CharliParker: How can a married woman pregnant for that matter doing with a man, even the man is very selfish for doing that, can u agree with me that male dog can not mate with the female one when pregnant not to talk of a fool that called him self a man(human been)are u serious? HUMAN BEEN? Too bad |
Chuksphil2go: sorry apart from the guvnor and deputy how many pple owns coloured television in Ondo?it's either u were taken to one of the villages in okitipupa local govt, because d local govt is large or u re blind. How many pple owns colored tv in ondo? U must be a kid,I dare to say. For comparing Okitipupa to a cocoa plantation,it means u don't what u re saying |
Nigerians re so gullible and that's why the gove has been taking for a ride for many years. I am sorry to say that it'll continue like this if we cannot confront the govt rather than sitting idle at home and pray to God in our hearts that He shld change d country. God will not come down to help us if we don't help ourselves. And it'll get worse if it continues this way. Many Nigerian graduates can hardly write simple, correct grammatical expressions and dat is one of the products of a bastardised educational system. I have seen many grammatical blunders on nairaland,on dis thread, bbm, facebook, twitter, etc and I am very sad that we have descended so low to dis level. I fear for the future of this country with d mentality of our youths |
virus2010: yes my brother, assu shld be blamed bfore FG...dir is dis saying dat charity begins @home.so assu shld go nd address demselves 1st bfore raining faults on FG simple....and how re they supposed to go address demselves? In what way? Throw more light on ur statement |
Stino boss: Wif no doubt abh diz nd 4rm mah own poin of view i will say d fault z 4rm both parties,,,ASUU z beein greedy nd fg ought 2 ave implented the 2009 agreementu seem to be talking from both sides of ur mouth. How can u accuse FG of not fulfilling d agreement they signed with ASUU and at d same time accuse ASUU of being greedy? I think ASUU is just tired of d FG being very insincere and irresponsible. It's better to suffer now and enjoy later for the good of the future generations. A man that does not stand for something will fall for anything. Ghanaian lecturers went on strike for over one year many years ago and I can say categorically that universities in Ghana are better placed than Nigerian universities. Our universities are nothing to write home about and ASUU has decided to take d bulls by the horns and some ignorant and selfish Nigerians are here blaming dem for doing the right thing. If this is not done now,our children will be given a worse education than we have at d moment. It'll continue to get worse if d decadence is not nipped in the bud. I had a friend who did his M.Sc in Malaysia and he told me that d govt gave them grants for their projects. In Nigeria, d reverse is d case where u personally pay for projects u embark upon despite d fact that we have so much money, majority of which are wasted and stolen. I am fully behind ASUU in dis struggle, even if it takes one year to achieve. Lest I forget,a senator earns N30m every month, probably d highest in d world and dey refuse to sponsor Education to d level it shld be. Dey want us to perpetually remain half-baked like we have been ever since. I saw a postgraduate student in a lab,in a fed university last week, using a locally made lantern to heat a measuring tube instead of a bunsen burner. I was taken aback. I met some students recently who said dey haven't handled a microscope personally before and to think dey re graduates of botany and microbiology,is kinda shameful. Was in South Africa last year and was ashamed when our universities re compared to theirs. It's really a shame that has to stop. So ASUU shld be encouraged instead of being blamed for d crisis rocking d educational system at d moment. In closing,Nigeria spends just abt 11% on education while South africa and Ghana spend over 25% on education. We will forever remain educationally disadvantaged if we don't act and posterity will not forgive us. ASUU will be d biggest fool to call off the strike at dis stage without achieving it's aim over 3 months on. |
DONMAYOR19: ASUU na big thief, fighting for themselves and allowing Nigeria student to suffer......ASUU olecan u give reasons for dis statement? U seem to be very ignorant,a typical Nigerian. We really deserve the kind of leaders we get |
kennygee: We have all lost sympathy for them. They're jst selfish.u don't know what u re saying |
chemashie: Una don buy Suarez join?!very good question |
profola2be: I learnt Dr Olusegun Agagu was a Liverpool Fan when he was alive, that's why this is happening after his death!that's not true. He was a man u fan |
Yomexy007: ASUU don destroy my life...... My Girlfrnd don get belle....pls stop blaming ASUU for d destruction of ur life jare..u destroyed ur life urself...can't u find sth meaningful to do with ur spare time? I know pple who ve engaged demselves in more meaningful ventures instead of sleeping around with ur girlfriend. Be wise |
Soboi: ASUU.......foolish pple....... Dnt dey av children? Or must dey delay our Education becos of dere own interestu must be very naive |
mumumugu: I hope he wins the caseI pray he loses |
Am fully behind ASUU..our govt is just too irresponsible |
IYA NGBALI: he has deadare you really serious? HE HAS DEAD? Wow |
"Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad" I think Shekau is mentally deranged |
kenchukscole: When wil al ds nonsense abt ASUU stop?since ma ist yr in 2009,i ve bn experiencing ASUU strike till now in ma final year....i tink dos guys are selfish and dont care about Nigerian students....how many of ASUU staffs can boast of dia wards or children in Nigerian university....dos people should free us d students, they r onli doin ds for personal gratification....i want to GRAduate ds year ooo!!!!I know many lecturers whose children are either in a federal or state university. They cld be selfish but they also ve d interests of Nigerian students at heart in relation to d quality of education dey re given. We cannot say dat there aren't lazy lecturers but the overall majority of lecturers re hardworking, relative to their remuneration. If u graduate dis year,u r only gonna be a half baked one. We re just concerned about the future of our children and d struggle must start now. Many of our laboratories are empty and dis has a lot to do with d quality of students dat pass thru such departments. This is one of the reasons our graduates in Nigeria are half-baked. I ve a friend who did his M.Sc in Malaysia, who told me they give dem grants for their projects on presentation of receipts/invoice of d materials dey bought. Can dat happen in Nigeria? All students and lecturers re responsible for d money dey spend in laboratory and field works/research. This is nt supposed to be so in a country that values her people. In Nigeria, dey prefer to spend such money on Legislators who can stoop so low to discussing menstruation of young girls and "when dey want dem to be forced to marry". It's high time we stood for what is right |
Luckypiero:I am actually in support of ur stance. If they call off the strike now without d full implementation of the agreement,it then means ASUU is gonna go on strike again in d forseeable future. So I think it's better they continue until d govt acceeds fully to their demands. |
IAMBREEZY: I taught they call off the strike, hmmmwhy won't u taught?'Taught' is d past of 'teach'...'thought' is d past of 'think'..so it shld ve been 'thought'...ok...I am actually tired of this kinda grammatical errors..learn and move on...cheers |
abedoyin: Don't let us liken dis to b d cause of suffering,The true cause of suffering is the Nigeria Governmentexactly, the grace of God. They told her if she refuses to heed the word of God, that she shld be ready to face the consequences when they come. |
MyDiva: @Op, y nt talk to ur pastor? I think he cn counsel u since he hs spiritual insight more dan u dothat's exactly what i will do. As far as i am concerned, i wld still ve gone ahead but the lady needs a lot of spiritual convincing b4 she would be able to agree. She's been crying her eyes out and not been eating for days...so painful |
Truckpusher: What where you expecting when young peeps like you and your gf goes to those crazy places to be brainwashed?......smhwe didnt go anywhere to be brainwashed. The prophet in question came to their church because they ve a programme. It was then he started seeing visions and saying all what he said. And her mother is the spiritual leader of the church. The prophet didnt even know who she was until they told him she's the daughter of the spiritual head of the church |
Yield: Are you both rushing into marriage? If you rush into a marriage, that's not a good thing, duh.thanks a lot for ur advice..I don't think getting married after 2 years of courtship can be termed rushing..buh she's nt fully ready cos she just finishd nysc a few mnths ago..she just wantd to give in to my request of doing intro cos she loves me,b4 all dese Visions came into being.the prophet said death of one of the partners could occur. |
Yield: Instead of going to these Prophets, you and her should start doing your own praying.according to her, d prophet said she's going to face tough times in d marriage and dat if she rushes in,she will also rush out..and she didn't go to meet the prophets..dey re prophets from anoda branch of their church...and she doesn't want to go against d word of God and dat of her parents... |
Am in a 2 year plus relationship with a 25 year old lady..am 31,however.we had d plan to do introduction in May,but we had to postpone it because of some kind of vision from a prophet to her mother. Our problem started again when another vision was seen for her by another prophet who she claims, doesn't even know her. They told her dat we re good for each other but dat d future btw us looks dark..dat our days together doesn't look good...dat we re likely to ve problems in future..she's d best woman I ve ever known..her parents too are so so loving..she has been crying since dis was made known to her..she has refused to eat and she even used an overdose of a sleeping drug..her parents seem to believe in such prophecies a lot..I dnt know what to do..I really love nd she also loves me a lot...lest I forget, she attends a white garment church, which her parents also attend while I am a member of a Pentecostal church... |
playcharles: Pls don't judge the police too quickly, we all know how stubborn some UNIBEN student can be, let those in authority investigatedis guy must be a fool with the way he reasons.I did my b.sc nd m.sc in uniben and stayed in Ekosodin for 5 years and was never attacked one day..u must be a deranged boy.nd can u pls tell me a skol in dis country where u won't find stubborn students. And who is not busy, like u alleged?u ve to reason sometimes b4 u type |
Thespecialone: Pure BSeasier said dan done. So if na u,u go pursue dem and get shot or killed for pple u don't even know..dat doesn't make sense..d best u could do is get the plate no of the vehicle if u re close enof. |
yemmy19: Which institution ∂i∂ u graduated frm......smh. And how are you different from him? U must have graduated from d same secondary school...cos dis has to do with ur foundations |

According to the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service, nearly 100 million metric tons of pork were consumed worldwide in 2006 (preliminary data). Increasing urbanization and disposable income has led to a rapid rise in pork consumption in China, where 2006 consumption was 20% higher than in 2002, and a further 5% increase projected in 2007. |
