#Respect! Who are you, sir? Journalist? I've been reading your stuff. Impressive knowledge of the League.
*Smiles*
Thanks for the components.
I m not a journalist ;
I d rather be addressed as an NPFL fanboy.
I remember quoting you days back asking if there was a CHAN thread,th Enyeama vs Oliseh fracas made me not to bother visiting this thread because the argument went on and on.
I stuck up with the u23 thread instead...
I just love our home based lads.
And I know we have enough talent here
Players like MBA Uzuenyi and Obuabona rather than make their way to our top four teams and improve our chances of winning CAF xompetitions chose to move to obscure leagues in Europe and look at what they are today.
Peter Ebimobowei is now shuttling between clubs in Egypt after been dumped by al ahly someone that was amongst our top scorers last season.
Emem Uduok has been neither here nor there for Esperance
Same would have happened to RabiuAli of kano Pillars had he not returned from his sojourn to Asia.
Our League just Needs Sponsors and I hope LMC continues to thejr good works ... State governments should properly fund clubs ,appoint proper professionals rather than politicians as Club Chairman .or simply sell these clubs to private investors.
It's a pity that foreign based bench warmers get the nod ahead of home based pros who feature regularly for their club sides...
Players Usman Mohammed deserves a place in that super eagles squad,he showed his class against Niger ,He doesn't necessarily have to be a starter ,let him fight for his place in the team .

Okay take a look at SHehu Abdulahi mfd
who played in our last friendly against Cameroon Last year SHehu was in the kano Pillars squad that won the league.
This guy wasn't half as good as his his counterpart in the team Rabiu Ali and it was proven in the 2013 CHAN tournament when RAbiu put up an exceptional display .
Today the lesser talent SHehu Abdulahi now plays in an unknown club in Portugal and makes the SEagles call ups while RAbiu ALi who is by my count the highest scoring MFD in the league cannot make the team. What message has this passed to the players in the league other than do well go here and move abroad before hoping for an SEagles call up.
Steven keshi showed us that it could work when he started in 2013 and gave both sets of players equal opportunities in the team ,as time went on some of these players moved abroad and he never bothered to make fresh recruits tr r po m the league .
Players like Reuben Gabriel moved to Kilmarnock Oboabona who already had three freekick goals for Sunshine and 1 in a Nations cup qualifier against Rwanda or so moved to Bursaspor MBA Sunday MBa moved to one third division french side..
Ejike Uzuenyj move to Momolodu Sondows (you go fear name naa ....lol)
Of recent the likes of DAniel Apeyi, Emem uduok
etc.....
The question remains, apart from financial improvement which is the main catalyst for the exodus of our players to obscure leagues in what other aspects have they improved since leaving the shores of this country.

BascoVanVeli:

Salami is a ok but he isn't even the best on his team. They win just fine when he goes on national team duty.
Look here BascoVanVeli your knowledge of the NPFL isn't encouraging, to say tge least....
Did you just say Gbolahun isn't the best player in Warri Wolves?
GbolahunSalami has been the most consistent NPFL player for the past two years and his consistency has also shown in his SEagles performances.
Gbolahun salami has got 15 goals already this season.
Gbolahun has four solid goals this month alone and today being
October 14th one could comfortably say this mont has just begun.....
He has just shot his team into contention for the league title ..
Meanwhile Aggreh's Sunshine are battling for a Continental spot ...NOTE! they aren't title contenders .
And you say Aggreh is the best in the league ?
Aggreh cannot even boast of being the in his club Sunshine Stars .Forget the media hype TUNDE ADENIJI has been more influential to the team's success followed by Paul ONOBI.
You claimto have good knowledge of the NPFL yet I ve never seen a post made in your name on the NPFL thread.
Stop the deceit n just stick to your foreign leagues instead of making wrong assertions .

Thank you.

I saw that post of his.OXYGEN01 is a clown.
So i didn't bother quoting him.
Aggreh is NPFL 's revelation of the season and has the highest assist for his club .

I am really looking forward to watching Prince Aggrey to me he has been the best player in the Nigerian league hands down.
He z good but gbolahun salami has been the best so far....
As for me i d love to see Ezekiel BASESEY ...dubbed the Nigerian Hazard.
Both of them are wingers and possess good crossing abilities though Ezekiel is a better dribbler .beats three markers at a go ...Aggreh has the speed and the eye for goal.

I called STELLA ODUAH, who the thread focused on, as a beautiful angel. And also, how does my response prove that am not MAUPE OGUN. Haven't you ever heard of SPEAKING IN THE 3RD PERSON
I like the fact that you have taken up a technical stance on this issue and have not rested to diatribes like the typical Nairalander.
You cannot possibly be her,and register with your first name 'Maupe' .No popular Nigerian personality have done so on this forum .Not even FFK who is a regular here .
So here goes the question ..Are you MAUPE OGUN?

Your argument is non sequitur.
Your response has given you away.
You are not Maupe Ogun,Period!!!
Another impersonator on the prowl.
I therefore advice every one to enjoy this man's brilliant analysis and disregard the moniker.Same with PP.angel

Sports / Re: Improvements That Oliseh Needs To Make In The Super Eagles. by Jaypea98: 11:22pm On Oct 12, 2015
rapmike:
Now that Oliseh has won and enjoyed his first major scalp as an Eagles coach (forget the lacklustre display, Cameroun is still a rival),coupled with the reduced tension caused by Enyeama's retirement and the defeat by Congo, he needs to settle down and assess a few areas that needs improvement. Some of these areas include:

1. A faulty defence line: despite our victory, I was still concerned that our defence and goalie were not tested well enough. Though that should be a good sign, but considering that Cameroun looked to suffer a bit from poor positioning in the first half, its safer to say that the opponents were not as sharp as expected in attack, yet both Echejile and his compatriot on the right side of the defence were beaten occasionally when Cameroun had the chance. Coupled with the shaky composure of Ambrose before his goal (where he almost sold us out), then its not yet Uhuru for our defence. One positive though was the performance of Leon Balogun; his performance at the heart of the defence was courageous, putting the best performance I have seen of him in recent times. Now Oliseh needs to work on Ambrose and find other options on the flanks.
2. A blunt attack: we may have scored three goals, which is very good but yet we could have scored so much more with a sharper attack. Probably if given more time the attack will be more potent but a strikeforce that has just scored two goals in three matches which involved the likes of Tanzania, Niger and Congo won't give me goose bumps. Moreover, Cameroun were really not tight in defence, so three goals should be a given. However, its an improvement and we hope the attack continues to improve under Oliseh.
3. Emenike: Yes, the man who made us to think of Yekini during the 2013 AFCON. Or what's left of him. Since the World Cup, he has been on a perpetual decline, notably worsened in his time with Fenerbache. Despite moving to the Arab world with Al-Ain, Emenike has failed to recover that form that made us root for him in that AFCON. Now he is more of a distraction and rough thug, creating and fighting physical battles with the opposition centre backs and linking up play. While this is certainly not bad, its certainly not his role as a striker and that has left us blunt in attack anytime he spearheads it. It is left to the coaching crew and himself to find that form, as any injury to Ighalo may leave us completely blunt in attack.

All in all, we (the fans) have to be patient. Even the World Cup Champions in Germany struggled against 'minnows' last night and Spain have also had their struggles, so its not all rosy out there. Here is wishing the eternity of the Super Eagles success, although only time will tell if such wish will come through.

Cc: Safarigirl,chrisxxx, honeric01, semi4lyfe.
The solution to our LB debacle is no other than .
Kingsley Madu. Remember him?
Also watch out for EZEKIEL BASSEY Nigerian Hazard. He plays for my darling Enymba.
Ndifreke NPFL's best freekick specialist plying his trade in Abia Warriors
Usman Mohammed...Plays holding midfield role for Taraba United . You saw his performance against Niger...
Not forgetting regulars like Gbolahun Salami and Oghenekaro Etebor both Warri Wolves players..
Well you have a chance to see them first hand against burkinaFaso in the CHAN qualifiers later this weekend.
I dear say that this CHAN team composed 100% of home based professionals is by far beter than the SuperEagles .
Thank you

As much as i recognise iheanacho's immense talent , i must say he is being 'hyper hyped' lol by some of the guys here.
I go with Icon2s on this.
One question though...
Who do you rate higher between
Andreas Perreira and Kelechi Iheanacho...
Keeping in mind the fact that both these guys have come up against themselves this year in the WYC ;With the former triumphing at the latter's expense?
