Music/RadioRe: 'Kaya' and 'Uprising' By Bob Marley by jayflex: 8:41am On Nov 19, 2009
These two albums are considered by critics and fans alike to be the greatest bob marley albums. They were the last two albums of his career and were his most spiritual and inspiring works. He was at the peak of his career and gave a spellbinding performance.

Those albums especially ''Uprising'' helped my butt through some trying times. Tracks on the album like - ''redemption song'', ''could you be loved'', ''bad card'', ''coming in from the cold'', ''zion train'' etc are excellent to say the least.

@Babapupa - see your post ''You're sounding like a paranoid loser my friend. Get a life, ''

Its clear you have nothing to say or contribute to on this thread but negativity and insults. It says a lot about a person above 18 who comes to a public forum and can only mumble words like ''get a life, loser etc.You have not made any sense or contributed in any way. Hmmm maybe you ARE 18
Music/RadioRe: Alban Finally Talks On Dbanj by jayflex: 3:22pm On Nov 18, 2009
I cant believe some of the stuff I'm reading here. Little d'banj shows disrespect to Dr. alban and ppl are justifying it. Damn. maybe y'all are 18 years old or something, if so i dont blame you,but I was old enough to groove Dr. alban's music and i tell you he was the MAN!!

When MTV wasnt too open to black music his mega hits like ''its my life'' and ''hello africa'' were rocking Europe and getting mega air and club play and sales as far back as 1991. unfortunately we Nigerians have a problem with our values. you make a little money, get some fame, have unilag chicks screaming your name and suddenly you're a god. I cant imagine Tic tac (Ghana) being rude to Reggie Rockstone or the hottest senegalese artiste now being rude to youssou n'dour. Thats madness in a sane society

@chosen04

Biafra or not lets be pragmatic about the fact that we ARE in nigeria right now. If there was a Biafra many of us would still live in naija and those attacks would not end. Rather we should focus on preventing anymore  massacre of our people.

see your post - ''I don't even thing you know the meaning of bigoted''

You stumble on a post and once you see anything concerning Igbo interest (whether or not it negatively affects you) you start posting shit. dont tell me about ''getting a life''. look for another post to foul up cos you've got nothing to say
PoliticsRe: What Igbos Need Most. We Don't Need Biafra by jayflex: 10:10am On Nov 18, 2009
@Babapupa

Nobody asked your rancid bigoted ass for an an opinion. Igbos have been murdered in their thousands for NOTHING you f, ker. If you are not affected by regular massacres of your kinsmen you have no business twiddling your thumbs and typing anal retentive bullshit about those who are. This is what starts long threads of hatred and abuse.
EventsRe: World Largest Gospel Concert In Nigeria by jayflex: 9:54am On Nov 18, 2009
while some people will attend the experience and by faith really ''experience'' God and his goodness some people will forever fall prey to the devil and talk about ''prosperity pastors'' and all that nonsense. without faith you cant please God so to those who dont want to praise God and be blessed dont be used to douse the enthusiasm of others with your words!!!
PoliticsRe: What Igbos Need Most. We Don't Need Biafra by jayflex: 9:41am On Nov 18, 2009
Nwanne. Security measures have been in place since 1991. Though there's room for improvement, the adventurous spirit of ndigbo makes it very difficult to keep them tightly shacked up in enclaves and when all those genocidal beasts start their madness its unfortunate that some of us are exposed to it.

But if its self defence I witnessed first-hand a brutal counter-attack by igbo youths against the sharia mobs in kaduna. I was on the rooftops of a building in Federal Polytechnic Kaduna overlooking a spare parts market that had been burnt to the ground. some youths came back to salvage what they could from the shops and encountered some remnants of the mob and a fight ensued. To cut a long story short the mob were surprised  that the igbo youths were well armed and none of the mob survived it. Have you noticed that igbo casualties have declined with other southern tribes bearing the brunt of attacks nowadays.

PoliticsRe: Ojukwu Made Biafra Fail? by jayflex: 3:35pm On Oct 26, 2009
Elder Uwechue hit the nail on the head and said what many people have been shy to talk about. Ojukwu was a hugely gifted and amazing leader at the beginning of the struggle but power went to his head and he messed up the war effort by becoming a dictator/politician and a very slimy one at that. How can a people fighting a war also live in fear of being branded ''sabo'' (saboteurs) and shot because they aired their opinions about the way the war was going. To cement his position he isolated the finest igbo officers who had served in the nigerian army and embraced men like Joe Achuzia who spent half the time back-biting people he felt threatened by and looking pretty for the camera. Ojukwu was our leader and his place in history is set in stone but he ultimately let his flaws take over. Ndi Igbo have always have a democratic spirit and we will never fall prey to the herd mentality of ''the leader is always right''. Lets be honest he made Biafra fail

PoliticsRe: Ngige, Soludo Or Obi: Who Would You Choose As Your Candidate And Why? by jayflex: 10:35am On Oct 19, 2009
It is an accepted fact that Ngige was handpicked and put in the seat of governor to milk the state dry. ngige was by no means liked by anyone when he came in but the world knows the turnaround and the overwhelming endorsement of Ngige by the ENTIRE CITIZENRY of Anambra and support that to me legitmised him more than any blasted election. For a governor to run a state under siege, to have all security details withdrawn and still deliver shows that he was safe in the state among people who loved him. His case is one in a million like fashola but i dont think the state can afford any more gambles. F, K PDP

PoliticsRe: Ngige, Soludo Or Obi: Who Would You Choose As Your Candidate And Why? by jayflex: 9:39am On Oct 19, 2009
@ McKren

Ngige was, is and will always be for the development of the state's infrastructure ie. road construction which he achieved by a revolutionary synergy of direct labour and etablished construction firms that fixed the road that leads from Niger bridge head all the way to ihiala. this in small measure provided thousands of jobs for thousands of disenfrachised youth, Reopening of schools that had been shut for two years under mbadinuju and payment of two years unpaid teachers salaries, payment of all civil servants arrears that stretched back more than three years under the mbadinuju administration., transparency that was unheard of in the state for a governor, despite how badly OBJ wanted to nail him the EFCC couldnt build any case against him, smashing of autocracy and godfatherism and most importantly THE UNITY of THE PEOPLE OF ANAMBRA STATE. Ngige set a standard that no one believed was possible until he came on board.

Soludo on the other hand picked up his nomination form in the company of Anenih and Solomon Lar. Who endorsed him and automatically branded him an Abuja slave because we know the role of those two men during the dark days betweem 1999 and 2003.  Anambra people are very savvy about such things these days since mbadinuju.

Obi has not done Jack except slowly trying to finish things Ngige started. fine he manages to pay salaries on time but that is nothing special. He should try administering to the state, building roads and paying three years salries backlog with the monthly federal allocation cut off and without police protection, then maybe he can be looked as more than a child of fortune
PoliticsRe: Ngige, Soludo Or Obi: Who Would You Choose As Your Candidate And Why? by jayflex: 8:20am On Oct 19, 2009
Ngige in a second. He was the one that opened our eyes to all of the evil that was going on and no one could talk about. People talk crap about how he was part of the rot. yes he swore an oath at okija shrine but he turned his back on it and the reverberations of his act paved the way for obi. Those who really know anambra's history will tell you that EVERY thing in the state ground to a halt. Ngige started an unprecedented turn around that Obi has not been able to effectively build on. Soludo is an Abuja slave and we have had enough of them. Obi is not really a bad man he's just better off as a deputy governor because he hasnt got any political will and thats dangerous because Anambra needs a man of action. Give us Ngige please
PoliticsRe: MEND Say No More Ceasefire: by jayflex: 5:32pm On Oct 16, 2009
MEND have proven that they truly have a cause that is bigger than themselves. While slaves like boyloaf and the other fake freedom fighters are cashing in big time at Aso Rock, the people who really want change for their people are back to the trenches. I just wish the FG would wake up and stop believing that it will all go away like a bad dream. the days of imbalance and exploitation are over. Either they address whats wrong with the system or risk a major insurgency in the ND.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Man Utd Fans: John O'shea Is The Most Important Man In The Team by jayflex: 5:14pm On Oct 16, 2009
@ Sauron

are you talking about the same O'shea? On 4 February 2007, during league game against Tottenham Hotspur, O'Shea deputised for Edwin van der Sar in goal after the van der Sar was taken off the pitch for a broken nose, while Manchester United had already used all three substitutes. During this time he denied his Republic of Ireland teammate Robbie Keane a goal with a save a few minutes before full time. Following this incident, United fans chanted "Ireland's number one" in O'Shea's honour.

A month later he won over many United fans by scoring an injury time winner against Liverpool at Anfield for United in the league, having come on as a substitute for Wayne Rooney. This goal was important in United going on to regain the Premiership trophy for the 2006–07 season. He also rescued us against Everton in one of the final games of the season, when he bundled the ball in the net after Everton goalkeeper Iain Turner fumbled a Ryan Giggs corner. United went on to win 4–2. This was perhaps an even more decisive goal, as Bolton were drawing with Chelsea at the same time and defeat would have let Chelsea back into the title race. He scored another goal from close range, in a 2–1 defeat away to Portsmouth that season, this goal came during an injury hit part of the season, were O'Shea, as a versatile player, was required to play at full back. O'Shea had a shooting accuracy of 100% and scored with 80% of his shots in the 2006–07 season. Some recent heroics include his scoring the only goal against the 'arsenal in last season's champs league quarter final first leg.

Surely dude it cant be same guy
PoliticsRe: MEND Say No More Ceasefire: by jayflex: 3:18pm On Oct 16, 2009
I have always supported any call for a fundamental change in the structure of Nigeria because it is about time. This country cannot truly make genuine progress if it continues being run like a unitary nation. True federalism is what will bring peace to naija, its so obvious but shameful that the punks in power dont want to let go of 100% control of all parts of the federation. They wont let go because of one factor = OIL!!!
MEND knows this and they want to make sure that everything related to exploitation of the oil is grounded.

What i find scary is that they waited till all the kidnappers, rapists, jobless youth and freelance thugs gave themselves up to get some amnesty goodies before restating their resolve. People should be wary of a more compact, assymetric and coordinated MEND this time around. I just pray the Govt maggots move positively before things get out of hand.

No be lie sha. The guy too much. throughout last season when gary neville was injured we didnt even remember that O'shea wasnt the first choice for right back. He did a lot to help the team break the record of keeping clean sheets. Remember in 2006/7 season , his holding midfield role partnershipwith paul scholes devastated teams everywhere and he would have kept that role if not the signing of carrick and his synergy with scholes. remember his goal in champions league last season that got the team to the next stage even though he was playing as a right back. the list is endless. I'd rather have O'shea than tevez, he's loyal and doesnt talk too much

People, I just started work on the island and have adopted BRT as my pet means of transport. On my first day on it, I happened to conveniently take a seat right next to a light skinned, plump, vision of bliss beauty. We got talking and I was bowled over by the babe's gentle ways, soothing voice and ummmm her booty too? We happened to live in the same neighborhood and ended up riding home together. Incredibly we have been meeting at the same bus stop everyday for the last five days and i've gotten quite fond of the honey. She didnt seem to mind me too, errrrrrr at least till told me she had a guy after i asked her. I know its really low but i dont give a shit, I send am pieces !! Only thing is that her guy is a wildly jealous individual as i've gathered. Someone please knock my head slap me but please advise me.

Thanks. Its terrible to be hurt and betrayed by someone you trust but it's satisfying to find out that you were headed down a terribly wrong path. I've since dusted myself off and am ok now. i've got lots of options now but I aint getting carried away. Meanwhile the girl's wedding never took off I hear. Maybe the guy found out she was a witch. lol
PoliticsRe: "Igbos Are Not Our Enemies, We Need Their Number" – Asari Dokubo by jayflex: 7:29am On Jul 16, 2009
Dokubo's statement at least shows a shift in a previously anti-igbo mindset he had, its going to be interesting to see if his view will hold any water especially as there's been over forty years of hatred and distrust of igbos in the south-south. The north played an excellent divide and rule game that has outlasted the civil war for 39 years
PoliticsRe: Open Letter To Governor Fashola-on Roads, tax & Other Issues by jayflex: 7:11am On Jul 16, 2009
If fashola was in a developed country he would be scored 50/100 not 100/100 as we easy to please naija folk have scored him. The man is more interested in making lagos okay for rich people than. Every leader should face the basic issues like food and shelter for the poor not threatening them with repatriation out of town if they cant afford to stay
