am from ondo state and watched d debate live...I was really shocked abt d wanton display of lack of intelligence and composure... But am sure when d candidates of other major parties come on show,it would be a diff kettle of fish. But really,I was shocked. Such pple abound in all d states in Nigeria. D disappointing thing is dat such kind of pple were fielded as candidates in d first instance... Ondo state has many intelligent pple to field...at least Dr Agagu was a governor in d state and d present gov is brilliant...Barrister Olusola Oke of d PDP is also good...looking forward to d governorship debate btw LP,ACN and PDP

I stayed* in Ekosodin from my 100 level till final year and nutyn happened till I graduated in 2003/04 session. Used to return from class den arnd 3-5 am almost always and didnt experience any bad incident. Thot all dese cult issues had reduced drastically. It's so bad dat it still happens. I was in Uniben some weeks ago and never had an inkling dat such activities could still be happening...MHSRIP. Really,extremely gentle pple could be dangerous sha. Cheers

from what I ve heard from pple and from Igbo gurls too,d bride price is more expensive than dat of the yorubas and some other ethnic groups in Nigeria. Bt d fact remains that it depends on d kind of family u re marrying from. Am getting married early nxt year and d whole expenses we planned spending is abt N600,000.

BEEHANDZ,plz I need the nebosh material too. I did botany in my first degree and did masters in env control nd mgt. Want to get more inclined to dis safety stuff. I went for an interview in chevron last year bt wasnt taken cos I didnt ve any experience or training in safety. Since then, I worked as a safety officer for 6 months in one of chevron's platforms for a company that was given a contract by chevron. So I want to go back there after I gained valuable experience and certification. Sincere thanks to everyone that has contributed to this thread.

@1025,sometimes, it's not abt the transfer fee a player commands that shows how good he is. Kagawa was bought by man u for abt £12m and he is a quality player. Torres cost chelsea £50m and who would dare say he's better than van persie. Even adebayor scored more goals than he did last season. Koscielny cost abt £10m and he's one of the best in the league.

I'm really surprised this is happening to corps members.I served in 05/06 and it wasn't like this.We were regularly paid but it happened once that it came a week late.But sincerely when it came late,I didn't really feel it cos I had enof savings in ma acct.I only travelled twice thruout my service year(in December nd April).Then we were paid a paltry sum of #8500 nd a state(Ebonyi state) allowance of #1000.I stayed in a corpers lodge for free in d sec skol where I served(girls only) and didnt ve to spend money going to skol daily xcept wen going to town.Maybe dat was y I was able to save enof money or maybe because I wasn't extravagant.After service,I had abt 20k in ma acct and had a tv and a dvd I bought while serving.I also did NIM.Now my fiancee is serving in Kogi state,though she's a 2012 batch A corper,I ve sent money to her cos they ve nt been paid their allowee.Hoping they'll pay dem this week sha o. This isn't getting pleasant at all for corps members... Cheerio
