviroments for industrial development. The man has really done well and congratulations. Shame on the Nigerian government for their failures, This achievement is more than 70 points agenda.

For the foolish ones, it's status upgrade, which is downright due to inferiority complexe. Period |
Thanks paddy Lo for posting these beautiful pictures. I love Abuja |
Docile, incompetent, pariah and free for all looting with blatant impunity ![]() |
Don't expect any video conferencing now or at any time. It's all waiting game. Did you notice that there has been a complete media blackout on the state of the president's health for the past week in all our television houses? Even the 'Focus Nigeria' programme on AIT don't allow people to phone in to the programme for fear that certain statements or questions may come from members of the public. I live in the UK, and I have noticed in the past few days that BEN Television might have been told to stop airing its phone - in programme BBS for fear of what people are going to say. |
We should not be appealing to UMYA to resign because it appears the man is not in a mental and physical condition of doing so, if we are to believe all that we have been hearing. We should rather be appealing to this group of people closed to him who are doing everything to hide the real condition from the Nigerian people. We should also focus our attention on those who are supposed to execute their constitutional role in replacing the president in a situation that currently exists. UMYA is perhaps not aware of all that is happening arround him. |
Due process and rule of law; those are their own watch words. If they want anything signed into law let them invoke section 144-146 so that Jonathan can have the presidential power to do so. At the moment he would be acting ultra vires if he attempts to do anything that is the exclusive power of the president. Such actions will be unlawful. So Jonathan is not a fool or an effigy as some dim-witted fools thought. |
While I remain a strong believer in God ALmighty' I must confess that I don't support the antics of this army of prayer warriors playing on the intelligence of the Nigerian people. Surely all sympathise with the president of his present condition and wish him quick recovery, but that does not mean that those in power should refuse to see reason that it is time to start acting to save our dear country before it is too late. It is not when the country start degenerating into a state of anarchy that they should start acting. Nigeria is greater than any president wheather dead or alive. They should stop pretending being sentimental or risk being accused of unpatriotic, selfish, deceptive, and pursuants of personal aggrandissement. This message is for PDP, FEC, NASS and the State Governors. |
why is this foolish thread is in politics section. My candid advice to the poster is to get a life before it is too late. How long has he been living in yankee before adopting a gangsta culture? He is certainly going about the whole thing wrongly, and that could be very dangerous for him. I won't be surprised if he end up in a back alley with a slug in the head. |
So how about the speech scheduled for Friday? |
I hope they are given expatriate status ![]() |
Delete your post through 'modify' and just put a dot to replace the heading and another dot to replace the body. |
Whatever happened to those named in the Halliburton Saga. |
WilyWily:Like a popular saying in Yorubaland 'The death of the monkey will come from his foolishness' |
sjeezy8:It has been a poison to democracy. It has never and will never work. After 17 days in a hospital in Saudi Arabia, President Umar Yar’Adua has reportedly lost his voice and his condition dreadful. Are they trying to say he is in coma? |
ode remo:Are you just waking up from coma? Haven't you heard about the G56? |
Can anyone predict the outcome of all this saga? Where do you think all will end? A challenge for Nairaland political pundits. |
He had been removed as the anchor man of Focus Nigeria since October 2009. it was alleged that Yar'Adua threatened to shut down AIT because his programme was deemed to be biased against the government of the day. 'Presidency sources say the Program is considered too critical of the Government of President Yar’Adua, even though government officials are often invited to defend policies'.You can read more, http://www.pointblanknews.com/os2343.html |
You should all know better. The moment those who are suppose to follow the constitutional procedure of dealing with this problem decided to turn prayer warriors we are all doomed. Where in modern times would a constituted authority prefers to tackle the affairs of a country with 150 million people by going spiritual. This is madness. How could we all close our eyes while the ship is sinking. Please all those who are in charge of executiing the layed down means of saving the day should wake up and do the right thing now, or else it would be too late to cry when the head is completely off. Posterity will never forgive them. |
They should be fasting for Nigeria that is fast becoming a headless chicken |
ode remo:She has gone AWOL, the terrain is becoming a mine field ![]() |
From which planet are these Yar'Adua people from? Do they think he is ruling a village of five huts? |
She was reading from a script given her by PDP cohorts. She is an enemy of her brotther. His health is never her worries. |
