Damn! i really cant forget what happened yesterday, up till now i still think about it like it is true and real. Okay, yesterday morning i was preparing a post for my blog, http://cliniconomy.com (check it out) I recieved a cal from my gf and while we wia talking she chipped in something like, "i am pregnant for you". I never knew she can act like this i swear she made the whole scenario look so real, crying, sobbing and things like that. I tried to calm her down and advised her to go for test so we can be quite sure and confirm from a qualified medical personnel. She said she will do that, and will get back to me tomao,(that is today) but dis morning, she called me, and said that her mum just found out and have told her dad, (a lt col in the Nigerian army) well. after the call, i swear cold begin catch me, blood vanish from my body. All sorts of thought s started creeping into my mind, like, what wil her fada do to a guy that just got her only daughter pregnant? how will i best manage this girl that i love so much if eventually the test comes out positive. At the appointed time, she called and told me that the test was positive and her mum is bring her over to my house now. SHE finally said truth though that it was just a joke, trying to pull my legs and know what i will do and how i will react. I was a little bit relieved, but so angry and ended the call, i never wanted to say anything in my angry state. What is in my mind right now is to break the relationship. But i dont think it is the best decision and that should be my angry my talking. I dont want to do what i will regret in future. If you wia in my shoes what will you do? |
Just thinking though. what if you wake up one morning to hear that some bad ass hacker has hack the hell out from google. What are the ways you think it will affect the world in general ![]() ![]() |

Pregnancy nutrition can be very important in the life of both a pregnant Mother and her unborn baby. Both the mother and the fetus deserve maximum care when it comes to nutrition so as to enhance the Mother’s strength to carry the pregnancy and the resources to produce milk and other essential stuffs to be utilized by the fetus. The baby’s health, growth and overall wellbeing is at stake if the you as the Mother fails to take your Pregnancy nutrition serious. Adopting a healthy, nutritious and balanced diet is one of the most important gifts you can offer to your lovely un-born baby. - Calcium: Calcium has always worked to strengthen you bones and teeth. It is not only essential for your baby but also for you. It also enhances the nervous system, circulatory system and it also helps out in weight management during pregnancy. Pregnant Mothers need at most 1,000 – 1300 mg of calcium per day to build the bones and teeth in the fetus and also replace the calcium lost during hair loss, nails, skin, urine and lastly, through feces in the pregnant Mother. The lost calcium in the mother must be replaced, if not, the body collects calcium from the bones to utilize in the production of our hair and nails. Good Sources Calcium: Diary products, fruit juice, breakfast cereals, Yogurt. - Vitamin D Vitamin D, also referred to as sunshine vitamin because the skin synthesizes the vitamin when responding to the effect of the early morning sun. Its main function in the body is its ability to regulate the absorption of calcium and phosphorous. When not working on that it can be found enhancing our immune system functions. Therefore, it is important in the development of the bones and teeth in a developing fetus and also increases the immune system of both the mother and fetus. Vitamin D is needed about 600 (IU) per day. Good Sources Of Vitamin D : Salmon fish, fortified milk, orange juice, eggs. - Protein: Protein is termed the builder, it builds up the developing body of the baby and repairs the worn out tissues of the mother. It is most important for your baby’s growth especially during the second and third trimesters. Pregnant mothers need 71 g of protein per day. Protein is really an important component of different cells in the body. Proteins are needed for the production of enzymes and so many chemicals in the body. It is the building block for the baby’s finger nails, hair and other structures in the body. Unlike others that have being discussed here on this post, the body doesn’t have a reservoir to store excess protein in the body, instead the excess is concerted to urea and excreted through urine. Good Sources Of Protein: Dried beans, Peanuts, Dairy products, poultry, Meat, fish. - Iron: The body of both the Mother and fetus needs to synthesize hemoglobin which is to transport oxygen round the body via the red blood cells in the blood. The need for Iron increases as the pregnancy matures because the woman’s blood will increase in size to make blood available for both the mother and fetus. Iron In the body is needed 27 mg a day. Low amount of iron in your body, you will be susceptible to infections. Good sources OF Iron : Cereals, Beans, Vegetables - Vitamin B: Vitamin B in form of folates help prevent birth defects. It helps prevent serious abnormalities of the brain and spine. Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate which is found in foods. We need about 800 micro grams of folate or folic acid per day through out your days of pregnancy. Good Sources of Vitamin B : Fortified cereals, Leafy vegetables, citrus fruits, peas and dried beans, Asparagus. In addition to your pregnancy nutrition, try and include prescribed food supplements to your diet. Prescribed, in the sense that, your Doctor must be aware that you are using it. http://cliniconomy.com/pregnancy-nutrition-5-nutrition-hacks-you-shouldnt-miss-out-on/ |

CONTINUED Hell broke loose when they started hauling grenades at us. The first and second landed on a position where me and my comrades were far away from, the third landed just a few distance beside a soldier but he was fast enough to role away from the bomb’s explosion range. The fourth was quick to action and landed just in front of the soldier taking cover in front of me. He stood up quickly to move away from the bomb but incoming slugs of bullets rained down on his chest. His flash jacket could have at least reduced the impact of the bullets but when the exploded, even the flash jacket exploded with it. After the blast, I was deaf, blind and I loosed my sense of taste and stimulus. It was after some seconds that I started seeing pieces of human flesh rain down on us like the first heavy rain during the beginning of raining season. I noticed that I was covered with blood, and when I finally regained my whole senses I realized that the bomb have flinged me backwards from my previous cover (the shrub) and I was now lying on the foot of a huge tree which I must have crashed on. My ribs aches real bad because I have landed heavily on the thick roots which were partially on the surface of the ground. I spotted my rifle lying helplessly just a few distance away from me, I crawled over and picked it up. I raised it to shoot but still no figure visible. The smoke and dust has now increased and made our vision worst. The remnants of my comrades were still shooting aimlessly into the space in front of them. That’s the much they can do at least to stay alive and avoid the enemy from closing up on them. I lowered my eyes over my rifle again to aim and shoot and suddenly my eyes caught up on a figure which was quite blur, it tried to switch cover. I pulled on my trigger hard and the figure gave out a loud cry from the other end where the enemy was shooting us from. I saw the body that i have shot fall to the ground and never rose again. After the shot, it was like my eyes were now clear, to my greatest surprise, I could see so many of them hiding behind the trees, most of them wearing black and it-was-white Caftan, some were putting on camouflage uniform similar to the ones we were wearing but looks too dirty. I can see more than the eagle now. The enemy was advancing slowly because they are now outnumbering us. I left my position from beside the tree and crawled forward to were my comrades were all lying down, the dead ones remained dead, the wounded kept yelling and crying the pain and the ones alive never stopped pulling on their triggers. I started returning fire immediately and the enemy started recording casualties. "I got one! I got them! They are scattered all over the horizon" A soldier shouted as he crawled over to join me. " I got them right here too!" I replied, keep focused. " light them up!!!!!!!!!!!" Ahmed shouted, shooting vigorously from his end. |

Authors Note: Hello guys, this is my first story on Nairaland and i intend to make it the shortest ever. I am not an Author or anything related to it so dont expect the huge, crafty and sneaky tricks seasoned Authors use to manipulate the minds of their readers. But i promise you that i will make your experience as a reader look similar to living a heavenly life on Nairaland's literature section. All i need from you is just your critiques, pinpoint and tell me were i am making mistakes as a writer and if possible, correct me on that. One love IMAGINE, FIGHTING A WAR WITH AN ENEMY THAT IS IN LOVE WITH DEATH!!!!!!!! Episode 1 I had this feeling right from my childhood days that joining the army will be the most fantastic experience in my life and immediately after my high school I took the vault, got myself into depor and after training for 9 months, here I am; under this hot sun inside a forest that the name sounds like latin to me, walking slowly and steady as a corporal alongside other members of my squad. We are on the verge to close up on a suspected bokoharam camp. The tension within me and my squad members was very high, right from my position I could feel the heart of the soldier beside me beating heavily, almost jumping out from his chest. With our rifles handy and ready, ears wide open to pick up any sound signal that flies by our ear. Our brains were fully active, working on its highest capacity to access the sound signals picked up by our ears. We also have one objective, to move into the camp unnoticed and take them down unawares. So we walked like cats, I can barely feel the ground below my feet. I walked like a ghost, along the bushy path which was filled with dried up leaves that have fallen from the water starved trees that made up the forest. As we advanced into the enemy territory, my nerve’s sensitivity reduced drastically, I can hardly feel anything just my fingers wrapped up tightly around my rifle. The second finger of my right hand; the finger beside my index finger was slightly holding the trigger reading to receive any impulse from my brain to pull. My name is Raymond, but the rugged soldiers down here with me call me Ray, that is the short form of my name and I hate to be addressed by that name, I prefer my original name. I am 22 years old, 6.5ft tall, I am not that muscular but I have the type of body built in such a way that the females I hang out with are okay and feel attracted to when I UnCloth in front of them. I am chocolate in complexion, with a thick dark hair that attracts attention when tendered properly. On the average, I am a handsome young guy, full of life, and also, full of death. My squad was among the fresh, rugged men that were pushed into Maidugri to replace a previous squad. I have never had any experience of combat, meanwhile, I just left depor, and just after my one month leave I was flinged down here to practice what I have learnt during training. I am here to fight for my country, any terrorist that am to gun down today and the days to come, I am not killing them because am a soldier or that I’ve being commanded to kill, I am killing because I am a Nigerian and the tears of my people is still my own tears to cry. Back to reality, I found myself stop my movement, following orders from my squad leader, by name Sergeant Oliver who just raised his right hand up with the hand tightly clenched, he has signaled every one of us to pause. I was standing right behind him and I noticed him moving his eyes slowly ahead of him, he was staring into an area in front of him densely populated with heavy and thick vegetation. Another soldier moved his head upwards to peruse whatever signal Oliver has picked up. We all joined and let loose our instincts to judge the signals we’ve picked up. Everywhere remained calm for some time, Sergeant Oliver was about to break the 30 seconds silence when something else more faster and louder than his voice broke it, a blast from a rifle, the sound coming from no direction, the bullet pushed through various dried up grasses, leaves and tress from a distance and rested on Sergeant Oliver’s left eye, followed by this heavy bloody splash that bolted out from his orbit immediately as bullet has crushed his eyeballs. He slumped to the ground, yelling out for help, holding his bleeding left eye, and striking his legs to the ground in pain. “Everybody get down!” the soldier standing next to the blown up Sergeant yelled out and threw himself to the ground, crawling backwards towards where I was already taking cover. We all spread out, took our strategic positions and as we perused the situation, in no time we’ve pinpointed the exact location the slugs of bullets were coming, we started returning shots back to the positions our instincts have told us that the enemies are. It was a hell of fire exchange. After shooting several rounds into an empty space, several shots were returned back to us from that same empty space. We just have to duck down, thanks be to God that at least I found something like a stud to take cover. With time, the fighting intensified, we were recording more casualties, and something just have to be done, a change of tactics and co-ordination. I turned over to face the soldiers behind me, “who is in charge now?” I yelled on the top of my lungs so that I could be heard over the noisy staccato sound of raging and barking rifles. "shut the Bleep up and continue shooting" a deep angry voice yelled back at me from a distance. The voice was coming from Ahmed, an hausa soldier who i knew was fond of making jest of other soldiers. He is so troublesome and tries to ride over other unfortunate soldiers more when he is around his similar joker friends. I ignored him and turned back to face my business with my rifle when i looked beside him and saw the lifeless body of one of his best friends. I understood the source of his fury. I pulled my trigger severally and felt the recoils on my rifle after bullets departed from the barrel of my rifle. Dust and thick smoke made our vision poor and i couldn't even see the dried leaves and grasses i was shooting at. |
Like i knew u would be looking for an answer like dis while i was preparing this post. Follow the link and read up the relationship between Ovulation, menstrual flow and safe period, it is a clear and concise explanation. Endeavour to drop your questions and idea there. http://cliniconomy.com/rel-btw-safe-period/ |
DOes it have anything to do with how our brain works? |
Source: http://cliniconomy.com/missed-menstrual-cycle-5-reasons-period-isnt-showing-usual/ I bet you, the first thing that hits an average woman’s reasoning will be that she is pregnant; even if she hasn’t slept with a man all these while she will zoom off to the doctor to check her pregnancy status. That’s so normal, very normal, even a doctor will advise you to check your pregnancy status and ask about your age after giving ears to your complaint. That is because pregnancy and menopause are the only normal natural condition that can cease your menstrual flow, all other factors withholding the flow of your menses is a problem and needs to be perused and checkmated before it gets out of hand. So now, you’ve gone for several pregnancy tests and they’ve all certified you negative. You still can’t see your menses and you are not pregnant. You are currently confused, freaking out because you don’t have anything to hold on to at this point of time, no menses and no pregnancy. Sleepless nights sets in, you think a lot. You will keep asking yourself “oh my God what is wrong with me?” Who will answer your question? Who will come and tell you what could be your problem? Assuming somebody can just give you tips to open up your taps again. You will feel relax and feel like a woman ones more, after all what is a lady without an active menstruation cycle? Lets come down to business, as I mentioned earlier, pregnancy, breastfeeding and menopause are the only factors that God has permitted to naturally cease your menses. Yes, quote me wrong if you can! Other factors are just problems that have being caused by several conditions you have exposed yourself to consciously or unconsciously. This can fall on any woman at any period in time, it can be a meager problem or so serious that will take miracles to fix. This is why the knowledge of the factors that can cause seizure in your menstrual flow comes in handy. Other abnormal factor that can cause seizure in your menstrual flow includes: HORMONAL IMBALANCE: Usually one of the frontline factors, hormonal imbalance can cause a woman to miss her periods, maybe caused by tumors in the pituitary gland or thyroid gland problems. Some drugs that affect the hormones can alter its functions and cause confusion to the body’s reproductory mechanism. Antipsychotic drugs, Blood pressure drugs and mostly birth control pills which can cause the problem if stopped suddenly. ANXIETY OR STRESS Our body is very sensitive to its wellbeing, any slightest change will surely bounce back to disrupt its functioning, this is the relationship between stress and your menstrual flow. Worrying about something for so long can cost you your menstrual flow for that particular month and months to come if you don’t stop worrying and putting anxiety and stress on yourself. Stress suppresses the functioning of the hypothalamus, (the part of the brain that houses the pituitary gland and controls it). The pituitary gland on its own is the master gland and controls all other gland in the body. If you‘ve being following you will notice that we are now talking about Hormonal Imbalance again. TOO MUCH WEIGHT We worry because of our weight just because of two things, our health and our physical appearance, but being overweight has so much above this two things because it can also affect the regulation of your menstrual flow. According to Maria Arias, MD, a gynecologist at Atlanta Women’s Specialists in Georgia, she stated that basic cholesterol compounds in fatty cells can be converted spontaneously into a type of weak estrogen called estrone. Overweight or obese women carrying extra fat cells have “little estrone-making factories, which have an estrogenic effect on glands. This additional estrogen can cause menstrual disorders. TOO MUCH EXERCISE Too much exercise to lose weight and for body fitness can also be a factor that causes problems in your menstrual cycle. Too much exercise can trigger an effect that suppresses the hypothalamus. INFECTIONS Infections can also cause missed menstrual flows, some bacterial infections if left untreated can tamper with your reproductory system and when this happens you shouldn’t expect your menstrual flow to be as normal as before. Missing your period 2 -3 times in a row can raise a cause for concern, and when this happens, seeking the doctor is the best solution. Don’t follow assumptions and advice from friends, just move forward to your Doctor. That’s my two cents! Do you like this article? Drop your thoughts and ideas about this post. Your criticism is highly welcomed ![]() |
Apple’s iOS 8 makes typing on iPhones easier with the free upgrade, typing on the iPhone’s touch keyboard doesn’t seems as tedious, cumbersome or infuriating as it did before, when a rather dim-witted autocorrect system would slip in words that made people look illiterate or, even worse, inappropriate. The new QuickType keyboard is smart enough to anticipate what you’re typing, such as the next logical word in a phrase. You’re constantly shown three word choices in a gray ribbon above the keyboard. When the right word appears, tapping on it automatically inserts it into the text to save keystrokes. I just avoided 15 by tapping on “automatically” and “keystrokes” when they popped up. If that’s not slick enough, iPhone and iPad users can choose one from an outside party, similar to what Google’s Android operating system has allowed for years. A few are free, while others cost 99 cents to $4.99. Switching to a different keyboard just requires pressing on a small globe near the space bar, a tool that allows you to use each one them, for this review. I am focusing on the keyboards that I liked best, though I also experimented with several others, including Flesky (99 cents) and Textexpander ($4.99). Apple’s QuickType (free) This keyboard strives to predict what words are being typed so you don’t have to spend as much time pecking on your device. For the most part, QuickType fulfills that mission. It does a good job anticipating common words like “the” and “you,” but also understands when to list words like “immolation.” It also had no problem butthe most annoying aspect about QuickType and all the other keyboards is their inability to anticipate punctuation marks. When I type, “As Mark Twain once said,” I have to go back to add a comma after tapping on “said.” If these keyboards were really smart, they would start to include words with punctuation among the choices. SwiftKey (free) This seemed to be the most intelligent of the keyboards that I tried. As promised, SwiftKey quickly picked up on my writing style and frequently used words. When I was writing an email about New Orleans, SwiftKey smartly included “Quarter” among the choices after I typed “French.” With your permission, SwiftKey also scans posts on your Facebook page. It seemed to know your favourite sports teams right away. For instance, when I typed “Pittsburgh,” it included “Steelers” among the choices for the next word. SwiftKey is supposed to pay attention to each user’s writing style to become ever-more clairvoyant as time goes on. Swype (99 cents) the main appeal of this keyboard is a feature that inspired its name: the ability to enter text by swiping across the keyboard instead of tapping on keys. This is especially useful for common punctuation. For instance, that comma and space were created with a swipe from the comma to the space bar. And how about this? That question mark was entered with a quick swipe down from the “m” key to the space bar. You’re also supposed to be able to enter entire words by swiping around the keyboard, but I wasn’t adroit enough to perfect the technique. Minium ($1.99) At first, what you’re typing looks like gibberish if you just look at the body of the text. But the keyboard grew on me once I realized I was supposed to focus on the ribbon above the keyboard, where six different word choices are constantly displayed. If you learn to focus on that ribbon, the word you want usually appears and can be inserted into the text with a quick tap. Minuum’s name refers to its ability to be shrunk down to an ultra-small mode with a downward swipe. I had no use for this option on an iPhone, but it might be handy at times on the iPad’s larger screen. Bottom line Apple’s new keyboard is so much smarter than its predecessor that most longtime iPhone and iPad users probably will be quite happy just to use it. I recommend checking out SwiftKey or Swype if you are looking for an even more intelligent type. http://mobimonger.com/typing-made-easier-on-apples-ios-8/ |
Dizziness is a common symptom of many medical conditions. It is important to know the exact cause of your dizziness to be able to treat underlying medical conditions, if any. In this article, we are going to talk about some of the most common causes of dizziness. Dizziness can be caused by abnormal blood pressures. People with high blood pressure usually experience dizziness because of the surge of blood to different parts of the body including the brain. It is said that high blood pressure can have negative effects to the brain which causes the latter to respond slower making the head blur or hurt at times. Low blood pressure can also cause dizziness because of the low surge of blood. This may be caused by heart problems or blood problems such as anaemia. Dizziness can be a result of various heart problems. When the heart beats irregularly, people may feel dizzy. This is especially true when the heart rate too slow or too fast. When the heart rate is too slow, not enough blood is being pumped and this can affect many parts of your body. The same is true for condition such as cardiomyopathy where the heart becomes weakened. Dizziness can be a result of brain problems. Examples of these conditions include tumor of the brain and stroke. These problems are also the main cause of migraines and vertigo. Brain problems relating to memory may also cause dizziness such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Even mental problems such as depression and other things that cause a surge of emotions may make one person to become lightheaded. Dizziness can be caused by certain medications. You may be well-aware already that many medications have side effects. Wobbly feeling is often a side effect of medications for high blood pressure and depressive disorders. The same can be said for pain relievers and sedatives. Medications that affect the fluid and electrolyte amounts in the body may also cause light- headedness. Dizziness may emerge from problems in the metabolism. For instance, when you have a low blood sugar level, you will most likely feel dizzy. This is because there is very little sugar that your body can absorb and convert to energy. It is important to maintain a good blood sugar level if you do not want to faint while doing your daily activities. The same can be said for dehydration. If the water level in your blood is too low, this may cause you problems in blood circulation and in removing toxins in your body. SOURCE: http://cliniconomy.com/what-causes-us-to-feel-dizzy/ |
I just heard two girls talking about how they ve used beecham ampiclox to combat against pregnancy after having unprotected sex with their partner. I was confused, because the ampiclox i know is used for infections. Is there any truth in what this girls were talking about beecham ampiclox or is it one of those long wavelength gossips? |

Now , a smartphone case that prints selfies in seconds has been manufactured; A French Company has developed a brand new smartphone case that can print selfies from the phone itself in less than a minute. French start- up Prynt recently presented its smartphone case, which includes a built-in printer. The printer is in turn connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth and can produce a photo in about 50 seconds. The developers say their case will soon be able to print pictures in just 30 seconds, RT.com reported. "At the moment, only one sheet of paper can fit in the case. However, this will soon be increased to up to 30 pieces," Clement Perrot, CEO of Prynt, was quoted as saying. Prynt has been working on the new case since January this year and is planning to launch the smartphone case at the beginning of 2015. The case was developed for four-inch screen smartphones, but the company plans to make models for larger devices — such as the iPhone 6 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Note — in the future. It is priced $99. Moreover, if you take a snap using the Prynt app, it will record a video of the moment before and after you click the photograph. The app will virtually turn your photo into a video that you can view. Source: http://mobimongers..nl/2014/11/wonders-of-technology-newly-invented.html?m=0 |
Recently , WhatsApp quietly introduced a new feature that lets users know that their messages have been read, with the double grey ticks appearing in front of the messages turning blue. And now, just as quietly, the mobile messaging service is letting users of its Android app disable the feature with the rollout of WhatsApp version 2.11.444. This version is available for users on WhatsApp's website for now, and will eventually be rolled out to all users. Here's how you can disable the blue coloured read receipts' with the message timestamp on WhatsApp's Android app: 1. Make sure that your smartphone is running on Android 2.1 or a newer version. 2. Go to settings menu and enable 'Download from Unknown Sources' in the Security tab 3. Go to the WhatsApp website and download the APK (application) file available Here: http://www.whatsapp.com/Android/ 4. Once the APK file is downloaded to your device, 5. Tap the 'Install' option. 6. Now that WhatsApp has been updated, select Settings > Account > Privacy. 7. Under the Privacy tab, un check the Read Receipts option. This feature however doesn't apply to group messages and will let other participants know when you've read a message. Also, once you disable this feature, you won't be able to view blue double-check marks when you send a message as well. The feature that enabled the users to see when their messages were read didn't go down too well with the users and with this update; WhatsApp seems to be taking steps to please users who were not happy with the new feature. Ahh, ahh!!!! Dis boko guys no dy tire? Cant dy see dat dy are not going any wia wit this war? |
think it’s high time we change our false belief on certain things. Over the years so many nutrition myths have cropped up from “God knows where” and it has blocked the ears, eyes and common reasoning of so many individuals, forcing them to believe and also live with false knowledge about the food they eat, the life they live and so many other things. The worst thing that can ever happen to a person is when he/she is not informed because when you are not informed, you are apparently deformed. Lets take a look at some common nutrition myths and also the layed down facts to back it up. Myth 1: Fruit should be eaten on an empty stomach; if it is eaten with other foods it can cause fermentation and rot in the stomach, affecting digestion Fact: Fruit can be eaten at any time and it can be eaten along with other foods. The body produces digestive enzymes for protein, fat, and carbohydrates which help it digest mixed meals. Besides, since the stomach has a high concentration of hydrochloric acid, bacteria is killed before it is able to reproduce so fermentation cannot take place in the stomach. Myth 2: You will get diabetes if you indulge your sweet tooth Fact: If you don’t have diabetes you don’t have to worry about treating yourself to your favorite chocolate cake and ice cream now and then. Sugar won’t directly cause diabetes but consuming excess “empty”calories from these goodies can lead to obesity, an important risk factor for diabetes. Myth 3: All the fat in fish is good fat Fact: Only about 30 per cent of the fat in fish is “good”omega-3 fat (exact percentage varies depending on the type of fish). The rest of the fat in fish is a mixture of “bad” fat which raises your cholesterol, and fat which has no special health benefit and just adds to your calorie consumption. Tuna, for instance, has 23 per cent “good” fat and 33 per cent “bad” fat while salmon has 27 per cent “good” fat and 16 per cent “bad” fat. Myth 4: Sweet cravings are due to a deficiency in your body Fact: You crave sweet foods, particularly when you are under stress, because these foods trigger the release of mood- enhancing compounds in the brain. Myth 5: A glass of wine every day is good for health Fact: Alcohol disrupts folic acid, a B-vitamin with anti-cancer properties, which puts women who drink every day at a higher risk forbreast cancer, compared with women who avoid alcohol altogether. Daily alcohol intake can also be damaging to the liver. However wine — especially red wine — contains antioxidant polyphenols which have beneficial effects against atherosclerosis(cardiovascular disease) and cancer. For non-drinkers, polyphenols are also found in dark chocolate, tea, pomegranates and blueberries. Source: http://cliniconomy.com/nutrition-myths/ |
i hv not heard that before
