OMO IBO: You are missing the point. I want you to take his son or family member out of the picture. Rewind a few months or even years
It would be interesting to know if he'd do the same if some other guy attempted to pluck a plane from the skies. Infact, what are his views of 9-11 and the London bombings??
Obviously, as a well known man in Nigeria and a loving father he took steps to understand his son and also make him see the negative implications his actions may have on him and the family. I don't think i'm missing the point cos clearly from US's confirmation of the intel giving by his father that it is somewhat relatively safe to conclude that Dr muttalab is against radicalisation of Islamic faith. We currently don't have any evidence to suggest otherwise. IF the guy was simply worried about his missing son then i'm sure going to the US embassy wouldn't have been one of the steps he had taken. |

OMO IBO: I'd really want to know Mallam Mutallab's stance on the state of affairs with regards to Islam and spate of suicide bombings.
Did he become concerned (and then subsequently alerted the US officials) when he lost contact with his son/got wind of his son's radical views? hasn't the father answered your concerns by taking the unprecedented steps of reporting his own son for sliding through the radical path? Why would he report his own son for going to YEMEN if he didn't have reservations about radical view of Islam in the said country? |

~Sauron~: How have these players scored more goals at half way point than last season when we had Ronaldo and Tevez?
It seems you are still recta-cranially inverted. R u saying that's due to berba? Rooney have scored more goals simply because of his increase in responsibility. He now takes penalties and free kicks plus he his the go to guy (focal point of attack) hence getting more chances. Take out the no of penalties and free-kicks scored by rooney dis season and do a proper comparative analysis |

Berba according to ManUTD ( http://www.manutd.com/default.sps?pagegid={FE60904B-C2A8-4E60-9B05-700DBBC29BBC}§ion=playerProfile&teamid=458&bioid=93373)= Striker Striker's primary role ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_(association_football) = putting the round ball in the net Cost to UTD per goal = £1.6 M Sauron stop flogging a dead horse. Berba is not delivering no matter what angle you wanna look at it. He wasn't bought to improve our link up play |

neily: Why is it dat terrorists are always muslims, is dat what d Islamic Religion teaches? Absolutely no marks for being ignorant in dis 21st century when nuff infos is right at your finger tips. Are the IRA's of islamic faith? or better still the numerous likes of Timothy Mcveigh and his white separatist likes what about the cubans that used to hijack planes in the 70's and 80's? |

Politics › Re: Mutallab: Are We Really Meant To Believe A Father Would Report His Own Son! by jaybee3(m): 1:17pm On Dec 29, 2009 |
femfem2000: Bluetooth, I appreciate your response. If a Father was willing to shop his own son for being a potential terrorist that should raise the seriousness of the issue to any good security agent. Most parent of potential terrorists do not report their own children and the security agencies know this. Hence, for a father to report his own son and then the security agency of the US put the boy on a lowrisk list and grant him a VISA is biggest conspiracy theory I've heard. It just doesn't add up. If you as a father come to me to tell me that your son is a potential armed robber who has been looking to potentially raid my house, would I just enter it my diary or would I make some tougher security arrangements? The mere fact that you are his father and was willing to report your own son makes me take it a lot more seriously. r u seriously dis dumb or plain ignorant? the dude got his multiple entry VISA in the UK and the dad reported him 2 months ago due to the alarming intel they had at the time. Is that seriously hard to decipher? |
