Leave it till visa is decided. If possible till you get the passport in your hand.

What actually is the embassy confirming. Is it the balance on the account or to verify that the account statement you uploaded is original?

Both… originality and balance.. and they don’t do it for everybody. It’s either random or if they suspect something in the account or documents

So do you think it's possible a bank branch might not know if an account has been verified by ukvi? Or is there a central log on an account for such information that is easily accessible no matter the branch?

Haa.. I’m not working at UKVI (yet) lol, I actually dont know if they verify with the branches… feels more like the headquarters

It’s usually in the first 4 days of your biometrics. If they delay in responding to them. They’ll send non-straightforward.

I doubt, most VI tls are having delays, abj tls, 23rd have gotten pick up email. I know of two persons that did 23rd sept.. Av received pick up email.

Yh Abuja is moving fast. Can’t just wait for this thing to come, I’ll sleep for 24hrs straight.

Did you do walk-in or you had appointment… just trying to decipher this thing. Maybe they make walk-in’s wait longer

Hi, I have finally found someone going to Derby. I am September intake too, I also applied for visa since on the 22nd of September and i am yet to get my visa. I wish i could also defer my admission but i think that's impossible. pls have you gotten your visa?

Why don’t you just book your flight for 6th or 7th with faith, get everything ready. If you get it, you fly out immediately. Really sad we have to go through this , for a service we paid for.

Hello guys my biometrics is on Tuesday (super priority service) my question is I lost my Waec certificate which I used to get admission from my school (Chester ) and I already go to the court to make an avvidavit of lost document, please my question is can i make use of the online print out and attach a scratch card?? You don’t have a scanned copy of your waec certificate? How did you upload to Chester ?

Guys, I did my biometrics last week but I didnt pay for courier service. I really wish I had. Because I just realised how difficult it would be to go back to pick my passport. Is there a way to change it? Any hope?

You can pay for courier after, when your passport is ready for collection. But I heard it takes longer time for it to get to you. Like a few extra days

On my student visa and reason stated was Just that they didn't contact the bank at all or possibly because I used a MFB. Please @justwise @scooby what do you think I should do. While tracking my application, I discovered it's still showing still at DMC. Can I still put in for Jan intake for same school or another school. But what surprised me is that even the school contacted the bank for my POF and issued me a CAS. They even sent me a mail before contacting the bank and now I'm been refuse based on using MFB. I called my course advisor and she asked me few question and suggested I send a mail to the school compliance team which I did and I was told to State reason for the denial which I stated but they told me to await their response by Monday.Someone also told me I can request for a new CAS from same school without paying another tuition fee but I really don't know how true this is. Please house what do you advise I do and what do you think could be the cause for the refusal.Thank you all as I await our response. @justwise @scooby please I need your advise and assistance in sorting this out and way forward. God bless you sir/ma

I’ll advice you to just transfer the money to another bank account that is more trusted. Recount the money and apply for January. Administrative review will take too long.

Must the money you need to show in your bank statement reach 28 days before you submit your visa application
In the event that you have submitted the visa application already and paid all the compulsory fees including priority fee but haven’t picked a date for biometrics yet because you want to begin the count again due to a miscalculation


What can you do to rectify this please

Should the application be cancelled or just do a letter to explain that the funds were not complete as as at when you submitted because of a miscalculation on your part but by the time you went for biometrics it was complete (I intend to pick a biometrics date for October 15th when the money is complete 28 days)
Would the priority fee be returned if I cancel and apply when the money is complete

Please help.

Hmm.. I heard they use the date of the visa application to start the counting .. but I’m not sure it’s absolutely true

I saw on Google that standard Visa is £348GBP.
So if Priority Visa is £220, then how much is the standard?

I really wish I could understand why this is happening. The clock is ticking on my schools latest arrival date. Since I submitted, I only got the email from TLS that it has been transferred to DMC same day. On the tracker, transfered to DMC on the 24th. It's been radio silent since then.

No interview.

I declare my family in the uk and stated I will only spend quarantine at their place and gave their residence permit number. The wait no be hear. I think non straight forward mail comes mostly from the bank. I used a uk bank account belonging to my parent and it was very fast. Most of this Nigeria banks don't reply their mail from UKVI I think so. I thank God this time my only sure plug was God.

I remember my passport took 2 months after getting a plug at immigration office she collected express fee for one week. Also transcript took 2 months after greasing palm and all that. I was really frustrated, but was surprised how quick the visa application went. I give thanks to God and pray for anyone waiting May God give divine acceleration to your application.

For those contemplating on VI or Abuja, choose Abuja especially this time if you're in a hurry. Thanks to everyone who answered my questions and everyone who's experience gave me knowledge. Thanks alot justwise and the rest gurus.

Congratulations! And guys, see that he didn’t get the BRP delay mail and still got his visa. So if you didn’t get it, just try and be calm. It’ll all work out well.

Depends on the school. Varies by schools, ask them for their policy
