thank you sir. I'm not sure he's taking corrections though.
Of all the posters you are the most illogical. You have nothing to contribute apart from insults and poorly conceived utterances.

NO ONE IS DEFENDING BOKO HARAM NO ONE. But condoning killing of innocent bystanders in their hundred is barbaric especially from the government forces.

For condemning what is wrong, yes I understand that the world is not a fairy tale but this country is perverse if we can blindly accept what the security services are doing not just in the north east but all over the country, it is anarchy a free for all no regard for human life.

Actually watch the Documentary and envisage yourself as an innocent being condemned like that. And now envisage yourself as a soldier there and are you telling me the only option open to you is to kill anyone and everyone that you that "looks" guilty. I hope sh't like this never ever happens to you.

@Jbenue: welcome to the real world.
"A man who wishes to make a profession of goodness in everything must necessarily come to grief among so many who are not good. Therefore it is necessary for a ruler, who wishes to maintain himself, to learn how not to be good, and to use this knowledge and not use it, according to the necessity of the case" -- Niccolo Machiavelli
Yes I know asked Eddard Stark. But what you are saying is extremely dangerous, you are in essence abdicating your right to life, well being and all round wholeness to the whim of an authority that might decide to infringe on the aforementioned based on circumstances and situations that are niether in your control nor involving you.

Correct me if I am wrong but was The Prince not ostensibly written for as the name alludes to a princely ruler or an oligarch in which an individual wields the power of life and death. We "run" a democracy here in which the lives of citizens are guaranteed if an organ of state such as the military cannot respect that then the whole bloody thing might aswell be jettisoned.

this OP is so lame! I pray the law haunts you down and take you in for questioning.
-are you trying to say the military should be like a painter, carefully carving out piece of land where to perform?
- you've not even understood the power of an army, it's like a monkey playing in a power-house, it could get burnt and there will be nobody to blame.
- the pride of a nation is the military arms, hit one and you cause disaster, attack a soldier and you will be marked as a threat. you think the military job is police job that's why you upload rubbish online and expect people to follow your ways of thoughts. guy you are dull!deal with it.
Congratulations who have successfully written an inane post well done. what are you on about army painter,

If this Army is the pride of the Nigerian nation then this nation has no pride.

Because they are a threat to national security in Nigeria.
Because they have killed 13,000 innocent people for nothing.
Besides it is an extremist terrorist organization with sinister plans for the future.
So When you see "security" men abuse, extorting and killing citizens on a daily basis in you mind are they not a threat to nation security?
When you see civilians killing, extorting and tormenting other civilians are they not a threat to national security.

This wanton exercise in killing in the operation against BK only serves to entrench that sense of lawlessness among security forces and civilians alike. The message is clear Nigerian lives mean nothing. This is an equally ominous threat to national security.

PoliticsRe: Who Is Worse- Boko Haram Or The Nigerian Army?-graphic by Jbenue(op): 5:19am On Mar 18, 2015

LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE.

What the army is doing is wrong and immoral, it can happened to you aswell. Indiscriminate killing is does not help in a situation like this, certainly it is the easier route to take but what will the long term consequences be for perpetrator and victim?

these civilian JTF would in future still pose a threat to pple in their communities.
Boko haram would end soon enough.
but what then happens to the blood thirsty Hunters?
u think they would go back to farming or sewing shoes?
i dont think so..
GBAM I was just going to make that point and people who have been wrong will remember make no mistake. This lust for vengance will drive them back to BK even if they had no inclination of joining in the first place
PoliticsRe: Only Jonathan Can Move Nigeria Forward by Jbenue: 5:12am On Mar 18, 2015
So how will Jonathan achieve this El Dorado of peaceful and violence free environment to enact change? Jonathan is corrupt or is surrounded by corrupt people where is the 20bn that was evaporated by NNPC, Where is the 12,000 MW? Answer that.

I made my statement as an unbiased onlooker, and you reduced it to a personal attack! Someone like you would probably do more harm if you were in the shoes of the military or JTF!! I merely highlighted what every rational mind knows! When Muslim fundamentalists urged on their brethren to all forms of evil in the north, no one talked of abuse and degradation of the human condition; yet, they inadvertently cast suspicion on innocents and it became hard to separate the goats from the sheep!
Tell me how you would find a Boko Haram infiltrator in the core Northeast where everyone views anything perceived as anti-islam as untenable, and regarded Boko Haram as a vanguard of Islam, ab initio?
It was only much later, when the attacks turned to the Muslim populace that people began to scream blue murder!
No one can justify brutality and war crimes (for indeed, these are war crimes!), but we must review issues in the context of reality and our own peculiar Nigerian environment! It is easy to accuse from behind laptops and phones, in the safety of our rooms! How would you have handled the situation without any collateral damage? Please enlighten me!!!
You have answered your own question, Boko Haram is killing indiscriminately muslims and christians alike so why not build on the inevitable resentment that this will foster in the community. No one wants to shield the man that killed his son, brother, father etc....But If you go in and pick up exactly where BK left of then You are just driving these disenfranchised people into the hands of BK.

Oh and it wasnt my intention to luanch a personal attack, you just seemed desensitized to the situation.

nobody is going to support boko haram for any good reason.
if you are looking for an excuse to sympathize with boko haram, just say so.
Are You stupid?

This is not about sympathizing with those Bastards...This is about the wanton abuse of CITIZENS of this country countless innocents who have been wrongfully beaten, imprisoned and yes murdered by the armed in their rough handedness and misapplication of "Justice". Nigerians are so docile because its happening somewhere else and to someone else you are making stupid statements. It can easily happen to you your loved ones me anybody. But like so many things in the country we will treat it lightly and brush it under the carpet.

How can a Soldier take a cutlass and slit the throat of a man who is bound and tied.

If you pray for rain, you must deal with the mud! While it's sad that lives have been lost, and property destroyed, this is the harsh reality of any war...verbal or physical: there must be collateral damage! May the souls of the innocent rest in peace, and may we never be collateral damage in Jesus name. Amen!
Hopefully one day you will experience the "COLLATERAL DAMAGE" experience and come back and tell me how it feels. This is the purile and brainless acts of an under trained and ill disciplined rabble. How is beating someone till the point where they will tell you they had SE.X with the Queen of England a reliable way of ascertaining their guilt. These actions are rather helping to strengthen Boko Harams cause.
PoliticsWho Is Worse- Boko Haram Or The Nigerian Army?-graphic by Jbenue(op): 3:56am On Mar 18, 2015
Boko Haram is a repulsive terrorist organisation that has no place in th 21th century we all know. But the means in which our armed forces are employing to find and destroy this organisation, is nothing short of PURE EVIL OF THE HIGHEST ORDER!!!! I pity my Northern brothers who are caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. This investigative documentary by Dispatches shows in a very vivid way the atrocities being perpetuated by the Nigerian army on the people that they have sworn to protect. Extra Judicial Executions, Torture and Beating of Women and Children and vile disregard of humanity

Fellow footy lovers, it has come to that time of year again when we all hope and wait with bated breath, with eyes ever fixated on sports news sources with eager anticipation. That's right the Transfer Window Deadline is nigh!!

And as every fan would testify, their team could always be that little bit better. Whether you think you need a Rock of a Defender to built the foundations of a title challenge upon or a Midfield Enforcer to manhandle opposition players or even a little attacking wizard to provide bountiful goal assists or bang them in himself. We all know the players we need for our team so state your team and your ideal deadline day signings.
