Veteran nollywood actor and filmmaker, Fred Amata has lashed out at people that have been criticizing the “France Flag Profile Photo” in honour of the victims of Paris Attack.

Facebook in his bid to join the fight against terrorism, introduced a new procedure where you can use a Country’s flag. In this case France Flag, to show support to the victims of the terrorist attack and to also show solidarity in the fight against Terrorism.

Some Nigerians have been complaining online that why didn’t the same support come to Nigeria when Boko Haram committed worse atrocities in the Northern part of the country.

A French lady also shared the same opinions with some Nigerians with a post on why she won’t be putting up the flag of her country to support the victims of Paris attack. See the post that has gone viral below …

Yesterday, Mr Chukwudi Okechukwu, a pastor who preached in Tanzania under the auspices of his Lord Chosen Church has been sentenced to 30 years in jail after being convicted of smuggling cocaine worth Sh3.1 billion.



He was jailed along with fellow Nigerian, Paul Ikechukwu, South African Stan Hycent and Pakistani Shoaib Mohammad Ayazi. High Court Judge Amir Mruma also ordered them to pay Sh9 billion in fines.



Anti-narcotics police believe that the preacher is one of the top members of a drug syndicate operating in Tanzania, Nigeria and South Africa. He and his 3 accomplices were hiding in a mansion in Dar es Salaam’s Kuduchi Mtongani suburbs when the police arrested them.


Pastor Okechukwu was the only suspect who managed to jump over the wall but was arrested after a dramatic chase by the police. Upon searching the house, anti-drugs police seized 81 packets of cocaine.


Pastor Okechukwu first came to Tanzania in January 2011, two months before his arrest, on an evangelical mission under the umbrella of his Lord Chosen Church of Nigeria.

Months after Toke Makinwa separated from her hubby, Maje Ayida, there are strong indications that all will be settled soon. Reports claim that the couple are planning to work things out together.

According to a source who spoke exclusively with Entertainment Express, Toke and Maje are now back on speaking terms, but are yet to move in back together as husband and wife. The source said;

“They are really taking it very slowly and naturally and don’t want to rush things up. Toke has been very cooperative with her man and has forgiven him although it was not easy for her at all. They now exchange phone calls and messages and have met a couple of times. I can’t tell you more than that please, so I don’t get into trouble,”

It was also hinted that the couple will no longer bring their private affairs into public domain and may never be spotted together. “It’s a ground rule that both parties have agreed to for obvious reasons,” said the source.

Toke and Maje got married last year, but separated under controversial circumstances earlier in the year when news reached Toke that her hubby had secretly impregnated his former lover.

After reuniting with his former label, Chocolate City, popular rapper Jesse Jagz announced that he will be dropping two albums and one mixtape in the next one year.

This was back in June this year, when Audu Maikori became the President of Chocolate City Group and M.I Abaga was named the CEO Chocolate City Record Label.
With his brother as his new boss, its seems his plans of dropping his albums and mixtape was going to be a reality…

However, news from the popular record label which boast of having one of the highest numbers of known artistes in the music industry with the likes of Ice Prince, Femi Kuti, Victoria Kimani, DJ Lambo amongst others has not been as expected, with various reports saying that Jesse Jagz is not happy with the role the label is playing in the release of his albums.


Jesse Jagz himself dropped hint of his displeasure online when he spoke about how he dropped two albums in one year, when he went solo and created his own record label, JagzNation. He has called on fans to be patient with him, as all he wants his to ‘give fans good music steadily’.

Jesse said be didn’t want to talk about the delay, but a source close to the rapper revealed that the rapper already has an album but the record label management, which has his brother, M.I Abaga as CEO and Ice Prince as Vice Chairman have refused to approve the project for release.


Recall that Jesse jagz dropped “Thy Nation Come & Royal Niger Company” under his JagzNation Record Label, after he left Chocolate City in 2013.

It was at the backstage at 2face Album Launch in Eko Hotel.
Tiwa said;


“My dress for the performance came literally five minutes before I was supposed to go on stage. I didn’t have time to try it on before my performance. The emcee announced: ‘Next on stage is rising star, Tiwa Savage.’ So I quickly put it on. As soon as I was walking on stage, the zip ripped at the back and I didn’t even know.”


“Banky W saw it and was like ‘Oh my God! Your whole back is open.’ I was really embarrassed. They tried to pin me up but all this time, the band and everybody were on stage. I had to go back, change into something that was not planned. It was quite embarrassing.”

Talking about how he always play the part of an evil man in movies, 59 year old veteran Nollywood Actor, Chiwetalu Agu said;


“I was always given roles of a wicked man and I got to understand that most of my fans were not pleased with it. Some of them felt it was something real, and the consequence was that whenever I stepped out in public, I was caught in embarrassing situations. I then decided to be infusing comic relief even when I’m playing wicked characters because I’m a veteran screen writer.”



In a chat with Vanguard, the actor revealed how these 'evil' roles he play in the movies result in some shocking reactions from fans. He recounted one his most embarrassing encounter.


 “one day, while I was on Onitsha ‘Head Bridge’ on my way to  Asaba, there was this traffic snarl that made us come out of the car. One fan came to hail me and slap me on the shoulder in the course of appraising my unique style of acting. Some other persons cautioned him, and he fired back by saying, ‘Don’t you know this man is my all-in-all? He makes me happy; whenever I’m not happy, I just slot in his movie, and I become happy.’ That was an embarrassing incident, but I saw it coming because that was the period I was playing evil diabolical roles.”
