I got this email from UKVI last Friday and up till now , no mail from both UKVI and TLS, does it mean that my application is successful. Is there any cause for alarm?

Was it after the mail you sent? It means they need more time to verify your information. If it’s also possible to get intouch with your bank, if they got a mail from UKVI and urge them to respond to it.

Unilag will ask you for the address to send it to. So you’ve to give them step by step guide on how to access your application portal. So the link for the portal is what you’ll send to them and your log in details.

If you didn’t get an automated response, try using another email address

Hello everyone, this question is for the unilag graduates. Please how did you send your transcripts to schools you apply to, because I am applying to several schools and it is now mandatory for Unilag to send it to the school you are applying to ,and it costs a lot. Please advise. Thanks.

Check the schools application page you want to apply to… upload a random document and see if you can download it back or view atleast. If it’s possible, give that school link to Unilag, when they upload your transcript there, then you can go and download it and have it for yourself.

Did my own biometric on the 22nd Sept. (VI TLScontact), also priority and got the same email today. Asked a mate that got her visa recently and according to her, some pple get such email too and later got their VISA. It will end well.

If you can get intouch with your bank and ask if they got a mail from UKVI, and urge them to reply on time.

Good morning, thank you for this information. I lecture in a state polytechnic and I got full sponsorship for Msc in UK from TETFUND. I showed my university the sponsorship letter and I was issued CAS. Whether they have received school fees or not, the university asked me not to bother about that. They just issued my CAS.

I submitted the CAS and my sponsorship letter, academic transcript etc for my visa application September 27th for priority service. This morning I received email that they can’t process my application within that time frame because they need additional information. They didn’t specify what additional information exactly, they just said we need additional information and we will contact you if we need anything from you. They probably just need to speak to your sponsors to confirm your sponsorship.. probably your sponsors haven’t responded in time. You said you did your biometrics when?

I just got admission to 2 universities in the UK and they call it conditioner offer, I am required to pay £2,000 as part payment, the entire tuition is about £20,840 for the whole 12months of study, the current conversion rate is £1 - - - - - ₦740
My question is, how are Nigerians studying abroad able to meet up with their tuition fee.

Lol.. I’ll just advice you to look for a school with way lesser tuition if you’re already asking this question. £20000 is quite high

Depends on the school you’re applying to and it’s location, it will determine how much their tuition cost and living expenses.

A friend introduced me to nairaland after what happened to me last year in the hands of so-called agents. I am a lecturer in LASU, I got sponsorship from Tetfund for my MSc. They have paid my tuition to my school abroad. They paid the maintenance 8.5m to my account. I have done my biometrics ( standard) last week. I paid for assisted services and I went with everything but the took sponsorship letter, passport and others stated in my CAS. I asked about my bank statement the lady said I don't need it since I am on sponsorship.

Please my brothers and sisters, I need your advice on
1) Can I use that my bank statement to apply for my husband and daughter as dependent after Visa issued.
2) Or I transfer it to my husband account to apply while still in Nigeria

Finally, it's my turn to testify! My story with UKVI is finally loaded, done and dusted! I've been quite busy since last week to pen this down.
Priority Service, Walk in
Application: 02/09

I went to TLS Ikeja on 02/09/21 to get a space for walkin the next day, even though I haven't even applied for Visa yet, I haven't even gotten my CAS by then! I requested for my bank statement and got same around 6pm, while at TLS. I forwarded same to my school and received my CAS around 8pm same night. There and then at TLS, I started the application, finished and paid all the fees, got 15/09 as my date but had planned walk in the next day 03/09. My school agent adviced that since I didn't perform any transaction on my day1, I shouldn't use that bank statement as some people were recently refused cos the ECO mistaken used the dates of transaction instead of the dates stated as the acct summary dates, but I refused and went ahead to use same statement, running from 05/08 to 02/09. After the NSFM and wahala recounted earlier, the waiting was something else. 5working days turned to 15working days. Every day was excruciatingly painful and filled with anxiety, only those who have experienced it will understand. Thanks to @corpershaun, I sent a mail to Pretoria on 22/08 which resulted in getting my collection mail the next day. Truly, what God cannot do does not exist!

For those still waiting, just hold your peace and be positive.

DON'T TOUCH YOUR FUNDS TILL YOUR VISA IS OUT OR YOUR ACCOUNT IS VERIFIED, WHICHEVER COMES EARLIER!

Congratulations! I believe it’s the delay in all these bank verifications that is leading to all these non-straightforward mail.

The application state if I was traveling with my dependants, they choose the No answer and secondly
They used an account statement of 12m on my application and I got the visa. After I got the visa, instead of advising me to transfer the fund to my dependant account,they said I should print the same account statement I used but this time it should be a different date.i did so,my dependants applied and they were refused. Because of that my Visa was cancelled with a ten years band.
I was invited for an interview,I told them it was my agent that handle the application and that was what I was advised to do.it was still a refusal but this time the ten years band was cancelled .someone introduced me to narialand, have really learnt a lot here.

Wow! I guess you should just apply for a school in January as soon as you can, since deadlines are close. Maybe avoid schools asking for reason for previous denial, as it can lead to offer rejection.

Getting recommendations might be hard in a short time, except you’re using ‘to whom it may concern’. So you can apply to schools you previously applied to and use the same recommendations.

It depends on the other kind of people you meet there. If y’all cooperate and arrange yourselves they’ll start attending to you guys as early as 9am. There is usually a spill over list from the previous week tho. So it’s advisable to go very early and write your name.

Accounts like PiggyVest can fly.. or well know investments. But it’s safer to have it in liquid cash.

My spouse has been having a challenge with the school she applied to ,she has been asked to either defer or terminate admission if she's not able to upload her Visa page by 27th of September 2021 to complete enrollment.

She has fulfilled all of their previous asking to complete enrollment which was the additional 50%(5k+) after initial deposit of £ 3k.


Her Visa application is ongoing and she just did her biometrics on the 22nd(priority) . What do you suggest we do here ?

We've sent different mails to the admission team and it seems there's nothing they can do from their end . They insist visa page must be uploaded on the 27th.

With that slim deadline.. you would have opted for super priority. But I’ll advise you should just defer to January, it’ll even give you more time to prepare, get good housing and also make good travel arrangements.

What?? It is the same one I have. But the UKVI rules say you can use a student loan letter as POF. Is it because of the condition in foot prints on the attached letter you were refused? I think you should get the school involved and/or ask for administrative review.

I am really sorry about this for you. This is making me unsettled because I planned to apply on Tuesday.



So that I and other people here can learn from your experience, please I would need additional clarification from you. Prodigy Finance is regulated by the FCA and the rules say the company granting the loan should be regulated by the FCA. Why then are they rejecting it? What then is the way forward? Would an additional letter from your school confirming acceptance of the loan from Prodigy Finance and advance disbursement help or would have helped?

People that are actually getting real loans are being sidelined… making the buying of POF dominant. I believe you should actually get a letter or advice from the school.

I did priority for myself main applicant standards for the 4 dependants. I got a non straightforward mail exactly 5 days after on the 1st of September.
I just got a collection mail this evening 24th sept
everything moved so fast between 3pm to 6pm.

That’s basically 29days+ on priority?? Congratulations… make sure you celebrate it abeg.

I think you should just go back during the next break or holiday in your study and do the wedding. Then she can apply for a dependent visa. I’ll advice you do it within the first 6 months of your study, because she can’t come as dependent during your post study period

The delay is mostly from VAC (TLS in this case), they don't sort and transfer on time. You would notice that a decision is usually made within 5 working days by UKVI. If there will be a delay, UKVI will inform. The weapon you have is to complete TLS's survey and give feedbacks.

Yh I think I noticed the non straightforward mail usually comes within the first 5 days, meaning the delay will be coming from UKVI
