Olamide is an exception not the rule. And 5 years ago, and even now, Olamide's lyrics are still ok when you listen to his albums (at least I have all on my system).

Yesterday, I listened to P Square's Omoge Mi album. Truth is, I almost cried because I was nostalgic about all the songs. I even left what I was doing to sing, dance and mime Temptation.

The truth is, good music and lyrics would trump beats and hits in the long run any time any day. And that's one of the reasons that Asa is currently Nigeria's best export at the moment in the industry. Or should I remind you that she once won the Next Rated award too with only Adaba as the single she had released at that time?

Let me ask a simple question; which massive Hit have you heard from R. Kelly in the last 3 years? If none comes to mind, go pick up copies of his last 3 albums (minus Black Panties) and you'll weep for the Nigerian music industry.

Asa is a boss in our industry, Timi dakolo, Cobahms, and the new guy Adekunle-gold singing good songs without any ill-word... p-square don drift far singing nothing again... I miss those days we listen to good song that pass message major reason my best acts are Asa, Tuface, Sound-sultan, Timi, and of course Adekunle.gold..
