I am a new convert, after TTcing for almost 13years..

New journey hasn't been easy. Morning sickness last till the night, lost of appetite, vomits and no sleep..

How do experience mommas manage

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!! The good Lord that had started this journey will complete it for you in Jesus name.

Secondly, please see a doctor. He or she will give you something to ease up the morning sickness......though some women, like me, experience morning sickness all through 9 months of pregnancy.

I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy

thanks a lot Mummy, seems I'll get the above drugs. cos the doctor only prescribed Dulphaston 10mg 1*2

Please allow your doctor to prescribe for you before you get them.
That shes using them doesn't mean you have to also!!!

Consult your doctor first! If unsatisfied, seek a second opinion

I am so sorry that this happened to your little girl.
Please start from the school and like one mama said, tell your little girl a story, get her comfortable and she will tell you who is responsible.

I am so sorry this has happened to you.

May God be with your family through this.

Good morning mamas, pls is it advisable to buy a baby cot. So many people have told me it's a waste of money, that they don't sleep in it. What do you guys think? I am thinking getting those small foldable beds with mosquito nets though so baby can co sleep with me and hubby.

I bought a cot. Graco pack and play. It can be collapsed and easy to travel with as it's quite portable. It came in veeeery handy. Especially when we had guests who wanted to carry baby at all cost. I put my son in there, put the mosquito net down and tell them to greet him from there. It prevented people carrying him unnecessarily. My son also napped there during the day in the living room while I rested in the room. If he cried for food, my mil would pick him up, feed, burp, and return him there. Only reason why we didnt use it for long was cos my son is tall and he outgrew it fast.
Only thing we changed was the mattress. We measured it and got a custom waterproof mattress.
We packed it up and put it in the bag that was added to the carton and we will be using it for this second baby too.

What works for A may not work for B.
You may need to try it out first to see if it works for you

I once visited a friend who was gifted (thank God) a baby stroller, in her sandy area of a Nigerian neighbourhood. Now, that I think about it, the stroller did the exact same job of this cot you describe and a pinch, in comparison to what the portable beds with nets do, that most mums buy. The baby stayed in the stroller in the living area, while visitors cooed at him too. The stroller also had a mosquito net as does a cot and a portable bed.

Now, would you say it didn't work for her? But would it be nice to advise other first time mums, especially in Nigeria, to go for it? Reaaaally?

First time mums tend to go all out when it comes to shopping for baby and when they eventually realize that they may have overdone it, what choice would they have but to exert their inner creativeness with what they really could do without? Bassinets...changing tables..cots....are a few of the ridiculously impractical stuff that have better and lasting substitutes.

..My cent

I am sure you read the part where I said what works for A may not work for B!

There are Nigerians that live in areas with great road networks and they use strollers for their kids. Some even come to the shopping malls with the strollers. All these things depends on your pocket finally. If you want to splurge on your baby, why should anyone else be bothered about it?

Hello great mums in the house. God bless the fruits of your womb and your perseverance. Amen. Am not a mum am here on behalf of my wife, she didn't know anything about Nairaland, as a first time parent to make a complain about our 18 months old hyper active son, hoping to find a remedy. This guy has turned an once quite house to a commotion hall, i say commotion becouse no any other word to define his headache causing behaviors during the day time, he has so much bruises gotten from all curiosity adventures, this guy can can strangle a cat, put press iron or heater in wall socket, place pot on fire, sweep the room with broom, jumb on the bed, on the tv and fan , wash his cloth, bath himself witth any available water dirty or colored, go under the jeep ,just name it and its there. The only way to stop him was thru the cane and i read somewhere in this forum that using cane will make him stubborn in near future .all me my wife want to know is Plss at what age hyper active child stop these behavior.

Hes acting his age sir. Toddlers are always hyperactive. Best you can do is keep anything sharp or harmful out of his way.

If I tell you what my 2 year old does ehn you go pity me

You can also get coloring books for him with those large crayons, and give him to color or scribble

Don't. Even as a gift, I wouldn't advise you to accept. Except you have a lot of garage space and just want to be known for stashing baby stuff. Babies don't sleep for long periods, so you are stuck with having to take them out every now and again and it's worse when they can only sleep with a nipple to their lips... Imagine what you'd do then...

Just don't.

HI. The symptoms are not necessarily Obstetric cholestasis. Some reactions of pregnancy can also be itchy skin with absolutely nothing to worry about. Piriton does a very good job here.
However, is your palm itchy? And the soles of your feet?

I'm not the one with the itching.
I was just responding to the other mama and I remembered reading something about itching and redness.
That's why I said she should also see her doctor

Good morning Mummy's,

Meant to be team April but when I went for an US at 7 weeks, gestational sac was only seen with no fetal pole measuring 5 weeks 4 days. cry. A repeat scan was advised after two weeks to check for any progress.

After 2 weeks, fetal pole is not yet seen and pregnancy was measured at 7 weeks. Conclusion : anembryonic pregnancy.

I went to see a doctor showing him the scan results and he advised we wait for 2 more weeks to see if there's any progress or we evacuate.

I have no cramps, no bleeding safe for last week when I wiped once after the using the loo I found a brown discharge (tmi). Since then I haven't spotted.

My worries are, waiting for two weeks without any further action, any implication? As my husband is worried that if we don't do something now it might be dangerous for me. The doctor though advised that if I notice any slight bleeding or pain in stomach I should report immediately to the hospital but knowing how stubborn my body is, I doubt if it will happen.

I need words from experienced Mama's though not expecting any medical advice here as this is not a hospital but if there are any doctors or nurses, will appreciate your medical expertise.

[/sup]see long tory on top anembryonic pregnancy. You too talk. Kai[sup]
I'm sorry for what you're going through.
Perhaps you should listen to your doctor? Or seek a second opinion if you're not comfortable.

Where are you located? You can patronize online vendors.
With my first, my mum was here to always cook whatever I craved for. With this one, she's not here so it's been difficult. I buy what I crave from online vendors and it's not been bad at all.

I looked in the mirror today and I cried.
I’m just feeling so down at the moment I don’t know if it’s hormones but I’m just feeling so out of it, like I just can’t recognise the human being in front of me. I know I should be grateful for this blessing but I feel I’m losing myself in the process. My face has become so much darker than the rest of my body, I’m adding weight at an extreme pace, I don’t want to go out anymore I don’t feel good in anything I wear. My lips are constantly peeling then I have all these dark spots on my face from the acne I had from the first trimester. I don’t have the energy to be myself, to do normal things, I’m just moody most of the time. I’m just thinking out loud though , and I hope I can feel better about myself as I continue this pregnancy. I’m not ungrateful.

Awwwwn hugs mama
Its just pregnancy hormones that's messing with you.
You'll definitely loose the weight after giving birth and your face will return to normal.
Just like you, I suffer from severe chapped lips due to dehydration and I've not used lipstick in 7 months now.
Dont worry, you'll be alright.

Hugs mama

So after blending the food, say boiled yam or potato, u cook again, ill definitely try it, tnx mama kiss

BA and BS.

My angel arrived in the early hours of the 5th of September 2019. EDD according to scan at 20weeks was 8th sep.(i didn't know my lmp).
Actually,am not sure of the reason i didn't identify with my team, its either i forgot to submit the post i typed or i submitted it nd my team refused to identify wtme. But that didnt stop me from learning from the thread sa.

Bs.

This pregnancy was very different from my first, infact i had the opposite of every symptoms of my first. From excessive eating to serious laziness and big tummy, but i bless God it ended in praise.
From about 36 weeks i was already very tired of being pregnant, and i only tried to wait till 37weeks bfr i started doing tns to induce labor . i walked, danced, climbed stair case, did kpekus, drank castor oil but DS baby no gree show.
So i just decided to wait. 5th of september was my antenatal day and i was deteemined to drink another castor oil bfr going to see whether labor will start while am at d hospital but as God will have it i didn't get to drink it.
At about 1 am my son woke me to drink tea,i was in d middle of attending to him wen i felt a tap down my tummy, and something like a discharge followed.so i went to d bathroom to clean up but i strted feeling drops of water instead. That was how i started leaking water o,i woke hubby nd we started contemplating on how to get to d hospital at dt time cos we dont have a car. At that time contraction had not started so we just waited.contraction started at past 2 and i endured d pain till around 3.at around 3,i cldnt hold d pain anymore so i told hubby to start trying for uber and luckily for us we got a ride.
The ride took us about 40min and i went to heaven nd came back with crazy pain.
When we eventually got to d hospital and checked i was already fully dilated. And within another 30min my daughter was out weighing 2.95 without tear.
The relief i got afterwards was heavenly and i cldnt thank God enough for making d labor very brief.
I pray for all remaining preggy mamas ,safe and swift delivery is ur portion ijn.
As for me,am out for gud o.

She's a beauty.
Congratulations mama

Doh, It's part of the package. Just eat what you can eat, stay hydrated and take your prenatals. I've observed that pregnacare makes some people nauseous (with Tablet like human head), do you want to switch prenatals? It will mean more tablets but smaller sized. Talk to your doctor

Sorry mama
