Bro you should always fear God concerning what you will say about other people publicly

I always know and believe there is always way to appeal for many European countries under Schengen zone and was also thinking same applies to other countries

Have I ever scammed you or anyone that you've known before so why just all of a sudden call me scammer.

No one knows it all , you are only supposed to correct me na

@AbubakarOlat.
The reason for his comment is you sound like one of the contributors with little knowledge of the topic or a scammer. If your area of specialization is Shenghen and UK Visa while not stick to it instead of advising wrongly on the US platform without any meaningful research about the subject of discussion. You are not a scammer though but you are not adequately informed about the US Visa. Moreover you are using the opportunity to promote your private business which is against the rules of engagement on the platform. Will you refund the money paid to you if their call for visa appeals were rejected or you keep making money from their Ignorant because some readers will keep contacting you for their US visa refusal appeals if not for the disclaimer from some of the contributors here . It is for your good to be careful of your comments else your opinions might not be valid here again.

Good afternoon all, I had my first visa last year
Spent 6 weeks last year
Went back this year spent 4 months

My visa will expire March 2024, when do you think is the best time to apply for renewal , my wife’s interview is coming up in December , fresh application
Thanks

You can apply as soon as your visa is less than 3 months to expire but let the visa expired . your four months stay is a red flag in recent US visa renewal,I am not to discourage you but to prepare you for your valid reasons for staying for such a long time. Your wife chances is as good as any other first timer once she can defend her reasons for choosing the US for her next vacation.

Good day everyone... I did my capturing early July at Alausa office and I haven't collected my passport yet.

Does this mean it is ready for collection now?

your passport should be ready for collection,go with your relevant collection documents. 90% of the passport backlogs have been attended to, they are ready for collection just as the minister rightly said. My friend captured on the 7th of August at the Alausa NIS office (DIY) got his renewed passport on the 29th of September against the 3rd of November collection date. The passport was renewed on the 15th of September and there was no notification for pick-up.

I heard that Alausa Passport Office's now producing April 2023 applicants' passports.

When I wanted to renew my visa in 2019, I did dropbox in 2018 dec and got called for interview and attended this. A woman who was in front of my was called up to the window and was asked about her previous travels she answered and then she was asked how long will you stay this time she said two weeks then the officer said the last time you spent 3 months but you said two weeks and that was the end of the interview, it ended in a refusal for her and she had visited a lot of times prior to then from her responses.

Long and short it yes, staying long can impact your future renewals and also saying I’ll stay two weeks and going ahead to stay wayyy longer can also impact your visa although some people get lucky but for how long ?

That's my point, stay for two weeks if you tell them you are staying for two weeks or a month if you tell the border officer you are staying much longer. Don't change your holiday date if you plan to renew your visa. Many visitors to the US got their visa renewal denied in recent years due to this simple reason ,unlike pre-2018 when 5 months stay in the US is never an offence once you want to renew.

You don’t seem to get my post. The overstay in discussion is going and not returning not staying for 3 months and above. Yes, staying long may be an issue but staying behind and not returning with the intent of relocating is the main issue.
By the way, although 180 days the standard to be stamped in for, some get stamped in for lesser, so staying beyond the date you’re allowed in the usa is the issue.

You are not far from the truth but also you can be stamped in 6 months or less stay and you spent 45 days instead of the 15 days you gave the custom and border officer and your renewal get denied.many of such cases are coming up in recent times.

I'm here to seek advice and recommendations on what we could do better for a tourist visa interview.

Backgound:
My wife and I welcomed a baby last week and we are inviting my mum to visit for about 4 weeks. Her interview is coming up first week of September in Lagos, I don't want her to miss this opportunity. The problem is that she had gone with my Dad in March 2023 for a tourist visa and both were denied for lack of sufficient home ties.

Additionally, my inlaws went for US visa interview this August 2023 for a tourist visa to visit their new grandson and both were denied. My inlaws did everything right in my opinion, they both had very great jobs, landed property, and business and all their kids apart from my wife are in Nigeria and the VO denied them on the grounds of lack of sufficient home ties. I'm very confused regarding what the VO is seeking as evidence of home ties.

Due to the above experience from my parents and in-laws who were both denied tourist visas, I'm sharing the responses my Mum is preparing to provide the VO for your input.
Note: This time around my mum will be going for the interview alone, not with my dad as she previously did.

Answers she is preparing to provide
VO: May I have your passport
Mum: Passes her passport

VO: What do you want to go and do in the USA
Mum: I wantt to see my newly born grandson. My son and my daughter in law had a baby in August.

VO: How long do you intend to stay in the USA
Mum: I will be visiting for 4-weeks

VO: Where will you be staying is USA
Mum: I will be staying with my Son and his family in California

VO: What does he son do
Mum: He work in xxxx company as a Software Engieer

VO:
Mum:

VO: Who will be sponsoring your trip
Mum: My husband will be sponsoring imy trip. I also have some personal savings as well.

VO: What does your husband do
Mum: He is retired from Public service. He worked in our State Post Primary School Management Board as a Supervising Principal

VO: What do you do
Mum: I'm a retired secondary school principal and now work as a full-time Catechism teacher at our local parish, I am also a laity leader in the Carmelite missionary community

VO: Do you have other relatives in the US
Mum: Yes I have another son who also lives in California

VO: How many children do you have
Mum: I have x number of kids

VO: Where are all your kids
Mum: 2 in US, 1 in Canada, 1 in UK and rest in Naija

VO: What are you childred doing
Mum: Explains

VO: Why are you not travellin with your husband
Mum: He just had a surgery and was adviced not to travel now

Kindly review these proposed answers and let me know if we are missing something.

My primary concern is how you get your GC in the US,did you travel through the visitor's route or the legal migration process in Nigeria? Many applicants in similar situations have their family members visa denied because their hosts got their GC through the visitor's visa while in the US. Be sure to let her know how you migrated to the US.

Debbieeeeeee:

I agree with this, how you achieved your immigration status may contribute to the future issuance of visa to your family members tied to your application, although some people get lucky.
Someone who overstayed her visa and used to apply with her family has a group got them all denied due to her immigration status and they’ve been visiting the USA for a long time prior to the overstay but the moment they returned to renew they all got refused on three attempts. Although they got lucky with their first one after she left and luckily renewed that one but after then they’ve tried thrice and all gotten refused.

Visa overstay is mainly after 6 months in US visa but in recent years staying over 3 months is a red flag. Many renewals were denied because of long stay but not up to 6 months. I always advise visitors who plan to renew to always keep to the number of days presented at the immigration desk of any US airport.

Agents don't approve or determine visa success. since your wife is a US citizen, apply for the right visa. You can go through the their official website to know what type of visa you qualify for.

You can not use just any insurance company, their are listed insurance companies approved for shengen visa application which I believe Allianz insurance should be among.

For your Best interest return back to base (UAE) if you have the resident permit before the expiration. you have been denied visa, just get your denial letter/information from him for your future visa applications. Don't let the agent waste your time and resources.

Boss the agent told me that day said I will not come back that is the reason y dey refuse me and he said this time around his going to stand as a guarantor for me cus he has 3 years stay in France pls bro I need ur assistance tell me if that’s possible pls

Tnx boss he his not yet send me the refusal letter but he said he will what is just saying now is he need to reapply that he don’t need any money from me his looking for next available appointment I will keep you posted boss but still I will be glad to have your number not for disturbing you pls

The agent is not being honest with you probably because you paid him huge amount of money and he doesn't want to disappoint you. You have the right to reapply as soon as possible but it doesn't guarantee your success. Why are you so desperate to travel to france and why is he standing as a guarantor for you when you are only going on vacation? Are you a frequent traveller ? That's what can increase your chances . It's better you have your situation improves over time before you re-apply rather than being deceived by an unscrupulous agent.

Please I need an answer. I want to apply for a tourist fresh Visa. But my passport is expiring March 2024. Can I pick a date and go to renew my passport?

it is not advisable to apply for visa with int-passport validity of less than 6months. Yes you can apply with your passport , you will have to go for the interview with your renewed passport with your profile updated.

Please clarify. Who will she pay to keep the key? An official of the embassy? I'm just worried about it. Thank you for your kind response.

Their are designated places to keep your items which involves payment , if you are not too okay with that you can go with someone to keep your belongings pending the time you are done with the interview.

With the current inflation and economic situation, if the person is a first time applicant, any amount above 1.8m will be okay for self sponsored trip.

Send a complaint mail and explain your situation, if your financial situation is still stable and good,it could be oversight mistake from the ECO. your UK Visa history qualify you for 10years visa.

You can actually use 4 months bank statement as long as it is clean.

We have read here how an applicant was denied visa because he/she presented less than 6months bank statement, if you are a first time applicant, it's better you go by the rule of six months statement.for a frequent flyer, 4 or 5 months good statement can be considered.

You are only on the platform to ask questions but not to learn, already you are aware your dealings are illegal and nobody will compromise with you on that. Get yourself a UK visit visa first, other questions from you will be attended to.

Once your visa is granted in most cases, you only receive twice pick up mails from TLS and if you are refused visa , you get a refusal mail from UKVI and the pick up mails from TLS.

@ZabethMay, someone here few days ago on student visa actually shared the testimony of inviting her younger sibling who is still schooling in Nigeria for a visit and was issued a visa, your mom has a better profile with her current employment status and bank statement. You can give it a trial.

Hello everyone. Please guys I need your advice.

After 4 months of waiting, I have decided to call for my family passport. Me,my wife and 5 years old daughter.

I did my biometric on 18th of May, till this moment nothing from them.

I think 4 months is enough for them to treat our applications for 6 month visitor visa. Though we are first timer but 4 months is highly ridiculous.

If you have already called for your family passports , no advise will be useful to your previous application anymore other than you to apply when next you are comfortable to let your passport stay for such a longer time for decision making.

Hello house

I applied for a family visit visa on the 30th of June and got this refusal yesterday. I have been paying myself salaries between 400k to 500k for the past one year from my company and my company name is shown in all the credits in my bank statements without no single credit from other accounts. However the ECO wrongly mentioned that they noticed I received money from undeclared source.

Please do you advise I go administrative review?

If you want to place yourself on monthly salary then be specific with the amount you earn, don't do 400k last month,450k this month and 500k next month. Include your tax documents and any other information or documents that will show you earn other source of income. Seprerate your salary account from your business account and explain every necessary details in your cover letter if you are attaching both bank account statements for your visa application

Sorry about the refusal. The ECO just wanted to denied your visa with his/her view. In my own point of view, you haven't address the issues on your first refusal in Jan 2022. If money was the reason for the first refusal and you failed to declare huge increase in the second application. Thus, it shows that you have inconsistence financial increase in couple of months. I will advise you to reapply and explain the reason and all source of your income and the increment.

Prepare your application as if you are saddest/wicked/racist ECO that are ready to refuse 90% of applications.

If you don't mind try to secure another country's visa before submitting fresh application this year or you'll postpone your new application till next year. This is an advice to reduce the sense of desperation.

The ECO didn't just want to deny him but he/she had a critical view of his application.
In January, his total earnings was 9m PA. Barely 6 months later after he was denied visa , his earnings rose to 13m in salary and 6m in other sources of income making 19m whereas no other sources of income in his first application just 6months ago.very possible as a business owner but the ECO won't see it in that way , even with supporting documents submitted with the application, the ECO won't be too convinced . It's always better to be patient and give enough space if circumstances have changed significantly when re-applying after a refusal because majority of such applications always results to the same outcome (refusal). I have seen an instance where an applicant re-applied for visa the same week he was denied , he only added a couple of receipts as his supporting documents for the other sources of income evidence , the visa was approved. In your case @ Adebayo, the scenario is different.

I am unaware of any decrease or increase in the UK visa price. The price listed on their website is accurate.

Short term visa up to 6 months - $126
Long term visa valid up to 2 years - $473
Long term visa valid up to 5 years - $842
Long term visa valid up to 10 years - $1052

The actual amount to pay for the type of visa will be determined when you are about to pay, the visa feel keep fluctuating by some few dollars until the payment time.

Yes I did click other sources of income, investment and also submitted all receipts an investment cert and all was stated in my cover letter… will definitely try again in January. Not in a hurry

If you are to apply again in January 2023, make your bank statement very flexible, have a dedicated salary account where your company pays you monthly stable income and you have your tax evidence, spend from the salary account the money you will state as your monthly expenditure,Visa success is not always about the millions of naira in business transactions but the steady inflow of monthly/yearly income, that's why it's easier for the ECO to verify applicant financial stability through the salary account . you can use your other bank accounts for your day to day business transactions. It becomes complicated for the ECO to understand if you keep adding and subtracting millions of naira from the same account because you are the owner and want to use the same bank statement as visa proof of funds. Have genuine supporting documents for your other sources of income, especially investment documents, receipts etc. The ECOs have enough applicants to attend to daily than trying to spend time on a single application for genuineness of your financial situation especially if you are not a frequent Traveller to the UK and other developed countries.
