So many mentions, I dont even know where to start from. Thank you so much mamas for the well wishes. I am truly grateful.

I go still submit birth story and December roll call o. Make una no vex. Vigilante plus baby feeding almost all the time is quite draining.

So, I'm the only one experiencing the back pain in second trimester

It's normal. Just use pillows to support your back. Theres little or nothing that can be done. Try to maintain a good sitting and standing and walking posture too.

Cold water or ice block water does not affect labor. It is totally safe and can be taken at any stage of pregnancy!

Doctors even recommend chewing ice if a pregnant woman is unable to tolerate water due to hyperemesis gravidarium.

I had severe morning sickness and severe dehydration in my pregnancy. Chewing ice helped me stay hydrated after I was discharged from the hospital. Even till I delivered, my water must be from the deep freezer. I did same with my first son too.

Nyxx123:

As long as is not Ice block water, is okk

But when you get to your last trimester(8/9 months) anything cold water should be limited or best totally avoided
I heard a doctor on a radio station say "cold water causes labour to delay" (I don't know how true it is o) you can verify

But the Ice block water, pls stay clear from it, medically is not advisable, how much more when one is pregnant

Good day Mamas, I gave birth late Thursday night via normal delivery and since then I have not been able to breastfeed my baby cos breast milk is yet to come out. Please note that I'm taking pap and the baby is taking NAN1, though thinking of changing to another good formula. Kindly help with possible solutions. Thank you. From a worried FTM.

Nan1 is a good brand of formula!
Keep putting baby to the breast

I thought i was the only one who has issues with colgate. I was cool with colgate 0-2 Years but then after we switched to colgate 2-5, my son had bad breath even with brushing twice a day. I switched to maclean 1- 6 and its been good so far.

Yeah I was even surprised cos their toothpaste has nice flavors. The only initial issue we had with the punch and Judy was that he hated the taste but eventually he got used to it. Tried maclean's and he hated it

Was using Colgate and maclean toothpaste for toddlers for Ds, but he always had bad breath not long after brushing, esp after a nap. Have to brush multiple times daily cause of this and changed his toothbrush

Resulted to using very little quantity of our regular toothpaste for him and his breath has been good

Any idea what we can do? So he goes back to using his regular toddler toothpaste, he's 22months+

I had same issue when I used colgate. Switched to punch and Judy and we've been good. The flouride in adult toothpaste is too much for a kid.

Mamas, good evening.
Please how and what do you think I can brush my girl's teeth with coz its kind of not very clean to me. I think its not brown teeth coz the lower ones are whiter than the upper ones. I'm presently using clean handkerchief and baby oral-b toothpaste and sometimes I use her brush to brush it. She is 17months old. Thank you

Why are youI using oral b toothpaste for a toddler? Go and get the appropriate toothpaste for her age please! There are so many and don't cost much

Hi everyone,
Our little boy is 3 months, we had initially intended to do a six month exclusive breastfeeding however the mother would start exams on Monday and can't be taking him to school. Please what sort of food do we start him with? Can he take formular and which is ideal? Also, does homemade food make sense at his age?

Only breastmilk and formula is to be given till 6 months. Since the mother will be writing exams, you can get any brand of formula that you can afford. All the best

Please I really need someone's help.
My mum Is suffering from glaucoma. She discovered this last two years. She was told to do surgery then but because of the fear she has concerning anything surgery she opted to receiving prescribed medications(eye drops and drugs). Recently however, she has been complaining incessantly about her sight deteriorating and I'm really scared coz I don't want my mum to go blind. So we went to d doctor who told us to do surgery before...but we were told it was too late for surgery and she just has to keep managing her sight like that...please I sincerely need some advice from the opticians in the house. Please is there a possibility of getting glaucoma surgery two years after it was diagnosed.

Sorry but we can't give any advice on this. Perhaps you should seek a second opinion.

I wish your mum a speedy recovery.

I’m quite surprised to hear about this your cousin’s scenario! I would have imagined she will have since adopted the Nigerian style long before the child got this “old”.

Still it’s not late but it will be a lot of work. She should start now and keep at it as best as she can. Hopefully the child too will keep it up In School when he starts.

It’ll have to be military boot camp style though because the boy is old. Just keep taking him t the loo literally on a schedule -hourly or so! She should promise rewards for getting it right And show displeasure when he soils himself.

Good luck to her and the little one

Thanks for your suggestion. I used that for my first son but his hair still came off with the scales. I really don't want her hair coming off with the scales.

For cradle cap, what I did then was to put a very very generous amount of olive oil on my son's hair, then I covered it with small black nylon for 30mins while I distracted him with play and some toys. After which I combed gently. His hair didn't come off

Thank you so much am, I’ve given pcm as advise d and I took them to clinic yesterday..but my son has be crying and giving some painful reactions since 2days now today was more people said it’s the navel I give nospamin for the navel thing and he doesn’t sleep at night at all am always awake cry cry pls na what els can I give for this navel thing his cries makes me feel depressed

As far as I know, all those nospamin and co don't work for colic.
Google how to make your baby comfortable during colic and you'll see little activities you can do for them to ease their discomfort

Don't be depressed okay. This is all part of motherhood
