I want to know if there is any very negative implications in the future of not using the Canadian visa if and when granted.

There shouldn't be any negative implications. For future applications, you can write a letter of explanation and attach your admission letter to satisfy their curiosity.

I applied for canada visit visa January 15 online and I got a mail today for procedural fairness to be replied in 15days. .it was stated that I did not indicate that I was refused USA visa ...which I am 100 percent sure that I did tick it and I stated in the form that I was refused USA and UK but without explanation. PLEASE HOW WILL I GO ABOUT IT.

Do you still have the form? You should cross check to be sure you actually ticked it before replying. If you haven't modified the form since submission you can send it along with your reply.

I was surprised and quickly checked the copy of the application form l submitted. l ticked no after reading "have you ever been refused a visa to Canada' and did not see 'or any other country'.truly speaking l didn't see it if not l would have stated it. maybe because l assumed it's like USA application form that asks for USA only without other countries. I know U.K. asks in their form which l always tick yes with reason.My only visa denial was U.K. like 8 yrs ago and l later got 6months,2years and presently 5 yrs now, l also have valid US visa. It was when I was asking for receipt of a fee I was yet to pay that he remembered I had not paid. had to wait till the next day for banks to open so I could pay the visa fees.

What I am thinking is how someone can apply for a Visa and not pay Visa fee at the point of application.

Thank you oga boss. I think I agree with Kokorita though. I am supposed to be sponsored on the trip but was yet to get the sponsorship letter. The organization had also not sent the name of the hotel we will stay in Toronto. The same organization sponsored all of my previous trips and I put that proof in my application. I plan to reapply before the end of the week though.

What you just talked about is futuristic and falls under "Purpose of Visit". Travel history talks about past trips. Since purpose of visit is not ticked I have to believe that its because of a past event e.g. you "needlessly" traveling with your wife for past business conferences.

Getting a Canadian Visa is not sheer luck or an act of random occurrence. It's all about purpose and proper planning. I thought you head the operations of the organization in Nigeria? Why didn't you push for the documents before applying?

Hello folks, I picked up my passport yesterday from the VSF with a rejection letter. Let me explain my application. I am planning to visit Toronto by end of April with my wife for a conference organized by an global volunteer organization that I head the Nigerian operations. On the rejection letter, they said we do not have sufficient travel history. Meanwhile, I have visited Tanzania, Ghana, South Korea, South Africa and Argentina. I also have transit visas for Kenya, South Africa, China and Egypt. My wife has visited South Korea, South Africa, Dubai, Argentina and USA. She also has transit visas for South Africa, China and Egypt (We usually travel together). We have also never been rejected for a visa application so this is a big hit. My wife now hates Canada (lol) and has refused to reapply. I am reapplying because the organization has already paid for my flight and hotel and I can't let this waste.

I do not know what we did not do right but I plan to reapply before the end of the week. I will be happy if anyone can give me pointers of what I may have done wrong and what I can improve on in my next application.

I believe they ticked "Travel History". This doesn't mean that you haven't travelled. It could mean that they have issues with the way you travelled.

Police certificate is not usually required for a Visitors visa except you indicated that you have a criminal record.

I just received message from my profile that I am giving procedural fairness on my application.

I was refused in 2014 but while I was filled the application form in 2016 it was an error i put " NO" in a column where was asked Have you refused a visa or an entry before.

The entry officer now referred to the column.

Kindly assist on what to do, i was giving 10 days to respond and how can i reply back is it by mail or courier.

You can reply stating that it's was error. Try to explain how the error occured and please only answer the concerns raised.

As for submission, it's stated there that you have 10 days to respond electronically. If they did not create a document upload request in your CIC account then you should use the email address provided in the letter to respond.

Reading the letter, it's obvious that they already have sufficient evidence. Their request for a response is just hear from you. This will further tell them the kind of person you are.

Personally I think the best option would be to apologize and tell them you accept the ban. Your honesty would go a long way especially for future applications. Sometimes the only way out is through.

@glowithdan. You are encouraged to ensure that there are no mistakes in your forms before submission. Inaccuracy has denied a good number of people visas.

There's usually not much you can do once you submit your application. However, try contacting them using the case enquiry form or through emails if you so desire. Kindly let us know their response.

Please don't be confused by US and Canada Visa policies

Canada visitors visa can span from a few weeks to a couple of years. The visa will not exceed your passport's date of expiry. Please note that even if your passport is valid for 5 years, the Visa officer can still decide to issue you with a month's visa.

If you have about 6 months or less left on your passport, you can have that passport cancelled and a new one issued before you apply.

It's at the discretion of the Visa officer. It will however not exceed your passport expiry date.
