HABA MY BEAUTIFUL TOWN |
debayun:I know but they wont |
mstik:very few but i can think of quite a number of politicians who are married to mixed women or very light skin women.. and in future I say 30 years you will start seeing what I mean. |
mstik:So I am asking do you think in the future the elites who will wield all of the power in Nigeria will be almost a separate race from the rest of the population. |
mstik:I never said that NL post lighskin people on front page, what I said was that Nl post photos of couples on the front page and I happen to notice that alot of the black male celebs were in toe with women of a lighter complexion which got me pondering. |
bogzyboy:Are you saying that there was no economic plans to keep Africa, South East Asia and South America economically repressed? My friend please go and do your research look up the Kissenger economic plan. I don't think you understand the people that effect the flow of capital around the world. 20% of the worlds population uses up to 80% of the available resources in the world, imagine if half the 3rd world population was suddenly transposed into the 1st world. It would be an economic disaster, prices would climb exponentially, rioting for food clothing oil and water would crumble the established European states. Africa need to be poor for the west to be rich. No one is absolving Africans of their share of the blame, it was our leaders that sold us for 30 pieces of silver but to call western interference in black nations as rubbish shows a profound feat of ignorance. |
This may sound crazy and ridiculous but with the NLand mods incessant posting of Famous/Rich couples on the front page I have notice that a lot of these famous men have either white, mixed or extremely light skin as partners, wives and gfs. And it got me wondering will a new lighter pigmented elite be created in the very near future? Surely the lighskin progeny of these relationship will seek wealthy and socially acceptable partners who will more than likely be paupau in complexion. As it says in the book of Ecclesiastes "There is nothing new under the sun." This is hardly the first time in history that such a phenomenon will be occurring. Through out the vast histories of China and India the same sequence of wealth, power and complexion has been repeated so many times that it is now an intrinsic part of their modern society. In Europe it was very prevalent, lighter skin was seen as a sign of wealth and prestige while darker tones were associated with labour and peasantry. So is Nigeria in the future going to be economically divided along pigment lines, like the inhabitants of the island of Hispaniola? I think so but only time will tell. |
Nimblemind:Taraba is not Core North though |
mikolo80:First I was Ranting now I am Whining like a Little Girl ![]() I rarely say this to people but you are an I.diot. What are you trying to prove? I raise a relevant global issue, you give a frivolous comment and then I am being sanctimonious Haba. There is no need to be a rebel without a cause if you have nothing to contribute to discussion dont comment. |
shevi4mb:I never said any where that mainstream muslims believe in what these lost sould believe. I even expressly differentiated but you are just looking for fight. Its a forum to educate people and I am educating people who may sympathize with ISIS and Boko Haram the absurdity of these organizations views. |
My dear please stop peddling this non-sense if our women were meant to have indian hair it would be growing out of their head. WOMEN YOU ARE SEXY AS YOU ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
shevi4mb:why am I stupid? Because what I have written is true? Some silly pagans might have these sexual beliefs just like some silly muslims do too. If you don't know black people are still being enslaved by your Arab holier than thou heroes for sexual gratification and they use the Koran to justify it. |
mikolo80:What can be described as ranting in anything I have posted? I read an interesting pictorial on what I think is an important issue and decided to share it on a forum. What is bad here? and your first suggestion (I dont know whether you were joking) was a typical Nigerian thing to say. Thats the attitude we have to maintenance of infrastructure as well "AHH We Will Fix It When It Breaks Down" Am I lying?? Look where that has gotten us. |
misspatsy:Why Relax it in the first place ![]() Stingy How?? |
We all know that conventional Islam states that a man can have up to 4 wives, BOKO HARAM having pledged to ISIS have taken it a step further here are some of their beliefs on sexual matters. 1) Captive Women (Non Muslim) Can be raped and or married on a permanent or temporary bases, if temporary after sexual exploitation can be sold to another only if not pregnant by the first lover. Justified by by quoting Quran 23:5-6 : It is permissible to have sexual intercourse with the female captive. Allah the almighty said: '[Successful are the believers] who guard their chastity, except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are free from blame. Thus enslaving the families of the kuffar and taking their women as concubines is a firmly established aspect of the Sharia's that if one were to deny or mock, he would be denying or mocking the verses of the Qur'an and the narration of the Prophet ... and thereby apostatizing from Islam. 2) Sexual Jihad Sexual jihad (jihad al-nikah) is a controversial practice of women within some Wahhabist groups allegedly offering themselves in sexual comfort roles to fighters for the establishment of Islamic rule. In April 2013, the Grand Mufti of Tunisia, Othman Battikh, alleged that Tunisian girls were visiting Syria to take part in a sexual jihad. The Tunisian Jihadist Abu Qusay who was interviewed by Tunisian TV after his return from Syria confirmed that stories about "Jihad al-Nikah" or what is also referred to as "sexual Jihad" are not just a rumors but are real, as he himself had experienced it firsthand. In December 2014 the Iraqi Ministry of Human Rights announced that ISIS had killed over 150 women and girls in Fallujah who refused to participate in sexual jihad. 3) Anal Jihad (omo why you the ginja) Anal jihad is a nickname for male-male anal sex in the context of armed jihad. It refers to a rumour – originating from an article by Islamic scholar Amar Ali Hassan and echoed by Egyptian activist preacher Mazhar Shahin – that Muslim Brotherhood mullahs have explicitly allowed jihadis to engage in male homosexual intercourse when they are away from home and cannot have sex with their wives. The phrase has also been used to designate the alleged practice of anal intercourse by suicide bombers in order to widen the anal opening to make room for explosives. |
sinizia:Thank you...this is not about me dumping on black women but I just want to get this non-sense out of our collective mentality that our hair is not good enough. Like anything trending it should start with Nollywood, Magazines Fashion shows and Beauty pageants. I want to see more actresses rocking their natural shi.t, I want to see a Miss Nigeria with braid, twist or any other indigenous hairstyle we have in this country. Sorry if I insulted you in the course of this discourse, it is just something that annoys me wholeheartedly, if the balance could be shifted to 60% natuaral hair and 40% weave you would not hear pimm from me but now its 90 % weave all the time for those that can afford it. Spread the Good news ![]() |
sinizia:What Reason Do they have OK Its Easier! can be conceded but thats not the main reason when I talk to black girls 99% their first reaction is it looks better then I point out how s.tupid and idiotic that sounds and they change to its easier to manage. FACTGo out and try it and see for yourself and watch how they treat girls that have natural hair. It didnt used to bother me that they wore weave before, honestly I found it a turn-off but it didn't bother me until I saw how girls who had their natural hair were being treated by guys and girls. Then in African shops hear in Europe I paid more Attention to what Mothers wear telling their children as young as 5. One black woman came in as I was getting my hair cut with 2 mixed children one was a girls and she came to get her and her daughters no more than 5 weave fixed because she wanted her to look more beautiful, thats her words. The Husband came in he was white and the look of disgust on his face was plain, the thing on the womans head was faker than monopoly money and was so shinny. Disgusting and the Husband was like I dont want my daughter to be walking around town with something that looks that fake, he almost refused to pay for it. I was just their shaking my head and saying BLACK PEOPLE. |
sinizia:Who am I? I am a person with a Opinion, just like you, People go about bleaching their skin to make themselves feel better, is it wrong for me to speak against that as well. You are getting very agitated I never said my word was Law. Point remains to go an shun your own Natural hair for something that is of Another race is ludicrous, no matter how you package it. In homes all over Nigeria Mothers are reinforcing a message to their children that weave is better than their own hair. And I think you did allude to weave being more favorable I quote "You can't choose the Western acts that favours you, and condemn the acts that favours the women." Stand by your word sir don't run away from them |
vivaciousvivi:Why would you say that with a head full of weave, the truth hurts but you are beautiful with your natural hair babe, I can just imagine you now hmmmmmmmmmmmmm nice. |
ireneidiva:Show me where you will see 10 white women and 8 of them will wear and afro wig please post it and give me the link. You will never see that non sense because they are proud of their natural God given hair. One thing they are not proud of is their skin for some reason they can spend $$$ on fake tan sun beds and all sorts of nonsense. |
sinizia:Clothes as far as I can tell came about from a need for shelter from the harsh weather conditions i.e. thick fur in cold climes and loose garbs in hot dry climes. Humans have not fur so in most cases we must covers ourselves from the external weather. Weave wearing for the most part is borne out of a deep sense of my hair looks bad like you have alluded to throughout your comments. And I don't buy that its difficult to maintain crap it takes 15 mins in the morning max and 15 mins at night max. People can spend 30 mins on applying make up and shit but can't do that? Now answer my question No dodging! Why do you feel a weave is favorable to a black woman natural hair? cause thats what you have been alluding to so far in this thread. |
mikolo80:In Nigeria My advice would be for Goverment to put in place a program that encourages smaller families, we are reproducing too quickly which is not sustainable for our economy or environment. And also we need to promote engineering and sciences in our schools to develop clear and more sustainable forms of energy and agriculture ( This one will be difficult due to a lack of capital) but as an alternative develop mass transit and discourage private car ownership. lastly we need to get into the habit of recycling both organic and in-organic waste. Please elaborate how I am burying my head in the sand..... |
ireneidiva:Show me those white people wearing Nigerian hair or African Hair and I'll take that point into consideration. |
sinizia:Keep dodging...... Answer simply question haba |
@ sinizia Just answer me this question from your earlier assertion I think I know the answer but want to see it clearly. Why do you feel a weave is favorable to a black woman natural hair? |
sinizia:They say when a foool is ranting don't rant along with them lest passersby take you for brothers. 1) Yes my forefathers wore dolce and gabana as well 2) Again you are comparing something from your body to something material. But in your head you have made a valid point- this your logic "Illness is from your body so if you treat it with medicine which is man made, you are a hypocrite" if you can't comprehend they point I am trying to convey I can't help you. 3) I said she is one of the most beautiful women in Nigeria and if you cant see that then again no point ranting and I never made her spokeswoman for humanity. But some people like to argue for argument sake especially when they see that the person they are Ranting at is making good points somewhat like Orubebe. If you like go tell you daughter to go put on a plastic wig on her head because it makes her "beautiful" and that her natural hair is something that has to be improved upon, give her an inferiority complex and tell her she is not good enough as she is. |
sinizia:Maybe your fore-fathers wore leaves but mine certainly did not again you sound stupyd comparing something material man made things to intrinsic God made attributes. And no I didn't go to college to be comedian but I do consider myself humorous . Here is a candid interview given by one of the most beautiful women in Nigeria on the subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zS5VEZCpyqc |
sassychic:If it were only that I don't think I would have a Problem with it. But don't lie there is a wide spread perception in the black population that weave is classier a sign of affluence and beauty. I remember watching on CNN a discussion on weave-on in Nigeria and they interviewed several women one was a lawyers and she said as a professional wearing your natural hair is a no no as you look unkept, dirty and poor and weave was a sign of upwards mobility. I was so embarrassed to hear such non sense being broadcast to the world. In no other race do people wear the hair or imitation of another races hair and feel proud of it. |
