Do this stats show their movement and awareness as well?

Because as far as I'm concerned, Kante's movement, awareness and reading of the game trumps that of Herrera. Maybe you should watch our match vs Chelsea once again!

I'll have Kante over Herrera every day! Running around like headless chicken is nothing to be proud of! More so, for a creative player having to resort to that shows he's just useless!
Watch our match against liverpool again.
The stats are what they are, proof that herrara is a very good player indeed.
Do you know that ander Herrera has 6 assists this season?

@QuotaSyste the league winner this year will get US$1,3 Million and next year it will increase, and at the same time teams are getting a monthly grant of +-US $290 000 and obviously all  teams have sponsors and also gate takings,it is a profitable business. The cheapes team/franchise in the league worth around 13 mil USD.

And there are cup competitions Telkom Cup,Nedbank cup,MTN.

I must point out that South Africans are narrow minded,Africans competitions are not taken seriously or supported here.Maybe this is the result of being isolated for too long, people forget that the experience one gains in competions like this are very important,Orlando Pirate won the CAF champions league cup in 1995 and the following year majority of those players lifted 1996 AFCON.

Oh my!!!!!
You mean PSL teams got as much as these as far back as 2008?
Please give us an update of those figures ,i expect that the grants and other bonuses would have tripled by now, including PSL League winners' prize money.

Kenyan PM, Odinga, faults rotational presidency
By Olalekan Adetayo
Published: Friday, 10 Oct 2008

The Prime Minister of Kenya, Mr. Raila Odinga, on Thursday faulted the idea of rotational presidency in Nigeria, saying it was capable of causing the country’s disintegration.

Odinga, who delivered a lecture titled “Democracy and the Challenge of Good Governance in Africa” at the silver jubilee anniversary of The Guardian in Lagos, particularly noted that the South-East zone of the country had not produced a President.

He pointed out that those who had the right to vote must also have the right to be voted for in a democracy.

The Prime Minister said, ”I was here (in Nigeria) during 1999 and 2003 elections. I was also here in 2006. Somebody told me that the presidency is rotated between the North and the South and that since President Olusegun Obasanjo is from the South-West, the next president should be from the North.

”I asked what happens to the South-East and I was told that the situation is like that because Northerners do not trust the Easterners. If you say that some people can vote and cannot be voted for, then why are we here?

“Something similar to that happened in Kenya too in the past when they said that the uncircumcised could not lead the country. This situation causes disintegration. The right to vote also confers on one the right to be voted for.”

Odinga attributed the problems facing Africa to the derailment of its leaders from the laudable and visionary dreams of its founding fathers.

He said that Africa’s problems were compounded by the lifestyle of mediocrity that Africans had been living since independence.

While regretting that about 15 million people die yearly in Africa in poverty-related circumstances, Odinga said to heal the scar, the continent needed purposeful and visionary leaders.

He chided the African Union for what he called its failure to condemn brutal regime in the continent.

The Prime Minister said, “One man that has been dragging the name of the continent in the mud in recent times is one Mr. Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe. He turned to a brutal dictator.

“The AU has fallen short of expectation for failing to condemn brutal regimes. Mugabe is still being welcomed. This cannot, however, surprise us. It is because many of our leaders have big skeletons in their cupboards.

“They adopted this conspiracy of silence for the fear that if they talk, the spotlight may fall on them too.”

Despite the ills bedeviling the continent, however, Odinga said he believed in the ability of Africans to develop the continent by themselves.

He said, ”Foreigners will not come to develop the continent for us. They will only invest in the continent and make profit to share to their shareholders.

“We should stop blaming our colonial past for our woes. We should put that experience behind us and move forward just like Korea did.”

The Kenyan leader also asked African leaders to tap into the rich human resources in the continent by providing conducive environment for professionals to work rather than being driven out.
“Tomorrow belongs to the people if they prepare for it today. We will not take our rightful place in the world if we fail to prepare. Our enormous resources should be made to work for us. Africa must rise. If Africa unites, nobody can stop it,” he concluded.

safarigirl:
basketball and tennis are the most popular sports in Nigeria outside of football.

In my school, there are basketball practices and games everyday by 4pm, while football happens only on 2nd semester.

Our boys recently won the Afrobasket, Nigerians tens to follow sports which we're sure of dominance to some extent against other African teams. A good followership will be dependent on great results and accessibility.

For now, EPL is easier to access than the NBA and we don't have players there as opposed to EPL
The fact that the D'Tigers won the Afrobasket doesn't change anything .
THAT COMPETITION WAS WON BY100% FOREIGN BASED PROS.
So their success didnt rub off on the game in Nigeria unlike CHAN Eagles and Afcon 2013 conquerors .

.
He came on for the last 25/30 minutes today with Zamora having put Brighton 2-1 up. Looked quick and sharp and linked up well with guys he's only met in the last few days. Took a superb through ball, beat the keeper and was unlucky to hit the post and not score on his debut. Think he'll score plenty at Brighton.

Chelsea at risk of losing another prized youngster over lack of opportunities
By Fellipe Miranda  @Brazfoot on Dec 3, 2015, 1:14a 7

 TWEET SHARE (348)
Continuing with the current theme of
Chelsea v. youth prospects , it seems that another prized youngster from Chelsea's youth ranks might be looking for a way out of Stamford Bridge. This time, it's Charly Musonda, according to Matt Law from the Telegraph . And while it's Ruben Loftus-Cheek who's drawn the ironic headlines of "Chelsea's Paul Pogba" (but in the positive sense), it's perhaps Charly Jr. who's the closer analogue to Pogba's plight at Manchester United.
Charly Musonda Jr. arrived at Chelsea along with his brothers Lamisha and Tika
in 2012 in a deal with Belgian club Anderlecht, brokered by their father and former Zambian international Charly Musonda. Since then, Charly Jr. has gathered plenty of plaudits and admirers thanks to his showings with Chelsea's U18 and U21 teams (and for Belgium's international youth teams as well), making up for his diminutive size with dominant skills and work rate.
Even though the 19-year-old just signed a contract extension in March for more four more years, Chelsea are apparently at risk of unsettling Musonda due to the
lack of opportunities given to him this season, starting in pre-season when he was excluded at the last minute from the first-team squad selected to take part in our US friendlies (to make room for eventually discarded Victor Moses, rumour has it). It's also rumoured that Musonda refused to move on loan to Vitesse to join fellow Academy players Lewis Baker, Isaiah Brown and Dominic Solanke as well as Nathan and Danilo Pantic. Despite that, Chelsea might try to point him to this direction once again to appease his demands, while also offering him yet another new deal.
Adding further fuel to rumours of discontentment, reports from Belgium (later confirmed by Musonda's father ) claim that the youngster changed agents. Previously represented by Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes, Musonda dismissed him to give way to Aidy Ward, the man behind Raheem Sterling's big money move to
Manchester City this summer. Plenty of ominous dots there to connect.
As potential suitors to Musonda, in case everything falls apart and Chelsea decide to cash-in early, there are several big clubs on the list, including Arsenal and
Manchester United , supposedly. There's also AS Monaco, whose interest drew comments from Charly Sr. earlier this year as he claimed his son should move out of Stamford Bridge not only for his own good but also Chelsea's.
In years past, a 19-year-old player such as Musonda probably wouldn't have had as much leverage as nowadays. But in an era in which clubs are more than willing to pay exorbitant fees to players who aren't yet at their physical or technical peak, it's all getting more difficult and complicated. Unfortunately, there are no easy answers or solutions here. We can only hope this won't peg us in the back in the near future.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Jaypea98: 9:12pm On Nov 30, 2015
elampiro:

The only reason our attack was better yesterday than Wednesday was because Ashley Young went forward. Possession football is not bad but you need quick legs once you go into the opposition half. Otherwise they will recover, regroup to defend in numbers.

Memphis is quick but he doesn't have good football sense. Memphis is actually quicker than Martial on a long distance. Martial quickness and acceleration is on a short distance.

If we have one midfielder who can play fast, two pacing and dribbling wingers, we will enjoy this Luiz Van Gaal's philosophy.

I dint know why ,but Memphis in a united shirt has never looked like a quick player , In PSV he was a genius Scoring goals anyhow.
He no longer scores those freekicks anymore ,nor does he score from outside the box like he used to.
He seems to have heavy thoughts in his head whenever he gets the ball and gets easily frustrated when dispossessed of it.
I sincerely hope he is able to at least breach Douglas Costa 's heights sometime soon.
