That's d thing that disappoints me about this forum.
we all claim to be educated but get unnecessarily emotional over religious or ethnic issues.

My point was and is....I don't mind a president from the SE. However, it won't be handed to you on the basis of rotation. SE &SS do not constitute enough votes to get it.

Move out, form alliances with other regions. It would take a lot of work, might not even happen in 4years.

The way the SE is politricking is not working and the sooner they change it the better.

I hate to say this but the SW has enjoyed favourable political patronage since 1999. When GEJ realised he needed the SW, he was going up and down bribing, it was too late for him.

Why didn't he do that much in the SE? Cos the SE is taken for granted and they don't exercise their strength.

Someone once said if you stand for nothing....you fall for anything (or something like that).

Well my point is, the SE thinks it's about time they produce a Nigerian president. I do too but it's not going to be handed to them on a platter.

They need to go out and work for it....I mean work hard.

They need to pair up with either the west or the north. they r not talking to the north and they r busy fighting the western guys over Lagos.

Now, a new govt would be constituted by a party the SE didn't vote for. It's back to square one.

What amazes me is that the best the SE got under the Pdp in the past 16yrs is the Senate president office....and they still keep voting Pdp.

How does that work?

My friend told me this story, asking for my advice but I don't know what to say, maybe u guys can help.

She has a colleague at work. They are friends but dude has been showing some signs she doesn't get.
He refers or calls her my babe, even at work. He has a gf o.
He calls her at work everyday to talk about irrelevant things. Same company but different units.sometimes he calls her first thing in the morning
He always wants to know her whereabouts & who she's talking to when they r together. If she says it's none of his biz, he gets upset
He asks her opinion about issues, career, car etc
if she admires something say a car, he says he would buy it for her. he's always in her biz
He eavesdrops on her phone conversations
this has been ongoing for a while, like 6 months

Me, I don't know wat he wants. Should she ask him or just continue to watch him.

This proves three things:
1. Nigeria is such a useless country, we had 4 yrs to prepare for this election & now with just 7 days it's postponed.

2. GEJ is probably the worst president ever. Can't he control the military? What couldn't be controlled in 5yrs, they want to do in 6 weeks?

Intelligence & humility

I am a pretty good looking and highly intelligent. I had a first class in schl also. I am fairly religious with an alright job.

Pple ask me why am I not married at 31. Cos I'm Ss and I avnt met an AA guy. No one understands me. I've not been in a relationship since 2010.

All my toasters just happen to be AS. Its so frustrating. My frienda are married and only they understa my dilemma, even my family doesn't.

I am tired....do i just hook an AS guy and hope for the best? Or do I just hook any AA guy that comes along even if I dont like him? Or do I just wait?

Hi, straight to the point.
I have a great guy friend. We talk a lot..come to work together & go home together from work. I've known him for quite a while.
He invited me to his house & I went. We had a great time...chatted, watched tv, hugged. No kissing or any other form of intimacy. He did try but I rebuffed him. I told him we r just friends..and nothing could happen between us cos he had a gf although i cared about him.

Then he invited me again...and he stood me up! He didn't pick my calls and two days later he called me saying he just wanted to be alone for a few days!!!

I was disappointed...should I?

Is it wrong to want to be just friends with a guy that has a gf?

Bossforeva: Bro! Abeg get urself a 2003-2007 Corolla LE. There are millions of people outside Nairaland using this vehicle that have never complained. Few people complaining about the ECU on Nairaland, doesn't mean you'll complain when you get urs. I know of a man that uses the Corolla S version. His driver had an accident with that. Within few weeks he replaced it with a same make, a Corolla LE version. Go for it. That people havn't complained of a Yaris here, shows few Nairalander like "190" uses it. Meanwhile you are a guy, what should you be doing behind the wheels of yaris.

Hi...I want to get a car. My first car.
Now I'm confused as I can't decide which is better. I'm looking at a Toyota yaris or the corolla. They are both within my budget(1.5mn -1.8mn)
